    Excellent video, thank you for putting in the effort to make it, I need to make a custom security door/shutter 50"X30" to fit in front of a ground-level casement window for egress only and this helped a lot in working out how to do it. I live in North America, otherwise, I would hire you to do it.

    I would like to see a video on how to fit a multi-point lock to a master and a slave double front wooden door.

    Just a quick note that this video has been edited a few times since its original posting. In the original video I’ve commented on the handle holes and handle fitting not being done as this door was for a customer and the handle had not been chosen. Hence why this was not done. This has now been removed but if anyone needs any advice on the aforementioned, please just message and I will gladly oblige.

    Helpful video, thanks. What make and model lock did you use?

    You used a 16mm for the faceplate on the first shallow cut. What size did you use for the second deeper cut (where the mechanism slides up and down)?

      Hi Michael
      I’m pretty sure I used a straight fluted 12mm cutter.

    Do you bevel the edge of the door for clearance?

    • @APBourneBespoke
      @APBourneBespoke  3 года назад +1

      Hi Calvin
      I don’t bevel the edge of the door if I’m fitting a multipoint lock, as it may twist the face of the lock and cause problems with the operation. So long as you have a decent margin/gap around the the door you shouldn’t have any problems.

      @@APBourneBespoke thank you! Is it an expensive job to pay someone to fit a lock like this?

    • @APBourneBespoke
      @APBourneBespoke  3 года назад

      Shouldn’t be to expensive. A good carpenter will get one of these fitted in a day. Depends where you are as to the cost of a local carpenter. Anywhere between £100-£200 approximately.
