As a Cards fan, everything we've done since getting rid of poison, I mean Keim has been awesome. Monti has been an amazing breath of fresh air, killed two drafts in a row. Aside from adding a couple more pieces, I think the only other thing that needs to happen is Kyler's maturity.
I've never been 100% on board with K1 NOT because of his size (although it will ALWAYS be a factor) but because he's been a drama queen since getting to AZ. Except, from what I could tell, this last season. He seemed to mature. Can't wait for the season to start to truly find out.
If your boss gave you a bad performance review and you 100% disagree wouldn't you be upset? Most people with a backbone will have no problem letting them know how they feel. Both parties have keep it professionally and keep what was said behind close doors.
I don't blame Kyler for being upset. Cardinals have no business leaking out that information. Then you have the losing, the injuries, DHop suspension, the scandals, low locker room morale, and people trying to save their jobs while Hardknock cameras filming everything. The whole season was a toxic disaster. Big reason the new Cardinals staff/management cleaned house.
@@lordtryforce Good points my friend. I still think that the "study clause" in his contract was there for a reason. A reason I don't disagree with. K1 has been a Prima Donna since entering the NFL. Does some of that have to do with the old regime and how they handled things? I'm sure. But I also believe half of it falls on Kyler.
As I said, last year, with the new regime everything seemed Gucci. K1 seemed, to me, to mature a bunch. I just want to see it for a full season. And being a Cards fan, I want to be behind Kyler 100%. His talent is UNDENIABLE.
Keim was a problem, go ask BA. I think he left cuz of keim gross negligence.

Thank god kiem’s gone! His whole reason for the study clause BS. He wanted to show Kyler he still had power over him. Which only hurt Kyler’s image. Guy was the worst! Worst GM in the history of the league

You're rebuilding. You need a bad year. Just want to see improvement from kry players. NFL too competitive to not tank first 2 years and build roster up now. Take this from a bears fan. We finally got it right. It takes 3-4 years. ..not 2. Y'all probably will reset QB too after this season . Murray contract is a problem. You can get his productivity from a rookie if the rest of offense is built up.

People dont understand how bad we were in 2018. Kyler came in with nearly an identical roster and completely made the offense compete with most teams including 2019 ravens and chiefs.
Kliff was also in way over his head as a head coach. Gannon and Monti have this team poised to make real measured success.
A historically bad offense. This comment is the one everyone should understand. I hope we keep investing in the line on both sides
People don’t understand how much an Elite QB can change the same exact team. It can make the “bottom 3 offense” a Top 15 Offense all due to competent QB play!

As a fan of this team, I loved this video. You're right. Steve Kiem should've been fired after 2018, but I'm glad he didn't because I like what Monti has done so far. With Kiem there they were the oldest team for years. He also drafted and brought in draft picks and veterans that had a history of injuries.

As a Cardinals fan I haven’t been this excited for a season in a long time. For once we’re drafting well, Kyler has people who actually believe in him, and we saw how this team played last year with 0 talent and Kyler out most of the year. Just wait until this year!

love your analysis brother, we are making the playoffs this year for sure we got some great players on the roster already and our rookies from last year should all be better hopefully a few of em breakout and we can literally be competing for the division, I believe MHJ will hit the ground running as well.
Speaking as someone who's been a Cardinals fan since 1975 I wish I can believe you. I've had the rug pulled out from under me so many times when it comes to this team that I've lost count. I've seen hot starts turn into November/December tailspins. I've seen playoff teams get embarrassed in the playoffs. I've seen this team go from being first in the division to finishing 3rd and out of the playoffs. And I've seen promising seasons from players only to have those hopes dashed with injury. So say I'm jaded is an understatement. 1976, 1977, 1984, 1988, 2007, 2020, 2021 are some of the most painful seasons I've ever endured. And, yeah, they did tease me in 2008 and even dared have the lead late in the Super Bowl only to dick punch me again with a monumental collapse in the end. Like I said, I'd like to believe you but I've been kicked in the crotch far too often to have anything other than guarded optimism.

I dont expect for us to have an amazing year or even compete for the west title, but i do expect us to be a team the needs to be prepared for. Last year against the cowboys and eagles we proved that we're not a simple bye-week, but this year we will beat teams that don't bring their A-game. I wholeheartedly feel like we can be a real contender in a season or two, once the defense fills out and our rookies get some experience behind them. I'm finally excited to see the team we're becoming.

