- A short session catching small but scrappy Bass on surface lures. Summer fishing at it's best.
Keep getting asked for a link to the Owner lure I use in this video, so here it is:

That's our summer cursed, dogs, pout and tings only from now on!! Good work matey🎣🎣🎣
🤣🤣🤣 Back to the Z Listers then..
Hey I’ve met before few times in your shop me my brother dad we’re the regular ones that come from Peterborough for a week or so mostly every August, we’ve fishing this same spot only got smaller bass though, lovely video.
Wow!! Beautiful place, stunning fish!!
Thank you. We live in a beautiful part of the world 😀
Ever tried down by the haven the rocks left of the chain ferry I caught a nice 5lber not long ago off there it’s worth a shot
That's a lovely fish mate, well done. Yes, that's a popular spot for the bass too.
Just adore Mudeford ❤️. Nice bass. Had some success there in past fishing with Sidewinders 😉
Me too, on Bacon .
Bacon is a popular bait off the Quay! As crazy as that sounds! 😆
@@christchurchanglingcentre5428 The amount that goes in there from the crabbers makes it a staple for the bass and mullet , ive caught at Swanage and Weymouth with it too 👍
I don't blame them. If I knew somewhere to get free bacon, I'd be there all the time 😅😅
Great Bass fishing!!! What lure are you using? Thanks
What part of the harbour was you fishing fella?
Wonder if seekers would work well there . Great place to fish
They do, but surface lures avoid the weed!
every year i go to the beach hut here just next to this spot! always fish here but cant catch anything, so please could i ask what time of tide it was, colour of line and the lure you use. thanks
My favourite time is slack top of tide just on dusk. I love using surface lures here, lots of fun. My favourite being the Owner Gobo.
too much fun :)
Sure was matey!
Awesome session and wonderful spot. I wish your videos were more frequent.
I wish my fishing sessions were more frequent! lol
But you're right, I must try and do more this year.
Christchurch Angling Centre . Never enough time running your own business but these relaxed sessions ( also thinking of last years Mullet video) are inspiring for all levels of angling. Probably could be subsidised by Dorset Tourism Board lol...
Hey there. I am new to fishing. On tight budget so got Shakespeare beta telescopic rod. What line lbs should I buy for mullet and mackerel. I’ll order from your website once I know :-)) thanks 😊
I would suggest a decent quality 12lb monofilament, Berkeley perhaps. It's light enough to cast, strong enough to handle anything you're likely to catch, relatively cheap and forgiving too. Find yourself a small selection of plastic topwater lures, and basic metal lures. With a bit of luck, you'll find a decent bass as well.
hey! I also heard someone say about your shop. Im definitely going to go but dont know the name what is it called?
Christchurch Angling Centre
Where is that place. Looks beautiful?
Mudeford key
Locals only bro

Was that dusk or dawn fishing
Kevin Farwell dusk, Mudeford quay is beautiful on summer evenings. 👍
@@hiltingburygardenservices what type of lure were you using and weight and size. I work 5 mins from there and thinking of giving it a go after work, I'm guessing you fish the tide in and hopefully be ok to fish from the key side.
@@kevinfarwell1059 I mostly use the Super Holographic 4", and the 6" mackerel 'fire tail' lures. To be honest they're good for pollock as well at the right mark. Yes I fish 2 hrs up to high water, from the quay is also fine. Darren
@@hiltingburygardenservices Thanks Darren much appreciated, I will be looking to give a go there shortly.
A very late School bass caught at Mudeford about an hour ago.
Well done mate.
what rod and reel is that
My rod was a Savage XLNT Drop Shot with a Shimano 2500 spinning reel.
