Today I am sharing with you my thoughts on the Monat Hair Care line. These products were all purchased by me and I am not a market partner, nor am I affiliated with Monat in any way. Just like anything, some people have a positive experience with products, some people have a negative experience. If it works for you, use it, if it doesnt work for you, dont use it. My hair is down to my waist. Monat works for me.
The use of these products keeps more people thinking this kind of brand is good to work in. and it's just actually making more money to the people that are actually profiting at the top. The same way we have seen and stopped using many companies for acts that are not helping the country should be applied with these cons.

@@chickpea I come from a family of small business owners who have truly achieved the American dream. This is a shampoo and conditioner. Going to the grocery store and picking up Tresemme or Pantene is no different.
@@ems44 But in order to succeed in the company you have to get thousands of people to join your downline, making them lose money in the process, plus Monat is way more expensive than Pantene, so if I can get the same product for cheaper and without supporting a bad business model, then i'm going for that option

I tried it and really liked the split end cream and the blowout cream. I didn't notice much of a change from the rest. The hair mask was nice too.

@@judidequaker2490 I have used it for six months and find it amazing I’m 62 and my over processed hair was in layers down to middle back and I used expensive products but still losing tons of hair and hair was all over my house car I was just tired of trying any more a girl who helps me was at a market in our park and she said oh I love this and I spent the next hour talking about Monat and left with a few products and signed up for a partner with her! I’ve not sold nothing yet as I’ve had major surgeries and been disabled but I’ve used the products and my hair is so pretty my curls are back and bouncy and shiny my wrinkles are less noticeable useing the oil and skin care products and I will not go back to nothing else! It costs me to much and I have to just ignore it but I’m hoping I’ll recoup when I start to sell

I started using these products and after seeing such amazing results I decided to become a Market Partner so I appreciate you taking the time and posting something that is completely unbiased because you're right, all great reviews seem sorta fishy to some people because sadly we've all been fed so many lies that its hard to believe when something great comes our way. HEALTHY HAIR STARTS WITH A HEALTHY DIET NOT SHAMPOO..Hair repair is temporary and will mostly wash out with each shampoo you will lose 80 to 100 hairs daily and is a natural process not a detox from a product so if you want healthy hair keep your appointments with your stylist 4 to 6 weeks and trim your ends, I am a stylist of thirty years i hope this helps.

Yeeessss! Agreed. My scalp has been due to hormonal imbalance and when i improved my diet, this helped immensely. Treatments with my stylist or even home remedies like jamaican jaboba oil, egg and mayonaise, or apple cider vinegar is a bonus (:
This review really helped! Started my renew shamp + con on fri, about two days in now & I could immediately tell the diff but I did notice hair fall out which I freaked out about omg but the more I read reviews about it I think I’m going to continue. Their skin care line looks amazing too!

Thank you so much for your review! I have been using the Renew Shampoo and the Smoothing Conditioner for just a couple of weeks. I started to question my purchase because my first couple of washes my hair looked fantastic but then it became pretty frizzy and not so fabulous. I was also shedding a lot which was very concerning and my scalp was itching. I tried the Rejuvabeads today and was very happy with them but was still worried I had made a bad decision purchasing these products, as I thought maybe it was making my hair loss worse instead of better. I started to search for reviews on the internet and of course found mostly negative angry reviews that were terrifying me! Then I found your review and it was such a breath of fresh air! You are so honest and normal. You explain everything very clearly and answered so many of my questions! You explained the itching and the shedding. I know now that that is expected and that it should improve soon! I don't feel crazy because you went through a similar experience and now your hair looks GORGEOUS AND HEALTHY, just like the sweet lady I signed up as a VIP with a few weeks ago. That is why I signed up, that is what I am trying to achieve for my hair! Now I am looking forward to trying the Masque and a few of the other products. Amy's Cup of Tea do an overnight scalp treatment with the Rejuveniqe oil if you have it. This'll help you through the itchy part of the detox phase. It's just itchy because your pours are being cleaned out :)

Great video, very well done. I have been a Market Partner for 1 1/2 years, and love the products also. My hair always seems to stop growing at my shoulders and now it is almost half way down my back. I don't have a lot of people down my line, but am making a little extra on the side and it is paying for my products. Hopefully my business will continue to grow and who knows, maybe one day I can quite my day job. Love Monat!!

