I would like to thank you, Mr. Danny... Thanks to your videos, I was able to open a car maintenance workshop in Iraq. Thank you from the bottom of my heart... Please share a maintenance video with us every day, as we learn a lot from you.
Top job mate the amount of people that don't realise you have to cycle the key if you have a problem like this I've seen it a lot of time and garages people are chasing problems when all they have to do with cycle the key great diagnosis mate sorted!!!
I will say it is one of the best video on diagnosis of this kinda problem. I have seen people just throwing parts on the name of diagnosis, but my friend you do know clearly what actually is going inside.... Keep it up buddy...
I think Dan seems to have quality viewers. Some times a huge amount of viewers just brings more problemsand unpaid work. In saying that dan is a great person and technician.
Here, when measuring the sensor, leave the control wires connected at all times, as they are insulated. Don't waste time with puncturing and breaking the insulation. My friend, you are a doctor for all car brands. Thanks for learning me and people .
This is such a great channel. And Dan reads all the comments and stays up late to answer them. Let’s enjoy that while we can. When he has 100,000 subs he won’t b able to. But he will remember his first subscribers😄
Another great video and great tip about disconnecting and recycling the key. These computer shutdowns can really be a pain. Fuel injector shutdowns for misfires as an example.
I still say that Beamers AUDIS are terribly over engineered, and very complicated to diagnose. Hats off to you Sir for having the patience, and the knowledge to perceive to the end.
Diagnose Dan you’re awesome! I wish we didn’t live so far apart so I could meet you! I am a tech on copiers and printers and I use a lot of the same methods you use to diagnose the machines I work on. Keep up the good work!
interesting see the computer shuts the 5v reference when detects fault , would of confused me that one . Will have to think more about cycling key/clearing codes on these sort of faults as could waste hours and parts if over looked it . Danny fixed it again lol . Good see family involved and having fun at work ...
Hello again Dan, Holland you say! Your English is very good my friend, I rate up there with Keith, Eric O and Ivan. I like the way diagnose.. (Short and sweet) and your funny too, what more can we ask for?
I Start to like All of your videos, really good staff and now i`m so dissapoint that did`n know about your chanel before few years,It make my day easyer !! But now i start to worry about all problems who leave Holland forever, and were they go now ...
Yet another great video that I personally find very useful. I own a high mileage F11 520d and its off-side rear air suspension is constantly altering between being fine and normal and lowering itself mostly (and luckily) when the car is stationary. The air suspension is able to maintain its level for many days when "in a good mood" without assistance from the air compressor, so I do not think that the rubber balloon or valve, etc. is at fault. There may as well just be a shorted wire there. The point I'm making here is that I always wondered about the workings of such systems (i.e. where the angle/level height sensor could be). I suspect that such faults are often addressed or fixed by replacing modules/parts that are otherwise fully functional. Also, the fault would soon reappear... Many thanks again for clarifying the issue for us.
Barna Soós check for a leaking air spring! They often fail on this model. There are very small leaks and they are hard to find. As the airspring changes position it can temporarely seal it self. Good Luck!
DiagnoseDan Many thanks DiagnoseDan for that suggestion. I would more than happily check the airspring for leaks but unfortunately don't have access to a garage or a proper lift. I have seen here on RUclips another chap check for leaks with a spray of soapy water.
You answered my questions.. I had replaced air strut and the air pump... And it was doing great till the other day and the front dropped.. the pump will not come on even when I turn it off and back on..
@@Thokid yes it needs to be calibrated .. it will lift up in default mode... But it's not a great idea to drive like this. It need an alignment and calibration at the dealership.. unless you want to buy and $800 VAG scan tool or software

Thank you and hope you all the best.

I have a 2012 Audi a 8L. I replaced a leaking right front strut as well as replacing the negative battery cable in connector in the trunk. The suspension will operate for about 10 or 15 minutes and then the yellow light will come on and disable the suspension system. I have also noticed that if I am at idle when I first get in the car and start it if I sit for a few minutes without moving the light can come on then as well. I have raise the car to the lift mode and then put it in Jack mode and there is no decrease in height was left overnight. I do notice a difference in the amount of height at the different wheels however. Nobody in my area seems to be able to diagnose what is wrong with my car. Driving around town I have no issues typically. If I get it on the highway usually after about 10 minutes the light will come on and disable this is suspension. I don’t know what to do with this car as I have had a couple people look at it to no avail. It’s driving me crazy and making me want to get rid of the car. Any ideas? Thank you so much for your time.

I have the next fault: 01768 sensor for vehicle leveling right- voltage supply. Audi A6C6. Can u tell me your opinion?
HI, Dan i been follow you, you make great knowledge videos, where do you live?
Just got an '08 A8 and noticed the front passenger suspension will drop if the car isn't on. But when the car is on suspension is fine. Could the sensor be the problem?
Hello, I have one question. Is it possible my rear side sensor to not allowed the air suspension to go lower, because the rear side is more lifted than the front and what is the price of the sensor now? Thank you a lot.
Jordan Djalazov It is possible but you can diagnose the sensor like in the video.
Succes!
I do not remember the price.
Hello, Do you know why an audi a8 d3 2004 4.0tdi the rear side of the car is higher then the front and I mean almost twice the size of the front?
Soufl3x you can ajust the ride hight with a scantool.
so it is possible the problem to be not in the air suspension and can be fix without replacing the old one with a new air suspension?
Soufl3x It is possible if there are no faults
the car in the rear side is not going down or up(is already in the maximum high probably it can be) while using the control panel in the car settings. The car is not on the ground(I mean there are no problems in the rear air suspension and thats it on the left and right rear side). it can be a sensor or something because you can actually see the air suspension and you can tell that it is probably fine probably the air cant be released and its stays all the time high in the rear side.
There are probably 20 cm from the wheel and the fender
The controller is smart enough to put a Tristate condition on the PCM line to protect itself.
😊
this sensor is same as the sensor for xenon light? if the sensor for xenon light is defect give same trouble codes for suspension ? pleace reaction for this question , thank you
