The Arena settings guide is DONE! Now its time to get into the specifics, so expect me to look into detailed testing of specific settings in the near future! If there's any setting you'd like me to deep dive, leave it here and I'll take a look. Thank you all so very much for watching and I am going to sleep now 🙏 Love you all!
I can’t believe the only thing they linked on release were the game settings and keybinds, the ONLY parts that would make sense to be separated given the nature of the two games.
@@Oda_1582 They should definitely let us decide- you have no idea how annoying it was to have keybinds constantly being reset every single time I switched games :(
@@klemintime1452 understandable ! personnally i don't have any difference between arena and EFT, what keybind do you have between them that is different ? i'm curious
@@Oda_1582 My vaulting was being switched to auto, my radio keybind kept being reset, and Auto RAM Cleaner kept getting disabled every single time I switched back and forth. No other graphics settings were being affected but, of course, if I changed them to test in Arena, they were changed in regular Tarkov unless I switched them back beforehand.
I may make a revised video on it as I'd like to present it a bit better, but I did make a video on it! You can find it here: ruclips.net/video/ZbsYc6hwYdo/видео.html
I remember you making videos about Nvidia settings, do you think that it would be possible to have a source or make a video for AMD users? keep up the great content i really enjoy everything you make!
I'd love to, but I'd have to buy an AMD card at least to make it as I'd want to verify everything I was saying. Being a college student, funds are a wee bit tight. Hopefully, once I get some breathing room I can make an AMD system to test some of these things on, but I gotta wait to get more money first.
That is *sort* of a Tarkov thing, but you can help reduce it with brightness and Clarity in PostFX. I would recommend keeping saturation on the lighter side though, as that can make every color more "deep", including some darker ones.
Hey Klem, appreciate the video. Just a question though, I'm running a 12700kf + 4070 on 1080p. I'm always at 11gb VRAM yet my GPU usage on afterburner is only 40-50%, while CPU usage is around 30-40%. What should I do to increase the usage rate on both so I can push more frames?
So long story short, you're CPU-bound, and pushing the usage up won't necessarily grant you more frames. The main reason people think it does is that when you crank settings and get to 100% GPU usage, that GPU bottleneck can commonly *feel* smoother (as long as you don't go overboard, and also none of those settings make your CPU bottleneck worse). I'd just check out my CPU-bound settings so you can see the effect of some settings on that performance and work around that. I know that's not the answer most hope for but its your best shot at some gain.
Usually if it’s a cpu bottleneck your gpu won’t reach 100% in task manager, doesn’t always mean your cpu will be maxed, but could. That usually causes noticeable stuttering. I’m guessing you have an 8 core+ older cpu if your usage is that low? Ik amd/ryzen cpus never really hit 100% in windows but it doesn’t show it correctly, intel doesn’t have this issue afaik
@@opticalsalt2306 just asking for the sake of asking, i already know where my bottleneck is in my system (VRAM) but want to be able to more effectively point out to friends "you're being bottlenecked by x because y, you can fix it by doing z"
@@xzeuii As long as your are staying at 97-100% GPU usage in most scenarios, you are GPU bound. Its when that drops below that you hit a CPU bind. (VRAM is a sort of separate issue that doesn't affect GPU usage % necessarily, but causes stutters as you know)

Love you all!
Thank you so much. Tarkov is one of those game that I am never able to get good performance on unless I change a lot of settings.
Glad I could help! I know its likely not much performance boost, but hopefully this helped you get a better idea of things and tweak it as you like.
The settings being linked is driving me nuts. I can’t believe they haven’t patched this yet.
I really think it should at least have a toggle to link it or not as it made testing really suck if I launched Tarkov in between.
Klemintime crankin these videos bro. Keep on the grind 💪

well i guess they should let us decide if we want it linked or not because personally i'm glad it does :')

BRO FIXED MY GAME WENT FROM A WHOPPING 60 FPS TO 110 THANKS!!!!
Ayy you're doing well. Thanks for a nice vid :)
Great vid. It would be interesting to see your program settings for tarkov/arena on the nvidia control panel.

MY PERFORMANCE AND QUALITY WERE BOTH BETTER BEFORE I MESSED WITH THIS? LOLZ
What is your performance overlay?
BABE! PLEASE COME BACK TO BED!
CANT HONEY, KLEMINTIME JUST POSTED THE OPTIMIZED Tarkov Arena 0.14 Settings Guide

Lmfao this is amazing
only My Radio keybind keeps reseting very annoying.
settings you should change for ARENA: all of them here r my presets :D
yo man, im having isseus with dark areas, i cant make out any detail in the dark inky blackness. Any ideas?

Prepare to play this game for another 2000 hours- and yes lol
wouldn't 100% GPU but less than 30% CPU be a CPU bottleneck instead of GPU?