Also here in Nova Scotia, they are not approved by the Better Business Bureau because of so many complaints, and the BBB have asked Monat to make things right with their customers so we'll see what happens.
do your homework! Its already been done! Remember when people talk bad about something or someone it usually means that person or business is getting publicity of all kinds. The good as well as the bad. I love this company and this product! Monat is Modern Nature exploding the market. Dont sit their and make excuses! Come on board!!!See ya at the top!!!!
ETyler So why are they European Certified?! Because the products are good! They are tested by third parties like L’Oréal and Proctor and Gamble! Completely safe! Nothing to fear! These work on healthy ppl, totally! If your still shedding, check your health!

It has been 3 years you made this video ... can you give us an update if you still using this brand?? I have never heard about them until a friend of mine just approached me with these products.
I’m surprised she gave you the IRT system because that’s only for intense repair like balding and alopecia to be used only for the scalp not good for dry hair or long hair...... that why they create the IRT conditioner for a little moisture. I’m glad it didn’t make your hair fall out. Great honest review 😊
I saw a video from a licensed hair stylist and salon owner talking about how monat destroyed her client’s hair and explaining how it having a natural based product is not the same as a natural product. And how the ph level in this product is close to a relaxer and that’s why it destroys people curls or color treated hair. And that the product claims that first you have to go through a detox phase and to power through it , but the actual professional said that no way you should not experience hair loss or itching or sores etc. that you body having a reaction to the chemicals not your body detoxing! You can also get salon luxury products for cheaper
And maybe they buyed the false version, liked wallmart sell and amazon, that things happen
I'm betting they bought a dupe! I've seen a huge change in my hair in 4 months. My hair is becoming less frizzy, the hairloss stopped and my hair is growing back in!! You have to make sure you're getting the real product! If someone is having scalp irritation, massive hair loss or sores on their scalp its because they have an allergy to something in the product they're using and need to switch one of Monats gentler systems.
I have platinum blond color treated hair and have used MoNat for almost 2 years.
My hair is healthier now than it’s ever been!
And because it’s healthier it’s now longer than it’s ever been!
The PH is not close to a relaxer!
You can get ph test strips and check it for yourself.
I never went through a detox stage but I have used professional products since 1988.
However NOT ONE of the many professional products I’ve used has given me the results MoNat has!
Not even a close!
Oh and I am a professional Cosmotologist since 1988!
The detox that some people experienced was the old Grocery store brand products being lifted off their hair and scalp. The wax and build up being removed.
Which is why people have to “Mix it up” when it comes to hair products is buildup.
Professional products don’t have as much buildup as store bought products.
Maybe actually try the product yourself and see if it works before bashing the company for hearsay.

Although initial outlay for products seems "expensive" the value is there because the products deliver the results and they last so long. I received mine the first week of January and am still using them. My containers are still half full and though my hair is short I am using a dime size portion on my first wash and half that on the second wash! I will continue to buy these products as they have changed the texture of my thick, greying hair for the better. My hair is soft, and no longer plagued by the wiry texture of the grey strands.

I love MONAT. Saved my Hair. been using for 2.5 yrs. Wont use anything else. Its not exp. once you get through detox. I order shampoo every 3-4 months. I ve use revive to start because I had brittle falling out hair. Now i use the the advance hydration system. My hair is silky sexy healthy gorgeous hair. I see that you have shorter length hair like me. How long do you feel your detox lasted. I feel like I’m going through the “I hate my hair detox” that she explained. Just looking for feedback on how long this may take.

How often do you use the intensive repair conditioner and shampoo if the the detoxing is that strong , is it something that you can
use weekly or is it something you would use once a month.
I've been using Monat for one month and I am very happy with it. One pump of the leave-in conditioner is enough but at times, I get major tangles. I agree with you about the price. Today, I just started with IRT shampoo & treatment :)

Also try adding just a few drops of Rejuvenique™ Oil either to your product or just at the end as a finisher. Just a few drops does an amazing job for me. I don't use conditioner anymore. It's washing then, Rejuvabeads & Rejuvenique ™ Oil for me. I have long thick hair coarse hair that goes down to the middle of my back! I love Monat!!
If you feel like its too tangly you can switch to the renew shampoo or the mens shampoo, it still has the active ingredients but more hydrating
So the Magnify system would be better then the Hydration system?
I appreciate this honest review. So tired of reviews from Market Partners. Am I the only one who hasn't seen incredible results from these products? I started with the volume products which were awful for my hair. I have fine hair but it is frizzy and unruly and those products enhanced what I hate about my hair the most. After four months I switched to the renew line which has been much better but I am not seeing the amazing, spectacular results others report.I also use the oil and the mask. Been using products for six months. Bottom line I have spent a lot of money. Products aren't bad but results have not been amazing enough for me to deal with the inconvenience of having to order online, wait over a week for delivery and pay a premium. I really wanted to see incredible results and I just haven't. I will finish what I have but won't repurchase.

