Well put, and at age 60, I still need to work on this one, especially with those I love the most.
It’s a work in progress for me too
Insanely good video! Massive thumbs up buddy!!!
Thank you, much appreciated
Great Video! The biggest thing I see when I look back it that you don't really have friends.....you have people you do things with and you have one or two true friends and family that will be there 20 years later. When you eliminate all your bad habits, most of the people you thought were your friends seem to disappear.
Exactly! Of all the places I have worked, I have 3 people I would consider true friends from it
Real heavy ones in this man! Appreciate your wisdom and happy birthday!
Thanks. And you’re welcome 🤝
Great stuff, my additions would be, Learn to meditate sooner (I waited till my 30's), learn about what the Ego is asap and become aware that the real power and grace in life is in the heart (Higher Self). That tasting life is all good but don't get suckered into believing that the material illusion is real....Finally, that you can't take anything with you when you die. Peace!
I just started meditation this year too! You are right, it’s highly beneficial
Happy Birthday!
Thank you!
Thank you for this excellent video. I am in my forties also and I agree with your lessons. The truth is that these lessons can be learned only with experience, so we need time and go through "trial and error" to learn
Yeah I agree. Its too bad, As they say, youth is wasted on the young! lol
Great video, I'm 51 & agree on all points 👍
Thank you. Hope you have many more happy, healthy bird days ahead of you 🤝
You’re right, bro. I argue with people on Twitter and I need to stop. lol. Seriously, it hard not to.
It took me brother dying for me to realize that’s it’s a total waste of time.
But yeah, totally is hard to stop
2:41 pausing the video and calling my brother right now. I'll probably just get his mailbox, but I know he will call back soon.
Good idea. 🤝
@@JerryTeixeira Thanks for suggesting it! I even reached him and it was really nice to talk to him for about 15 minutes. Usually, we just e-mail.
@creativetraininghacks awesome
Fourth point.... so important. Do you have a system?
Happy Birthday from Germany btw
Sorry I missed this! How's germany?
Thank you!
You’re welcome, thanks for watching and commenting
Bookmarking this one to my list of videos to watch every few months. Some real gems in here man. Thank you.
You’re welcome. That’s the reason I shared it. We all get so busy with life that the days just scream by. If this can be a little reminder to somebody that helps them be a little more mindful then it was worth the time to make it and share it.
Thanks for watching and commenting
Happy Birthday JT! Thanks for sharing these insights! All of them are precious, some resonate more with me: valuing experiences more than things; spending more time with people who matter to me most; and we have two eyes, two ears, and one mouth hence we need to read and listen more than respond (this is a work-in-progress for me). Cheers!
Listen to understand is the one I am working on most! Thanks for watching and replying, I appreciate you
Excellent list!👍👍 I never expected video game addiction.
At least, not yet. 😬
Took me until I was 30 to get past it
It seems like the least important character-buildimg item, but not spending $100k on a car has repercussions on your financial life for years. We've seen new Navy officers splurge on fancy cars now that they're making some money. We call those Ensignmobiles. Debt is not the way to start out. My husband and I have always driven quite modest cars and have only once had a car payment (for about 8 months). Figure out what's truly worth your time because you pay for everything with your life. Only 24 hrs in a day.
100%. I learned that lesson the hard way. Although, there are people who can realistically afford these cars and who don’t find it a waste of money, and thats fine for them. As long as you are satisfied with the purchase for you, and not doing it “for status” or to impress others.
I realized I just don’t care that much about cars and would much rather use car money on things that matter more to my family and me.
