A long run from the dark tunnels of Black November HQ in the Development Zone to night views at Regatta Bay. There are a couple of edits. Mostly where I mess up, so I can have the whole run as a continuous clip, and because Regatta Bay looks amazing at night. Something went wrong with the recording near the end, so the frame rate after it goes to night is bad.

in my opinion regata bay and ocean pier are the best regions of the city of glass
A coisa que eu mais odeio nesse jogo é merda da cidade. Eu não sei por que eles decidiram ir full sci fi ou cyberpunk no segundo jogo. O primeiro Jogo é um simbolo de Design, uma aula e o segundo Mirror's Edge fez parecer que a faith passou 200 anos na cadeia. Sim o movimento é fluido, a gameplay foi melhorada em alguns aspectos mas "teia de aranha?" por favor! Já se foram alguns anos desde esses dois titulos mas até HOJE eu não suportei a cidade do M'E 2 . A ambientação não é palpavel, não é nada comparado com as formas solidas do M'E 1 - cenários que podemos comparar com o da vida real apesar das cores fortes e contrastes que fazem a cidade do M'E 1 ser diferente, se diferenciar de qualquer outra capital no mundo. Apesar da tinta, independente da cor - a gente pode ainda ver nas texturas a verdadeira solidez de objetos. Consegue sentir o desgaste deles com ranhuras e manchas de limo pela exposição a chuva - já no ME2 os cenarios são 100% artificiais como se o jogo fosse imergido numa especie de matrix virtual aonde a faith flutua como um progama num sci qualquer por ai. Antes as construções eram palpaveis, na maiora das vezes 'faziam sentido' era possivel imaginar um trabalhador em cima dos tapumes, salas que estavam em construção e a Faith usava verdadeiros obstaculos para se movimentar. No 2 tudo foi pensado somente na liberdade da faith forçando o cenario TODO A SE ENTREGAR A FLUIDEZ DA FAITH. Comparando a mainstory do primeiro, apesar de simples, ela faz sentido - ainda falando do aspecto da cidade em si já o segundo nem posso comparar. Desculpa pela choradeira toda - mas Mirror's Edge 1 foi uma realização quando vi o conceito do jogo e os primeiros trailers, sua simplicidade estetica consegue arrebentar e chamar atenção de tal maneira que se tornou um simbolo - até uma criança poderia desenhar e vc teria certeza o que ela estava desenhando - é uma comparação estranha eu sei haha! O segundo não tem esse apelo visual e os caminhos são todos misturados visualmente, só com o tempo você vai se localizando e demarcando pontos, se familiarizando mas não tem nenhum local especial que faça vc parar e ver beleza nesse mar de formas geometricas estranhas de filme sci fi No primeiro - sim o jogo era mais linear - porém mesmo assim vc muitas vezes tinha escolha e caminhos alternativos. enfim. é uma pena que a mecanica tão boa assim possa ter se perdido por essa escolha futurista do time por trás do ME 2.

Vou ter que discordar de você mano, eu acho os cenários desse ME Catalyst bonitos pra krl. Muitas vezes me vi parando o fluxo do parkour em Regata Bay ou Ocean Pier só para apreciar o vista, o cenário e as cores. É tudo muito limpo, futurista e sci-fi, sim, mas encaixa com a distopia que é o universo nesse jogo, em que o governo controla tudo e todos e a cidade de vidro é a imaginação do que deve ser a "cidade perfeita". Não pode ter sujeira a vista, não podem existir pessoas desempregadas, ou crime, tanto que pessoas que não se encaixam nesse padrão (os 'employees') são jogadas em prisões para serem "corrigidos", ou enviados para campos de concentração em cidades próximas, para que fiquem longe de vista. A coisa que vou ter que concordar é que parece sim que Faith passou 200 anos na prisão, hahaha. O pulo no design da cidade e o avanço tecnológico de um jogo para o outro é absurdo. Dito isso eu amo a estética da cidade de vidro nos dois jogos. O uso do "MAGrope", o grappling hook do jogo, também é bem preguiçoso, vou ter que concordar. Poderia ter usos mais interessantes além de apenas servir de meio de transporte de um ponto aberto da cidade, para outro. O fato de existir esses choke points que ligam uma parte aberta do mundo do jogo ao outro é outro ponto preguiçoso ao meu ver, quebra a imersão e proposta de ser um "mundo aberto".

@@oshinoshinobu9500 I know that's a late reply, but I've seen on the internet that going into the power settings in Control Panel and changing minimum and maximum CPU usage to 99% can reduce stuttering drastically in the Frostbite 3 based games when you have Intel Turbo Boost/AMD Precision Boost Overdrive enabled (most of the modern CPUs have this enabled by default) since those games don't like fluctuations in the base core frequency.
It's like watching Dying Light 2 but controlling a woman.

Люблю когда персонаж делает кувырок и камера с ней тоже переворачивается. Это так динамично. В играх такое редко увидишь
I envy you having fun in this game, because I think it's a terrible waste the original game's universe, which had a very unique atmosphere, with great textures and lights in a today's city. This second episode is indeed more fluid, but looks like a lot of other futuristic games.

It's a shame they designed the city to have such linear routes and transitions between areas. I recognize so many of these spots because of how frequently it forces you to go the same way

Honestly i enjoyed the game. Its not an epic masterpiece that will go down in history like bioshock. But it was enjoyable for me. At no point playing it did i think the game sucked. It just wasn't a great story.