It took a lifetime to get the hair you have. Be patient, use the product exactly the way it says. You already have baby fine hair so treat it with a kit glove. To much of anything will not work for your hair type. I just tried the new Oil/cream nourish shampoo and conitioner. I was blown away! if you want samples just ask, then let me work with you. MP #1512721. Dont give up! I promise it works.....
volumizing products are the last thing you want for frizzy hair. it stinks that some market partners ruin it for the customer. you could have gotten the smoothing system which gives moisture and eliminates frizz. anything but volume!!!
@Cierra Rose yep volume basically means very cleansing.. not what you want for frizz. I can't believe she's suggesting the ir line, it's for people who have no hair like bald because it's strong to stimulate hair growth and very drying. It caused my hair to break like crazy!!! Black shampoo or miscellar is brilliant because my hair is dry and very fine.
I love these products. I do not sell either but use all of the products and have experienced great growth and new hair. I take them to the salon with me.

Be great! Men! Do the same! They are great vitamins and will help you as well. Please consult your physician to make sure you can take everything in the vitamins for your health.
Then buy a solid hair product without sulphates, parabens etc.... they generally cost about $20-40/bottle for something salon worthy!
Noelia Vallejo Rosario yes you can! And make sure of what iron is in it. Bad iron can make you sick, that’s why I felt at first like throwing up. Then when I found a good prenatal I felt amazing!
So basically MoNat products are the same price as “solid hair products” which I’m guessing is professional products.

I am a Market Partner, a licensed hairstylist, and absolutely LOVE Monat!!! I have thick, coarse, chemically treated hair, and feel a total transformationin my hair. To all the haters... unless you have used these products for a while to actually feel the benefits should not say anything. To the people that have all said the same thing that it's a scheme are hating to hate. It's not just a 9-5 job to make it in life. Marketing Networks work if you work it like a regular 9-5 job. Florida_grl_43 Beach I think if you are already used to coarse, broken hair then you’d be good with Monat. My hair was smooth, silky and soft but Monat turned it coarse and brittle. I think maybe it does work on some hair types but definitely not for everyone

Heidi Davison my hair wasn’t broken.. just coarse. But if you highlight your hair with lightener then your hair will definitely feel extremely coarse.. but mine has gotten wayyyyy better. True statement.

I loooove Monat! I’ve noticed so many differences with my hair. Flyaways are gone, my hair grows like crazy, and my hair actually holds curls now. I had major issues with oily hair before using it. As soon as my hair dried from washing it, it would be oily already. Also, my hair would NEVER hold curls. After I started using it, the detox happened and I’ve been able to give more time between washes because it takes a lot longer to get oily. Also, my hair will hold curls for 2 days now, whereas before, it wouldn’t hold curls for an hour (with the exact same tools.) I use the Black shampoo & revitalize conditioner 😊

flourishxo Hair does not get to a certain length and just stop growing! It's either breaking off or....you're not keeping it regularly trimmed (¼-½ inch) every 6-8 weeks. Get regular trims now that you think your scalp and hair are healthier and trying to grow your hair out. There is no reason your hair should not get longer than your armpits!

I'm curious to see what your experience will be after a lengthy time using Monat. I can tell you after a year, I've lost 1/3 of my hair, not anemic, thyroid is normal, my stylist gasped when I told him I used this and urged me to go online with the FDA and every single lawsuit pending these people experienced devastating hair loss, like me. If it's working for you that's awesome but I'm beyond devastated at how this ruined my hair and for over 4 months in still losing massive amounts of hair and not only me, my teenage daughter began losing massive massive amounts of hair and I feel utterly responsible because I swore by Monat, spent$$$'s, and neither one of us have ever had dry scalp, hair loss, anything I'm going through currently. I regret buying this, buying into the bs because I'm certainly paying for it now.
Jennifer most of those reports were thouroughly investigated only to find many were on medication, over proccessed hair to begin with and the story goes on. Do your own homework! I am one of the people you say were on medications etc.
Why you all keep deciding to deny some people had and continue to have major problems ,such as hair loss and hormonal irregularity along with many other circumstances is beyond me.
I used the products for 90 days as suggested.
In that time frame
I lost 1/3 of my hair density
I started menopausal sysmptoms again which i hadn't had in 4 years.
My moods were depressive and to say the least all over the place.
To date,i am stilll battling this fight to regain my hair and my self confidence .
I recognize this product has worked for some.
I am thankful it has, however,that knowing does not give the company the rights to negate the damage it has caused many many others.
When you run a business, caring about how your product impacts people,should be your # 1 priority.
This is where monat has failed us.
We have been hurt.
They have not tried to help us.
We are many.
The law suit is ongoing.
No need to fight about who is right or who is wrong.
The truth is
Some it has helped
Some it has devastated.
The question is
Why?
And which side of the coin are you gonna be on?
You want to take the chance?

