A tip for you, try to make a custom resolution like 2560x1439 in your nvidia control panel, idk why playing with this make the game 10x more smooth in my end... it's been a thing since alpha and i don't think bsg work on it to fix.
Also just to note borderless is running better for me compared to fullscreen - Feels a lot smoother when flicking the mouse around and its the same fps
1. Ram cleaner and Physical cores does not work but only for the first raid you play. After that it stops. You have to close the game out and reopen it after each raid. It’s been this way for 2-3 wipes now. Rengwar done a video on it 2-3 wipes ago. Recommend using ISLC intelligent standby list Cleaner with Process lasso to manage ya cores. 2. Using Vsync unlocks the FPS cap of 144 fps. 3. Haven’t used mip streaming as I’ve heard it causes more issues than it helps.
1. I'll try to test what you mentioned on stream tonight as I've noticed at least ARC continuing to work on my end. Only Use Physical Cores is something I have yet to ensure, and that's why I recommend using Process Lasso to force that if that setting doesn't work correctly (it wouldn't be the first time). 2. Vsync has to be combined with it being disabled in NVCP, correct? 3. MIP Streaming is definitely... tricky. I should probably make a full revisit video soon enough so more people can learn about how it's working this wipe.
Great Video. I am surprised you did not talk about NVIDIA Control Panel and the settings in there as well. Do you think they do not making much of a difference overall?

Hello there! Thanks for your voice and your clear yet precise approach. I'm pretty sure you're gonna get big! I have been trying to figure out an upgrade path for my rig to better enjoy EFT .14, but the farther I get, the more questions I have. I've been using MSI Afterburner and Rivatuner too, but I stumbled upon posts that claimed that the numbers shown for VRAM are actually showing allocated memory, not dedicated. As far as I know, it's not possible to monitor this using Afterburner because of BattleEye, but supposedly, EFT's fps 3 mode shows this. The thing is I'm not sure I trust what I see there, because that would indicate my meager 6GB VRAM is more than enough to handle EFT. I'd like to know your take on this. Have you ever used fps 3? Would you trust those numbers? Is my interpretation bad? Thanks in advance Klem!
I appreciate you tickling the aspect ratio shenanigans in this. Personally, if you need to cheese your ratio to be able to hit a target, you're already admitting you need a handicap vs a normal opponent, and the attitudes of most of those "pro" guys when they lose any fights basically screams the same issues.
I honestly prefer to have my settings all cranked up to max (not view distance or lod tho) and having all the bottom options turned on aswell, while leaving post fx off. Pairing it with dlss set to quality just for extra fps and it looks uber cinematic for me. Personally I feel like dlss looks smoother and cleaner than taa does even if its somewhat blurrer still. And the insane visuals make up for that as well so I cannot complain. I honestly recommend you do this at least for a scav run at one point or something klemintime just to gaze at what I see! XD
One of the issues i'm having with this patch is that i'm getting these micro stutters that cut my sound for like a second, if i use any scope with magnification it will give me more stutters on top of the double render issue the game has with scopes, my settings had no issues last patch, and i even got a brand new M2 drive, i've tried many settings but nothing so far, my PC specs are: GPU: RTX 3070 TI FE 8GB (updated to the last version) CPU: AMD RYZEN 7 5700G RAM: 2 sticks of 16 gb each 3600 mhz with XMP profile on Disk: Kingston M.2 drive 1TB gen 4 (brand new) Windows 10 updated to the last version and as a side note, this Stutters are only happening with tarkov, i play War thunder, fallout 76, and many other games with no issues.
Thank you for the complete explanation of everything. I prefer this rather than "just use this" videos that I'm used to. Do you think Streets might be playable this Wipe for 16gb RAM? I was able to play all the maps but Streets. I have a Ryzen 5 3600 and a RTX 2060 (I know...quite old PC).
Thats gonna be really rough on streets, even with low textures. You simply do not have enough system memory, and may have to resort to something like the page file tweak BSg suggested forever ago to ensure that your system doesn't run out of memory.
