John Peel very much missed but never forgotten.
Enola Gay reverberates in my head ever since I fought in the Falklands War and the things I did 🇬🇧
Quality all the way. Enola Gay stands out as my favourite track.
Yeah OMD, these guys were something special back then... Still love their music
So beautiful.
👽huhu😊
Orchestral manoeuvres in the dark were never scared of experimentation in their music and lyrically speaking many songs have more than stood in the test of time, theorty relativity and space.
I got my own radio for my Birthday (the week before) its funny I remember looking forward to listening to XTC as well !!!
Two great bands👍
Very cool. Thanx a lot...
this live version of Enola Gay is perfect, OMD firing on all cylinders
It’s an unfinished version
I guess your right
Brilliant!
I REALLY Like this version of Motion And Heart!!!!!!
Yes! I like it too! It is sounded like Super Mario World water stages!
Love the jazz at the start.
These recordings are fantastic and the quality is unbelievable for the vintage. Can I ask did you record onto reel-to-reel from the radio or have you some connection to the original production. You have truly provided a service and a wonderful shot of nostalgia. Thank you!!!! I can remember that Radio 1 only went to FM at 10pm when John Peel was on.
This particular recording...as are many of mine...is edited from a file on the John Peel Wiki...radio to hq cassette I believe
Great post mate
Nice vintage tunes ...
Forgot how great they were
Not a bad version of Enola Gay .. But the Lyrics are Mixed up .. Vocals very good .. The photo of them looking really young , fresh faced from left to right Mike Douglas ( I think ) Andy McCluskey , Paul Humphreys & Mal Holmes
Art! Class! Genious!
穴あきジャケットよかったね
Why'd he say formerly Orchestral manoeuvres in the dark?.
The least cool of that wave of synth bands.
Not really, that goes to Metallica.
