  • Multi-point locks add serious security to doors. At first glance, they might seem difficult to install, but with the right tools (plunge routers), and the right attitude (patience), these locks aren't too tough to tackle.

I like the locks only on the strike side. I use the automactic self closing bottom of the door weather seal. You route a 3/4 groove 1 inch deep and install the unit. The unit your installing does not allow for tight weather stripe. However for mild climates it might be ok. Nice job on the vid.

rob greene ave took apart their circular saw. Not impressed. Thing was horribly designed. Not sure about their other tools but I would never own their circular saw.

Hi, this looks like a great project and I intend to give it a go. What brand of lock was used in this video?

The plexiglass fence he's using appears to be the Festool Routing Aid OF-FH 2200. The website says it's for Festool OF 1010, OF 1400, and OF 2200 routers. I'm not sure if it fits other routers or not. www.festoolusa.com/accessory/495246---of-fh-2200

An alternative is to get a second Festool 492636 router guide for $82 instead of $348 for the clear one. It can be seen here: festoolownersgroup.com/festool-jigs-tool-enhancements/an-alternative-to-the-plexiglas-template-routing-aid/