Funny how he shows how different settings looks like and all of them looks better (here, on utube) than in my game :) I wish to have FRS 1.0 looking like that and have 60 fps stable :( It is also cool that you can compact this video into one phrase "there are some settings in the game, I will tell you what they do, but you have to test them yourself" :D Brilliant job! So basically bait title ;)
I'm glad you enjoyed it! I know the title is a little clickbaity, but sometimes you gotta get the audience's attention to tell them a truth they weren't expecting :)
Open any video about settings from up to 3, maybe even 4 years ago@@klemintime1452 . Same stuff. And most ppl will see that, so wasting their time they wont appreciate. On the other hand you had 1 or 2 "confirmed" info about 1 or 2 settings, so you could do alooot shorter video with that, and a sumamry like "nothing changed, also you have to test stuff yourself either way" - would be alot better. Just a suggestion, do as you wish.
I didn''t want to make the video *too* long. I do have a video discussing what settings affect CPU-bound cases, though- its linked in the description if you want to check that out.
I have a 4090 and 5800x3d at 1440p. No matter what settings I change it's a little random how the game will respond and you likely still be within two 2 or 3 from lowest to highest of any setting. I also think you can see a slight benefit to super sampling in this game which is okay if your resolution and GPU mismatch this much in a highly CPU bound game but it does currently bug out the hide out. Dropping down to a 11GB 2080ti it super sampling caused noticeable framerate drops. And keep in mind (especially if you are a streamer) Nikita hates you turning down the settings and will have scavs one shot you more if you do. 😏
This might seem dumb, guys, but, my bios for reason was clocking my 3600mhz ram at 2120mhz. I fixed it and literally doubled my fps. TL;DR check you RAM clock speed and use xmp in bios to fix it if its set slower than it's made to be.
Excellent video! One question how do you unlock refresh rate now? I remember it being a problem before where it was stuck at 60hz even if windows settings was set to 144hz or whatever. Thanks.

A tip for you, try to make a custom resolution like 2560x1439 in your nvidia control panel, idk why playing with this make the game 10x more smooth in my end... it's been a thing since alpha and i don't think bsg work on it to fix.
It balances the load well
That's still a thing? I'll try that thanks
if am playing full hd, i need to set 1920x1079 right?
@@Sucharek22 correct
@@viclamota only in nvidia control panel resolution? or i need to set it in game confing files too?
most underrated tarkov youtuber.
Garand thumbs first born helps me with my settings once more
Thank you for this guide and and overload of information!
I waitet for this Video since the wipe Thank u bruv
Also just to note borderless is running better for me compared to fullscreen - Feels a lot smoother when flicking the mouse around and its the same fps
? makes no logic , fullscreen is the way to go i huess you dont notice any differences cause you monitor or slow pc
5:20 the 16:10 aspect ratio is a nice way to stretch it out a bit but not crazy.
I own the game since 2019 and just found out because of you that vsync will unlock framerate in the menus :D
thanks for the tip Mike Rowe
LMAO haven't got that one before; thank YOU for watching dude :)
More videos regarding performance need to be like this. Thanks for all the good info
im pretty sure in 99% of every other tarkov guide video you will see the exact same settings
Definitive guide. Thanks!
SSR ultra gang...it isn’t pretty all the time but when it hits it’s glorious
thank you for explaining the functions and where it all applies
My pleasure :D
Great video and great explanations! Its much appreciated
Happy to know reflex is fixed cause I gave up on spamming offline raids to check my settings a while ago
I spam them for you lmao
11:05 - just a note, if you want to run Anti-Aliasing off, you should turn off all sharpness settings, or have them to a very low amount.
Good call as sharpness will just highlight the jagged-ness of the image.
Just the video I needed, thanks bub
Glad I could help man! :)
Great Video. I am surprised you did not talk about NVIDIA Control Panel and the settings in there as well. Do you think they do not making much of a difference overall?
