      @benjaminwatson7868 shortblock parts.
      There are several budget recipes that include new bearings, 351w rods, 302 used pistons. Can and has been done. If you've got a 351w with heads on it already, it's dumb to not do this in my opinion, unless you're building for efficiency, which it will still gain with the longer stroke. A 387/393w can be done for cheap, but it's the intake $800, head build parts $3000, roller conversion $800+ ect that gets expensive.

    Wow it looks great, with all the extreme hours, miles, abuse on the dyno, street, track, with boost, she damn near
    looks like it was put together this year. With amount of HP you are getting from a SBF single turbo is beyond
    amazing. It really goes to show a awesome build, awesome maintenance, and just strong these Fords are!

    We made 720@8200 with 383 Windsor. It’s been living for 4 years on the street and track. Production block with splayed 4bolt mains on 2,3,4 and a little oil system work. Great engine and I’m building another now but it will be hydraulic roller instead of solid.

      Yes i didnt realize the retainer was that bad until the tear down here. We will be double pinning the camshaft.

    I’m gonna guess it looks fine. I never had an issue with my 410W and it was NA and I was always bouncing it off the rev limiter. Also was a jerk to it and shot it with 75hp dry shot of nitrous without any nitrous tuning in the Holley.

      @@NeomustangsI watched the video. Exactly what I thought. Your cam retainer bolt backed out and chattered on the threads and your dowel broke and your oil pump pickup was messed up. I had a roller block from a 96 van. I also put 48k miles on my motor before I sold it. Could’ve used hone and rings but other than that it was running strong. I’m guessing you’ll be honing and putting new rings in. Are you going to go bigger than 410 or are you going to keep that 4” stroke and 4.040 bore?

      @@RadDadisRad Same engine all new wearables. Heads were brand new upgraded best they could be. Might run a custom cam instead of that one. I dunno we will figure that out after rotating assembly is locked in.

    Main girdle is a must on 351 Windsors making over 600hp. They tend to get a little bearing walk around 700 + hp. That thang looks good.
    I'd polish the crank, new bearings, put it back together and flog on it. It ain't hurt. BTW, what oil you use?

    Man it looks good! Think that variable cam timing was causing your low hp levels 😅. Shoot I’d put it back together if it was my broke butt, lol. Fix the valves of course.

      Just going to redo the bearings, rings and freshen it up. Wont be that much. its been 3.5 years i owe the motor a close look before we beat on it even harder.

    Thanks for showing your tear down. Was curious to see if you had any issues with the block. Do you fill the block with concrete up to the bottom of the freeze out plugs? I have a 351 built the exact same as yours, was worried about pushing 1000hp with it. After seeing yours I have no worries.

      Penn Oil (brad penn) 15/40 with the zinc. Green Oil

    Thanks for your whole breakdown on the strength of the 351w,had a question pertaining to your budget 351w if someone out here can help me out,for the budget 387 build your using a 3.850 stroke crank,why not use the 4.000 crank? Is it because the 302 pistons are too tall to use the 4.000 crank and you would have to new pistons? Any help would be great because I have just bought a 351 to do the budget build but wouldn’t mind spending a little more extra for the 4.000 crank

    so i used to own an 88 gt hatch back I blew my stock motor piston 7 broke the 302 block at a red light black smoke got back to my buddys house done. i did a stock rebuild should have replaced with aftermarket

    Been following this car for a long time now, would love to see it get near an 8 second pass. These Windsor's are tough!
    Do you run the stock pins that came with the pistons or did you upgrade to a thicker wall?
    I am building a 408 Windsor for my dad with diamond pistons and it came with 4130 .155" pins. I am curious to know your opinion on pins given your experience

    If the rotating assembly is zero balanced then why do you have a counter weight in the harmonic balencer?

      Was not the balancer that was used on that engine …. Was only used to rotate

      15/40 brad penn or penn oil with zinc. $100 a case? took 6.5 quarts (i ran a shorty filter)

    Will that oil pan fit a 93 f150 . Another thing is that rotating assembly is made by is it forge also is that carb or fuel injection what boost turbo and waste gate was u runnin

      @@Neomustangs CNC Motorsports sells them. Starting at $2400. I want to turbocharge my next Mustang. Thinking flex fuel setup. We can get E85 from the pump near the airport, but what if I'm somewhere and I can't find it. Needs to run on 93 too.

    How many runs per Oil change?

      Quite a few. I changed it every 3 months. So there was quite a few miles/runs as we raced a LOT this year.

      @@Neomustangs I was changing every 2 runs on the 387, thought the gas was thinning it out, it would start out at 60psi then after a few hits drop to 30psi, pretty sure it was the Rod Bearing going out now,

      My oil was 60 cold, 40 idle/driving normal, 30 when i made a hit. Recovered when oil cooled back up to at least 55.. thats normal dude

      @Neomustangs well we definitely had a Bearing failure on cyl 6, we have the engine back together, little tighter clearances than before but very limited part selection
