Yeah. The first part of the game when you leave prison and run to the point where the game slows stops for a bit to show you the city is amazing. Glad I went in mostly blind for that. I really hope it gets another title, but it didn't sell too well unfortunately. I'd like it if they expanded downwards a bit so you can go into buildings a bit more and maybe a little at street level so you could get a better feel for the city
1st game had so much more iconic and almost palpable atmosphere , in 2nd whole city looks like a giant playground with too many elements, looking updated like its a sequel not prequel, too much drama and weird lighting , maybe unreal 3 engine gave it that unique look and feel in 1st game
I think the graphics are so good because they didn't really put much textures in it. More like they made it extra shinny and reflective so it interacts with the environment.
Na Frostbite 3 is just a really good engine. Look at Battlefield 1 if u want of an example of a game with more texture variety that still looks stunning.
Transgender homosexual All modern engines are capable of doing this, so the graphics arent just good because of the engine. Gotta agree with op tho, the minimalistic design gives this game its charme
Thanks. Yeah, I love how the game looks, even more than the first one. The graphic design and style are amazing. I have another similar run on my channel but at night and with no edits ruclips.net/video/UwDp-vNgRBY/видео.html&
You are making me to play this game again. Even after finishing story 3-5 times my mind is still to play it. Because of the relaxing game design and music.
I was hooked on first mirrors edge the very second I saw couple of screenshots in a magazine circa 2007. It looked so different from any other game, just some static images and I was sure i want to play this game - without even knowing anything about it. I just knew I wanted to explore this world.
Sometimes i wish we'd get an even bigger third Mirrors Edge that plays in this one beautiful city. Then i remembered its EA, the same company that thinks singleplayer games arent a valid business model.
Making Mirrors Edge 2 open world was the best decision ever. Sadly its the reason why I never beat it. You never really get tired of traversing the city in different ways; for me at least.
Well shouldn't you feel that in a parkour game? The world to the player is a boss course filled with checkpoints, shortcuts and restrictions. In any other game this would be pretty bad for a free roam game but its perfect for a parkour game like mirrors edge, there are always different ways you could go but you need to go in the fastest way possible. That's why runners vision is a thing, it's for people who don't have a free mind in how to get to point A to point B or to make those people a term. Casual gamers. It is only until you finish the whole game that you have a sense of freedom and knowledge. So I think this games formula is damn near perfect
Z- Chan For real though, I feel like the game would be boring as hell if it was just a regular city. The formula works for assassins creed, but not for a parkour based game like mirror’s edge
Z- Chan if it was going to be like that, why make it open world and stuff? Open world is to explore and sometimes people actually want to explore the game and not just do parkour. This game didn’t have a reason to be open world
Thanks. The slide-rolls may or may not be there to give me a point where I can edit clips together in the event I mess up. I have another video doing an improved route for this run without the red guide line and no edits, so less slide-rolls. ruclips.net/video/UwDp-vNgRBY/видео.html
yeah I'm bothered by the leg animations like no other. they look like two floppy string beans dangling from my torso. god i hate it so much. maybe its just me haha
I preferred ALL the animations in the original. They had a lot more camera movement (especially the door opening) which added weight and made it feel like you were actually inside Faith's head. Catalyst suffers from that smooth, floaty feel that has bogged FPS games for decades.
@@Noah-Lach thats only your opinion,i liked catalyst more(except short story, and almost nothing to do after you finished the game:guessing that you completed all side missions and other stuffs),to me it felt super smooth.
Ermal34 Yes obviously it was my opinion lol, hence the opening words “I preferred.” Catalyst was fun too but I just feel like it was missing something.
i love this game and i love the gameplay But I know shes in pain and shes tired but i hate the OOF and the AH and the ZZT It makes me feel uncomfortable
I don’t blame you, I prefer catalyst over the original as well, the minimalistic vibrancy of the games city of glass is gorgeous, especially with shaders and mods, animations are more fluid and clean in my opinion, and the combat is also a lot more enjoyable in my opinion :D The original still has its charm and can see why people like it over catalyst
Never said is was... The option in settings is there, likely due to how it was exported. This one is (as it says in the video title) ruclips.net/video/UwDp-vNgRBY/видео.html
Because basically every game I record is going to be 60FPS, so I export them at 60FPS. Used the same settings for this but something went wrong with it, hence why it's not actually 60FPS and the dodgy frame rate at the end.
This game seriously had one of the most beautiful themes/cities.

I agree, but nothing compared to the original.
The sad part of it is that the map is very small
1st game had so much more iconic and almost palpable atmosphere , in 2nd whole city looks like a giant playground with too many elements, looking updated like its a sequel not prequel, too much drama and weird lighting , maybe unreal 3 engine gave it that unique look and feel in 1st game

For real bruh
The architecture in this game is beyond anything I’ve seen in any movie or game. It’s gorgeous
What about Mass Effect architectures?
I literally love this game. I know a lot of people don’t but I sincerely love it.
Great Run. This is by far the most beautiful game I've ever played.

ground time: 42 minutes, parkour time 10 minutes

*"ooh uuh agh ugh agh"*
100k per month
And people say that the map is too small
I think the map is too small, you can only run through the city for 10 minutes to see all of it.
@@majumder456 yeah but that still is 10 mins of non stop running. Of course the map isn't gonna be a Skyrim sandbox.
I mean it feels really small because there isnt any multiplayer with other people, huge mistake for an open world game
@@Icaruuuuusss Mirror's Edge with multiplayer? Are you mad? That was never gonna happen lol.

This is catalyst, not 2, sadly
A video like this can almost make you forget about the skill point/unlock system.
now this is a game that's worthy of rtx

AHH! The graphics are so beatiful and simplistic! It's such a good game!
What i hate about this game is that the world feels more like an obstacle course than an actual city. Just flat cubes on top of other flat cubes
Nah, in my perspective it's more like an unfinished city
No Name no not really

You clearly don’t have the game. The red lines are the most helpful thing about the game.
