Gen 3 coyote complete bottom end from ford under $3k swap everything from the gen 1 onto the gen 3 bottom end and you got a 1000 hp capable deal for under $3k

100k is just broke in good for them. My 2013 gt is more than enough with a vortech and just 11 pounds boost. Hard to break a gen 1 coyote with good fuel and a decent tune and it likes spinning up to 7300 + with no issues.

No matter how you look at it, as long as that block is good it's a damn good investment for $300
Power washing a motor and not immediately tearing it down, but just putting it up for storage as is, is a great recipe for frozen piston to block rust. But that's just my $0.02.
THere was no where for it to go... why would there be water in the pistons its sealed...
@@Neomustangs there "shouldn't be" but I've seen it happen to numerous other youtubers already. The water finds a way to seap in. Idk though, maybe just put oil down the cylinders for good measure.

I did my first turbo 302 in a fox because you showed us how on this channel, now I'm building a 408 for my fox because of the knowledge gained by this channel. Im.more interested in the terminator x stuff though.

I’ve always had pushrod Mustangs but I got a gen 1 Coyote from a friend. I plan on putting in my 95 GT roller. I’m thinking I could build the motor cheaper than a pushrod motor. Boss intakes are cheap! I’ve been looking for GT intake cams. Those seem to be pricey these days. If you find a place that sells them for a reasonable price can you let us know? Like the channel and I’m a stick shift guy for life!
You have a good starting point. Mustang cams, mustang gen 2 intake, and boss 302/ gen 2 rods and you can make 900 wheel with boost pretty safely on a budget. If you do anything change the rods thats the weak link in the gen 1s.

This is accurate, but with a few caveats. The Gen 2 rods weigh around 30 grams more than Gen 1 rods so the balance could be off. Even with better rods and pistons, Gen 1 blocks are prone to crack cylinders at smedium boost levels. Billet oil pump gears are good insurance for any gen boosted coyote or 4.6. Good luck with the project.

Rods and pistons for a Gen 1. You’ll be limited to 700-maybe 750 max on stock rods and pistons. Btw LUND tune ftw

At a cross road mybself today.
302 put good heads on it for a future 351 so basically buy way bigger heads than i need right now swap in a year or 2.the 351 with good heads.
Or swap on a on3 kit on my motor that the heads are off now that has bad rockers or springs on heads and put say stock heads on it and throw a on3 kit on it and ride it till I'm done with 351 motor.
This is a daily driver say 3 days a week even some trips could be taken in it.
What whould you do ?

Skip the cams. Gen 3 mustang intake. Turbo. E85. Done. It’ll make more than the stock Gen 1 bottom end can make.

Coyote nice it’s a motor that makes some good power man, I have a question for you I have an old school powerdyne BD 11 A kit only thing I’m missing is a crank pulley. Can I use a vortech 6 inch crank, pulley ?basically the same set up is there V1 V2 kits thank you for always answering my questions

@Neomustangs the 6r80 came out same year as coyote in both f150 and mustang so if that is the Trans that came in the vehicle it came out of its a 6r80. That is a stout transmission one of the better modern autos for sure

Wweelll.... You may be opening Pandoras box here. For starters, its not the Mustang Coyote. Its an F150 Coyote, there are differences. Yes, you said Mustang Intake, Mustang cams, and OPG'S. Not quite gonna get you there. Depending on how you build the Coyote, you may not need OPG'S. You might already know that you'll have to swap out the timing cover for the Mustangs timing cover as well. There are tuning differences between the F150 and the Mustang Coyotes. You should know that cause it could factor in with the build. Like you may need to add some sensors, depending on what control pack you use with the Coyote. F150 Coyotes have lower compression than the Mustang Coyotes. Also think about the engine life... F150... what do people do with trucks??? You'll want to check on those connecting rods and make sure they are still good and strong and straight.

@aspenyukon6845 you are full of shit. A coyote is nothing like that and that comes from running huge turbos with lots of lag. Learn a thing or two before blabbing. Yall pushrod guys are something else just cannot give any credit where it's due. It's not that low on tq for its displacement especially it looks low because hp is so much higher this comes from making good power at high rpm. A gen 1 truck motor has 360hp 380 tq stock that is solid for 300 bucks with the ability to do 700 wheel on stock long block. Even without changing to mustang stuff it'll have better tq w the truck parts actually
