Do whatever you want to do to be successful and happy in life! It is a lifelong career and if it appeals to you then do it!!! Yes, pay is not amazing but you do have great hours, winter break, 3 months of summer, and so on! Plus you are not tied down to a desk all day and get to have fun and inspire! Find a school that has a great teaching program, but also make sure it is not crazy expensive so you can be financially responsible and not start off your career with huge debt! Good luck!!!
Teachers get paid like $27 or more a hour at least where I live? Right now I make $25-$35/hr being a bartender but I hate it. $27/hr is definitely livable lol ! I’m going to college to be a teacher even though I make a lot of money right now but teaching is what I actually wanna do forever not bartending
I had a male English teacher my junior year that dressed up when we were reading the book The Great Gatsby. He also had tons of props around his room. I was always so excited to go to his class!

Also, I'm a librarian and it'd be great for young people to see that it is a career option when you're young! You don't have to be 50+! I'm 25 and so many people are shocked when I tell them what I do.