The fact my 17 year old daughter's hair is experiencing extreme fallout you would think would alarm this idiot ok, there is validity to her comment, and others not looking for anything other than to warn masses of people these products can and have caused severe scalp burns, blistering, and massive hair loss. Which finally, the hair is not coming out in clumps every time I comb what's left, thank God. Monat is apparently so hit and miss... it fried my hair with “natural” ingredients and made it impossible to brush through. My hair is still recovering. The more I used the product, the worse it got.
What type of hair do you have and which product you ordered
I sadly have to say it dried my hair and made it look like brillo. This particular one I used shouldve never been given to dry curly hair to begin with. It would be great for greasy hair. Thank God I stopped in time went back to my old cheaper products and I'm finally getting it to go back to normal

Marla, the let it grow system is best for longer hair and the black line is better for shorter hair (so a lot of men use it). Both are going to promote hair growth :)

I love this products .I have 3 girls and currently dont work i decided to purchase them and its worth every penny ! the quality is exceptional .Im all about what goes in my skin and scalp.
I have VERY thick, VERY coarse hair that is colored to cover grey (40s) and strange as it sounds, i only need to wash my hair once e week (every 5 or 6 days) at which time it still isn't even oily. I wonder if this system would work if i only wash once a week? Will i be in the detox phase extra long? Even air dryed my hair is like Gilda Radner's on a bad hair day so I have to flat iron the crud out of it! Advice please?
Sarah Kalnajs my guess is that if you only wash once a week you probably wouldn't have as much build up as someone like myself. I think these products would still work well for you :)

Each persons detox is different- I personally didn't notice much detox.
Sarah, you may not experience a detox at all with these products, some people do, some people don't! Give them a shot for 30days it's completely risk free!

The products r not ur regular $5 shampoo & conditioners from your drugstore . Your paying for the QUALITY of the products that is backed up by science & will last you typically 4-6 months. If you think of it this way it’s not expensive your SAVING money on products that PERFORM :)

Bethany Lambert no you shouldn’t be worried! Because you’ve been using different hair care products that use harsh chemicals, it acted as a glue to clump up some of the dead hair that was supposed to shed off, therefore making you think you had more than you really did. You should expect shedding for a while. Nothing wrong with that!
Be worried it doesn't stop. I would advise not listening to these people who tell you to keep using it. Do your own research on the complaints. There's thousands of them. This is NOT normal. Even though it's knocked into your head over and over again that it is.
How is it that people are so stupid as to think that losing a lot of hair is a natural thing part of the detoxing process?? I have struggled all my life finding a product that works for my hair. Cantu, Deva Curl ( lost some hair cause of them ) , Shea moisture, etc.. that I resulted to just using Coconut Oil. Because I was tired of my hair feeling like it was full of residue and not soft at all. I was desperate.. and I’m not going to lie, I have only been using their products for a couple days now and I can already see a huge impact on my volume, definition, and moisture. every time I would wash my hair it would feel dry and fragile. And when other hair products touched my face, I will get acne. PLEASE try their VEGAN products before you get whatever Salon products that’s filled with harmful chemicals and fragrances. I must add that I no longer get neck or head pain because of their lightweight products. ❤️

I have dirty brown hair that I dye white and I normally use a purple shampoo and I would love to grow my hair I am worried this would wash out my color, can you use any toning masks or something in addition to these products?
Michaela Beaver yes you can use a toner in addition to Monat. Monat will not wash out the colour, it'll just clean any build up of waxes etc from your hair that have been left by other products :)

I am nervous but trying it. I have long hair and I am older - with a lot of recent hair loss. MY only concern is which to order - I heard that intense repair conditioner has so much protein in it, that it can cause breakage? Confusing!

To help save money, you can buy the 2-in-1 Shampoo that also conditions. I think it's like $35 or $38. I've been using it for a month now, washing my hair every 3 days. I have not experienced any detox symptoms though. Not sure if it's still coming. Thanks for taking the time to be our guinea pig!!

