I'm so soooo happy I downloaded your app a month ago. I needed to relearn how to feed myself properly and the nourish section is super useful. I've been using nourish every single day since I downloaded the PUL app and I feel so good in my body, so energized, and always excited to cook. Also, I'm no longer hungry all the time ahah. Thank you for everything you do! I really cannot thank you enough, your app changed my life❤ My boyfriend has been trying to perfect his cookie recipe for a while so I sent him this video. I can't wait to try this recipe!
Oh Morgan, this made my day- thank you so much for sharing! 🥰 I’m so happy to hear the Nourish section of the app has been so helpful and that you’re feeling energized and excited to cook! Literally the best compliment we could ever get!! 🥹 Sending my love, and I hope you both love the cookie recipe! 🍪❤️
Sadia if you ever think “nobody wants this recipe”, DON’T THINK THAT!! The way you explain things makes it so easy to follow and your recipes ALWAYS turn out great!
Are you inside my mind? I'm not going to lie, if I can be vulnerable for a sec, there were a few moments while editing this video (and even right before posting it!) where I thought, "Will people really be interested in a cookie recipe like this? Maybe it should’ve just been a blog post, not a full video..." It’s wild how doubt sneaks in sometimes. So thank you for sharing this- it's exactly what I needed to hear today. You’re so appreciated 🥹❤️
@@PickUpLimes Just to piggy back off this commenter... you and the team clearly spent a lot of time in the testing recipe stage for this video and I would honestly watch a full-length video on all that legwork you guys did and more explanation on the science of how the cookies change depending what you use!~ There is an audience for everything =) But especially your calming and well-explained recipes !
The most useful cooking video I’ve seen all decade!! Ok - questions! 1. How much should the brown butter cool down before you add it to the sugar mixture? 2. Which mylk works best? Soy is higher in protein than almond etc hence asking… 3. What’s the recommended time and temperature for fan oven? 4. What happens if I skip baking powder? I can’t wait to make these. Every time I made these they either fluff up like cakes or they’re too hard…. This video is just perfection 🎉
I LOVE THIS STYLE OF COOKING VIDEOS isolating variables to understand their behaviours is soooo cooool and then comparing and contrasting the effects of different combinations to understand synergy.. aaaa SO COOL Sadia, please make more videos like this :D

I really like you explaining why some steps are important👍 i'm always like "hm brown sugar is empty. Who cares i take the other one" I think from now on i will think about it twice😁 Love your videos❤
Came here to say. I made these cookies and they WERE FIRE! You know how some recipes don’t turn out the way the creator’s turned out, well not this one. I used the scale, same butter and yall PERFECTION. This is now my go to recipe
Bookmarked, Liked, Saved. I've been looking forward to this video ever since your Insta stories. I have the utmost faith this is going to be the last chocolate chip cookie recipe I ever need. After all, it's Pick Up Limes.
Perfectly explained! I've been making vegan chocolate cookies for 4 years now and this is exactly how I do it! Great trick with the glass at the end, didn't know about it 🙂
As a novice to baking, knowing the science behind every step makes it so much easier to learn and I get less frustrated when the results are unsatisfactory
Recently I had a STRONG craving for cookie but I am on a tight budget being a uni student, so I decided to bake cookies as I anyways wanted to for a long time. So why researching for a perfect recipe as i had never made cookies ever before, i came across your video. Unfortunately i didnt have any eggs and was left with only 2/3 stick of butter, so i adjusted quantity on your website and made 10 cookies. The whole time me and my girlfriend, we both sat infront of the oven to record a randomly decided time lapse video, it felt cute. Finally when my girlfriend and my roommate tasted the cookie they LOVED IT SO MUCH !! it made my day, i was smiling for whole night. Many many thanks to you ❤
The way you explain everything! I can only imagine how much trials and errors you had to go through for this, but this is such a valuable video and gave such a good inside into baking in general to me! Thank youu
I’ve made this twice. The only difference is I used way less sugar and no white sugar at all; only brown. This is the cookie I buy at bakeries. Now I can make it at home. Absolutely delicious.
I like this format! I am excited to try this recipe. You explained all the tricks to adapt the recipe to our ingredients and teaching techniques not steps. I often struggled with baking recipes because my ingredients were a bit different than other regions.
Hey I made these yesterday for a friend's daughter , I had some of my own twist in this like using a pinch of cinnamon powder . It came out so well . Everyone loved it - just that the baking time at around 150degree Celcius is more than 15 mins for 1 batch (5 pieces ) . It was still soft and moist yet crispy . I think baking time and the amount of dough to make each cookie is kinda personal choice. But the receipe was fantastic and so clean and well constructed . Thank you @Pick Up Limes loved it !!
@PickUpLimes could you please explain a bit more how you browned the vegan butter for this recipe? I was under the impression that vegan butter does not brown since it doesn't contain the protein solids that caramelize in milk butter. I realize that there are some hacks out there, but in your video, it seems like your butter just browned just on its own. I am super excited about this video and recipe, and can't wait to try it! Thanks for your fantastic work, as always! ❤
I would imagine she uses a butter like miyokos cultured vegan butter. I love to use it in dishes where the butter flavor matters while most of the time I get by using the cheaper vegan margarine spreads
With this recipe and the one for the fudgy brownie I sense a very chocolatey Christmas this year. Thank you so much for the recipes and for all the tips coming along with them!

Love Miss Sadia. I probably could listen to anything she wants to talk about so I hope she absolutely does a video of whatever is on her mind. I’m pretty far from vegan but I’ve either made her vegan recipes or adapted her vegan recipes to include the proteins that I like because the recipes have such wonderful flavor profiles.
Hello Sadia. Thank you for this recipe and all the great advice. It makes so much more sense with explanations. I tried your recipe last week: they are very, very good! 😋 But I've come to ask for some extra help. I've always had this problem: the cookies don't spread out during baking. So I end up with dome-shaped cookies. They're still delicious, but they're really thick. I put the oven on convection heat. I'm not sure about the brown sugar. Being French, I don't know exactly what sugar it refers to. So I used brown cane sugar. As for the rest, I followed the recipe to the letter. If anyone has an explanation or a solution, I'd love it! Thanks a lot! 🍪
I have one question about the baking soda and baking powder. Can one replace the other? Or are they both really necessary (I never really understood the difference between the 2). Thank you so much for the recipe, I adore your channel!
Whoa... Cookie recipes are most welcome, kids n adults all love them alike n we don prefer to buy from market so "😜 we accept cookies". And, this clarified butter is our very native Ghee from India.. ❤ we use it extensively.
Thank you for this recipe. I am definitely trying it this week. It looks perfect. The browning of the butter process that you followed is making the butter into clarified butter right? In India we call it Ghee. So if I have ghee then can I directly use that in this recipe?

But I've come to ask for some extra help.
Hands down best cookies I ever made. Sometimes you gotta go decadent and not think about the butter and sugar 😂
Excellent recipe!
Yaaay! Excited to try this out 🍪🍪 Have been waiting for a good choc chip recipe 😍
Just another great video Sadie, great work! definitely going to be baking these yummy cookies 😊
Never clicked so fast!❤ I’ve been waiting for this one!
Thank you for this recipe. I am definitely trying it this week. It looks perfect. The browning of the butter process that you followed is making the butter into clarified butter right? In India we call it Ghee. So if I have ghee then can I directly use that in this recipe?
these are so easy and fun! thank you