I haven't been able to see too much of a difference on my end with most settings, but I need to do a thorough retest. For now, I explained all of the settings in this video: ruclips.net/video/ZbsYc6hwYdo/видео.html
The old texture streaming was way better. I miss it. Had so much fps back then
Thanks for the awesome vid and the time stamps
Would love to see a guide for the Nvidia Driver settings especially for tarkov as a Programm ❤
I have a whole guide on the Nvidia Control Panel that you can see here! ruclips.net/video/ZbsYc6hwYdo/видео.html

We style on them a little bit
@4:15 correction on this,,, FOV can affect performance. And quite a bit if you have lower vram or slower GPU in general

Thanks for your work as always ❤❤
Thanks in advance Klem!
mip streaming still worth it on streets sometimes because it gets rid of a lot of the stutters, has a ton of bugs this wipe but
to show shadow quality you could go factory as its constant levels of light
I appreciate you tickling the aspect ratio shenanigans in this. Personally, if you need to cheese your ratio to be able to hit a target, you're already admitting you need a handicap vs a normal opponent, and the attitudes of most of those "pro" guys when they lose any fights basically screams the same issues.
That's exactly what I was thinking, but don't tell anyone or else they'll get pissy xD
Great video!
XD
Thanks you. Very well done video.
if you feel like taa is too blurry at any setting, try off at a 0.3 sharpness in game, i like my jagged edges though
Very good video thank you for the information 👍
Thx bro just subbed 👍🏼
What’s the program you use to monitor your performance?
MSI Afterburner! There's a bunch of guides on YT about it and its fairly easy to setup.
If I play in Borderless, what are the best property settings? Like enabling full-screen optimizations, etc
Thank you for explaining this all to my monke tarkov brain😂
One of the issues i'm having with this patch is that i'm getting these micro stutters that cut my sound for like a second, if i use any scope with magnification it will give me more stutters on top of the double render issue the game has with scopes, my settings had no issues last patch, and i even got a brand new M2 drive, i've tried many settings but nothing so far, my PC specs are:
GPU: RTX 3070 TI FE 8GB (updated to the last version)
CPU: AMD RYZEN 7 5700G
RAM: 2 sticks of 16 gb each 3600 mhz with XMP profile on
Disk: Kingston M.2 drive 1TB gen 4 (brand new)
Windows 10 updated to the last version
and as a side note, this Stutters are only happening with tarkov, i play War thunder, fallout 76, and many other games with no issues.
i had on+boost for the start of the wipe and it absolutely trashed my frames, ill try it on just "on" and test it out ty
Thank you for answer! A bit sad but maybe I should retire my computer already and get something new...cheers mate@@klemintime1452
Perfect video🎉
Funny how he shows how different settings looks like and all of them looks better (here, on utube) than in my game :) I wish to have FRS 1.0 looking like that and have 60 fps stable :(
It is also cool that you can compact this video into one phrase "there are some settings in the game, I will tell you what they do, but you have to test them yourself" :D Brilliant job!
Great video, thanks! Dropped a sub
I wish you would've talked a bit more about CPU bound cases
I didn''t want to make the video *too* long. I do have a video discussing what settings affect CPU-bound cases, though- its linked in the description if you want to check that out.
Yeah CPU bound was what I was looking for too. My 1060 6gb card does fine, but my CPU is not cutting it. @@klemintime1452
Solid video! Now show me the best settings for fixing desync and shitty netcode :D
Or D.O.C.P. if you have an AMD motherboard
@127twilson it's a-xmp on my amd board
Off rip I finally know why my game freezes for so long when it hit escape the first time
Fantastic video good sir
Thank you very useful for me
Thanks. This helpful. I try to go through my settings every wipe.
the fight in the beginning tho
Excellent video! One question how do you unlock refresh rate now? I remember it being a problem before where it was stuck at 60hz even if windows settings was set to 144hz or whatever. Thanks.
For me, all that was needed was to enable Nvidia Reflex. If you are on AMD though, I believe there is a trick in the AMD panel but I am not sure.
@@klemintime1452 I have an Nvidia GPU where is this setting in game or in nvidia control panel?
Perfect vid dude, with no bullshit like "double ur fps"!! Subscribed. Nice work and explanations.
Thank you man, appreciate it a lot 💙
