    Can you do a video how to hit all 3 parts of shoulders (front, rear, posterior) using bodyweight only? Great chest video!

      @JerryTeixeira  10 месяцев назад +3

      My man! I will do exactly. that. I didn't set out to do this at the beginning, but your comment made me realize I should go through each main muscle group, so Ill do delt's next. This way we get through the whole body as a continuous series.

    Great video, but I'm a noob and I guess you've already explained this in one of you other videos, but could you please explain what a set is, and reps etc. Cheers.

    • @JerryTeixeira
      @JerryTeixeira  10 месяцев назад +1

      A rep is preforming an exercise once
      A set is the act of continually performing a series of reps for a given exercise
      So one push-up is one rep
      Performing 5, 6, or 10 pushups in a row is a set

    Thanks Jerry. A few random questions : for reference -how old are you ? ( with all respect)
    2. How many lbs of fat loss per week would you recommend ?

    • @JerryTeixeira
      @JerryTeixeira  11 месяцев назад +4

      I’ll be 44 next month. Fat loss depends a bit on how much fat you have to lose.
      That said, 1 to 1.5 lbs per week is a great pace that indicates you are not losing lean mass if you are also training

    I cant seem to do a single pushup with correct posture, so discouraging.
    My back wings, scalpula?, are always taking over, due to years of doing it that way without realizing it. I can't seem to retract them and rarely get that isolated pump in my chest when doing pushups.
    Any advice, strengthen tips, or ifo would be much appreciated

    • @JerryTeixeira
      @JerryTeixeira  10 месяцев назад +3

      Sure, try grasping a pair of dumbbells, or elevating your hands on some parallettes, a couple bricks, or something to allow you to come down just a few inches deeper at the bottom. Make sure your hands aren’t more than a few inches outside shoulder width.
      Also, have you tried scapular shrugs? So it would be like a push-up but you don’t bend the arm? You would move only the scapula into full retraction and then protraction?
      Practicing that deep retraction that way mag help make the neuromuscular adaptations

    • @caseyp5195
      @caseyp5195 10 месяцев назад +1

      @JerryTeixeira Really appreciate the reply! I'm going to try out the deeper dip on the way down today to see if it helps. Have never tried the scapula shrugs. Just dropped down on the floor to try it, and it was a little awkward trying to retract them without arching my back. It's been years of bad form, so I would imagine it'll take some time to feel comfortable and fix it. Thank you again man, really appreciate the feedback
