To be fair to Gardus, the whole “It’s a day ending in y, better sacrifice myself for Sigmar” problem is shared by most of the Stormcast characters. They tend to put themselves into unnecessarily, ridiculously dangerous situations even for people who can come back to life.

The analogy with Gardus and Bear Gryll killed me. Of all the comparisons, that was not the one I saw coming XD

I hadn't appreciated it before, but I love the fact that Behemat's remains are at the foot of what is, effectively, an enormous beanstalk with a giant's lair at the top.
One thing that does seem off to me in this and the recent White Dwarf story linked to the Dawnbringer series is the disdain people in the Mortal Realms have for 'fairy tales'. This is a world in which magic weirdness is commonplace, oh and by the way the Ghyran crusade is accompanied by literal fairies. You'd think they would have a more open-minded perspective on what's possible.

I would see it in the same way religeon has evolved. In the past monsters like the leviathan and giants called the nephelim existed. Now christians dont believe in that for the majority.

You do realize TODAY there are people who think we didn't go to the moon, vaccines are fake, the world is flat, etc?

It seem like Gardus is a great warrior, but a terrible leader. He just can't see how he might influence the situation around him except by getting into a fistfight. He could have maybe given some orders to the troops, shared intelligence or just advised people, but no. He goes alone to the fight and dies a heroic death, because that is what he knows best. Sigmar created warriors, but that is not what the Mortal Realms need right now. They need generals who know the strengths and weaknesses of each faction of their coalition.
Anyway, the point where the Sylvaneth create fire-lines for the Cities army sounds like what happens when someone who knows both armies uses their synergies to great effect on the battlefield(tabletop). Kinda like what the Order armies should be doing. The cities general is doing what the stormcast should do but cannot and it is glorious. Keep up the good work :)

Definitely on the side of Gardus sacrificing himself too much for it to mean anythjng that hes alive. Unfortunately he seems to find more value on his own demise! 😅

6:19 I mean yes but he does pay a price for it, right? Gradually losing more and more of himself by doing it. @2+Tough

TLDR do you have any plans to have your content available as a podcast?
I love your content as the most approachable yet thorough sigmar lore . However im making a lifestyle shift away from youtube and into podcasts and wish i could listen to your content that way. Either way your channel is a great resource and source of entertainment. Thank you!