They will start slow. I'm expecting 3-7 before the bye week. But this team will take off towards the end of the season with their culture + schedule + allowing these rookies to develop. I expect them to go 5-1 after the bye with a potential playoff birth game against the 49ers to end the season to finish 9-8.
Darius Robinson has 7-8 sacks this season and Ojulari gets 8-10 and our Defense is going to be really good!!

Life long Bird gang here, I'm not getting my hopes up too much, we are still rebuilding but that being said with the talent we have been blessed with, definitely DO NOT sleep on this team. The eagles did and we weren't even healthy and look at that outcome. Lets get it Cards!!

Best case scenario: 12-5, NFC West title and an NFC Conference appearance.

Arizona looked good with a backup qb last year. Entire team was scrappy and played hard. With more talent, I project more close games going the cards way. For the qb, if KM can be efficient and healthy, cards should be improved.

He is finally operating in a real NFL offense as opposed to Kliff Kingsbury's dink and dunk college "air raid" horseshit offense! Steve Keim is gone after 10 grueling years of drafting combine freaks who didn't know how to actually play football! The new GM Ossenfort has been building a foundation of gritty players who know and understand ball and are high character guys! This is why you are the best Krich, because you get it!

They are definitely a sleeper team. Predicting a 10-7 record and a playoff birth. A lot of people are going to be surprised next season. Their offense is easily going to be top 10.

I didn’t like the Darius Robinson pick that much. In the years 2000-2010 Robinson would have been a top 15 pick. I would have drafted Malik Nabers over Harrison. Nabers is FAR more explosive and should have won the Ballitnekoff last year not Harrison. I love the Max Melton pick he is good. I like Trey Benson. I think he was the best RB in the draft and Tip Reiman love him. He is fucking humongous and the best blocking TE in this class. Christian Jones the offensive tackle from Texas I like him too and think he will probably be a starter some day at tackle or guard but probably tackle. And I LOVE their 2nd round pick last year. BJ Ojulauri the Edge rusher out of LSU. And BJ did me proud by getting 40 tackles, 4 sacks, and 1 pass break up. Not bad for a slightly undersized 21 year old edge. He is 6’2’’ 250 and had 34.250 inch arms.

Our record does not show how good we were last year, if we had kyler last year we could have been a 500 team, and we’ve improved, so with that logic we should be above 500 ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I think we could hit 10 wins, and with the schedule release now up, I think it’s very possible we could have a good 3-4 wins through the first 6 and then I think the rest of the schedule is pretty cake(except division games, they’re always a battle)

They were plucky as heck last season, giving a fight to teams that didn't think they would be anything other than a speed bump the first part of the season. they weren't just gonna roll over and wait for Kyler to get back and it showed. and yeah, they beat the Eagles, they beat the Steelers, Cowboys and Falcons - and while the Falcons were the worst of those four teams, they were doing well at the time Arizona beat them. they were on the verge of either leading their division, or letting the Buccs take it. (spoiler, they let the Buccs take it)
also - all three of those other teams, Eagles, Cowboys and Steelers got to the first round of the playoffs and immediately got their asses beat. (yeah the cowboys score looks WAY closer than it actually was) - so I took solace in that.
but now... to see my team potentially being a contender again... well that gives me something to look forward to this season.

To think the cardinals have a chance next year when every team in our division had a better draft and rookie free agent signing is beyond delusional. The front office is top 3 worst in the league signing only 3 rookie free agents with everyone else in our division signing 15+ like the Rams and Seahawks.

Dude if you can draft Isaha Simmons will all of his freak of nature traits and can’t integrate him into your defense then you shouldn’t be coaching in the NFL. Simmons at Clemson played Safety, Cornorback, and Edge rusher. He never played MLB that I’m aware of. Yea he is big as fuck at 6’4’’ 240 but he is faster and quicker than ALL linebackers in the NFL and is is faster and quicker than most safety’s and is fast enough to play outside CB. I know that because he played there a lot at Clemson. The first spot I would have tried him out at is Free Ssfety. If that didn’t work Stromg Safety if that didn’t work Nickel CB and if not there then I would have told him to get up to 250 lbs because he is the teams new edge rusher. And if absolutely all that failed I would put him at outside CB but he would need to get his weight down to 230 for that. He can play one of those positions. VERY rarely do you have a player