Hey, I was just wondering if you had very tangled hair before Monat? My hair is also very processed (and it's thick). I use the renew shampoo, the treatment masque and the Leave in conditioner with RJ oil, but I'm still getting a net of thick tangles... My hairdresser doesn't think my hair is in poor shape-- am I just using the wrong system? Would the IRT change these results? I still brush it through with a wet brush, and get a decent enough blow-out, but my hair still is untamed.
I've always had tangled hair, so yes. Even now though, with monat I the shampoo still makes my hair tangle. The conditioner, however really helps!

Can the oil be used for hair growth alone or do I need the rest of the products? I use Virtue and I love Virtue but I want something for hair growth.
Yes it can be used alone. I have used the entire product line for 2 yrs and just started selling it. But you can totally use the oil as a stand alone :)

Love this review.. I feel confident that I have gotten into a business that truly cares for our hair.
Unfortunately, it didn't work for me. I tried 3 different shampoo and conditioners, 5 min mask, rejvanique regular, rejvanique light, spray leave in, and the cream leave in..I live with a market partner so she kept telling me to try different things..everything made my hair feel dry and my scalp itchy. She loves everything from them though. It's just not for everyone.
Every single time I use my Monat shampoo I use the exact same amount the exact same way. Never suds with the first wash. ALWAYS suds with the second. 👌🏻
That is the way it works..
See this is where I get confused. I use a quarter size first wash, no suds, second wash still no suds.
Continue washing until you get suds!
Seems like a waste of product to just keep using over and over and hope u get suds
It just means your hair has that much crap on it that the product is trying to remove. Overtime it shouldn't take more than 2 washes to get suds.

Been using it a year now. I never had a detox phase or any of the detox side effects. I still love it. I have no desire to sell it. Just giving personal review.
any shampoo has to lather twice. The first wash is to get the build-up, etc off. It never lathers hardly the first time. So I only use a tiny bit the first time just to get it going and then a little more the second lather. My hair is transformed. I didn't like the price either at first.
I LOVE monat products! A year ago i had 2 VERY noticeable spots on my head that were super thin and balding. A month after using the volume line i saw my hair growing back! I now am a narket partner in hopes to help other men and women who, like me are insecure with their hair loss issues, or just people who want to use healthy and safe products! Depending on the length of your hair it can last 3-6 months. I have long hair to the middle of my back and wash every other day. My shampoo lasts about 3 months. I previously used Aveda, Wen, and Redkin and those only lasted me a little over a month.

Typically the systems last 2-4 months depending on your hair. Most people find they don't have to wash their hair as much when using Monat :)

I have heard MMPs tell cancer patients they can use these products while they undergo chemo, to help prevent hair loss. They don't warn them about the Capixyl or red clover leaf oil and the medical warnings attached. They don't warn them there is a major allergen, Cocamidopropl betaine in their product.
For normal people this allergen might not be an issue but for someone with sensitive skin this allergen voted 2004's allergen of the year can be painful at the very least. Since consumers are hearing from MMPs that the product is non-toxic, natural, pure and organic they are hearing this will be safe for me a cancer patient with sensitive skin or me a patient with lots of allergies. When a client does have an allergic reaction, MMPs without an education have no clue what they are looking at and encourage their consumers to push through the "detox stage", putting vulnerable clients at risk. I have with my own eyes seen an MMP tell a patient to ignore her dermatologist advice and just switch to a different Monat product. Ignore your doctor I sell shampoo I know more than your doctor.

The products are really expensive tho, I understand they’re vegan and lack harmful chemicals but I use other products for my curly hair that have similar ingredients and no harmful chemicals and work fine and don’t break my pocket. The whole purpose of this company is that you join then in selling their products and starting the business. So if you’re willing to do that then you’ll make the money to buy more or if you have the money already that’s great 🤷🏻♀️

Can you alternate it with other products? I have silver hair and I have to use purple shampoo/conditioner a couple times a week
Jenn Product residue, some components in water, and environmental residue will yellow the hair and make it brassy. Monat removes the yellowing substances on the hair strands. Therefore there is no need to use a purple shampoo when using Monat 💁
"Brassy" isn't the issue..my hair is silver. It needs to be toned on a weekly basis to keep the silver/purple tone. My question is: can I alternate this with a weekly toning shampoo? My hair requires weekly toning and it is not something I'm going to stop doing, no matter how much a product claims to be a miracle product. If anyone can answer that I would appreciate it.
Jenn aw I'm sorry, I misunderstood. Yes to keep the 'cooler' shade of silver/purple, you can use a toning shampoo once a week since those tones don't happen naturally. That has nothing to do with yellowing and brassiness, apologies :)
