The thing you did with butter is the process of making ghee (the indian clarified butter as non Indians might know) it brings the softness and crunchyness if you mix it in any dry flour and then add the rest of wet Ingredients. A verified all indian snack tip for you all.
This is a wonderful recipe but for anybody who's wondering, it works with white sweetener and brown sweetener,(sugar free) and also with organic spelt flour 🙌it's still wonderful
if you want an even richer flavor, use chopped dark chocolate (bonus points if you add espresso powder to the chocolate) and do 1/3 cups each of white sugar, light brown sugar and dark brown sugar

in the intrest of your safety most flour is a dirty and can carry e.coli and other illnesses, If you do want to eat cookie dough with less worry about foodborne illness bake the flour at 300 F for 10 minutes and omit the eggs

I like to mix some chips and chopped up bars. Omg it's so good....those pockets of chocolate. And a 1/4 tsp of espresso powder adds a nice flavor.

I tried her recipe for the crunchy cookies..and girl...GIRLLL...THAT WAS IT! ..but the next time I'll do it again...i will be reducing the sugar a lot...
The downside of it was its toooooo sweet. And she wasn't lying on the smell too..... I was fighting every urge to not eating them raw 😂

1/2 cups of brown sugar
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/3 cups flour
1 cup large or small chocolate chips.
