  • Join me on the BAA section at Eardington Brook, south of Bridgnorth for an afternoon session in tough low and clear conditions!
If you've enjoyed the video and want to help support me with creating future videos - You can Buy Me a Coffee here - buymeacoffee.c...
The initial part of the session was under cloudy skies however these soon passed and it became very bright and warm not helping the already tough fishing conditions. Before the fishing starts - I’ll show you the parking and access for this stretch off the B4555 Highley Road 4-5 miles south of Bridgnorth. I'll also show you a selection of the pegs if you’ve not been to Quatford before and an overview of the layout of the stretch.
Once fishing - See how I approach the session and be rewarded with a really lovely Torpedo from the Severn.
The equipment & bait I used is as follows -
Rods - Korum 1.75lb TC Barbel Rods
    Reels - Shimano ST4000 Baitrunners
    Line - ESP Syncro 12lb
Rigs - Running rig with 8lb flouro hooklength
Hook - Size 8 wide gape
Bait - CKO 14mm pellets and Boosted Cocoons from Vortex Baits.
Ground bait - CKO flavour from Vortex Baits with lots of hemp.
Hopefully you enjoy the video and the overview of Eardington Brook - It's well worth a visit if you have a BAA (Birmingham Anglers Association) card..
    Thanks for watching.

Another polished video as usual Rob. The What 3 Words addition is a really great idea, as is the intro bit on the walk to the swims etc. Well done on managing to wangle out a nice 8lb-er in those conditions too.....

I visited this fishery last week Rob for a recce on a very drizzly day as you say Slippery!! .Well done on the barbel I followed your earlier advice and ended up at BAA Quatford stretch for a days angling. Always interested in the rigs you show.

I was on the left stretch with my brother earlier this week, it must have been at the time you were there as I recognised the canoeists and paddle boarder floating by, the last time I fished the beach on the bend I lost a lot of tackle on the very snaggy bottom, so be aware, you may need a few feeders and leads! Great video, keep them coming👍

is it advisable to put any weight on the hook length to hold it down on the river bed any better ??? 🤔🤔

    • @RobsAngling
      @RobsAngling  2 месяца назад

Hi John, no it’s not necessary for a river rig. My preference is a stiff fluorocarbon which will kick away from your feeder and is heavy enough to sit nicely on the bottom without being seen 👍
