Cracking flick, love bream fishing down Chesil, they like smashing my rigs too.... that's why I have a very good friend who enjoys building loads of rig bodies for me 😘😘😘
Good to see you are enthusiastically still trying to get the hang of this fishing lark, don’t give up old chap! Another informative video that was a pleasure to watch
I've experienced nothing but friendly helpful staff at Christchurch angling centre...they seriously won't mind putting you on the fish. Great session Tom.
Hi Tom, another superb video. I was so inspired that I decided to go and fish the shingle bank a couple of days later. Unfortunately it was blowing strongly so getting any casting distance was almost impossible and the surface weed was horrendous so after an abortive couple of hours I admitted defeat. So having offered my excuses for failure I probably have to face the fact that I am probably a crap angler! I’m sure that under the same conditions Tom would have managed to winkle out a few fish.
@christchurchanglingcentre5428 - i have noticed on all of your fishing videos you have your rods parallel to the shore. any reason you do this? is it to be able to have your bait tray handier or something else?
There's a few reasons I do this. It actually gives better bite detection than face on. It helps keep your back to the wind, and at night, it means my headlight isn't shining on the water.
@@FishyTom worked well.. much more comfortable and it does help with bite detection. clearly in strong winds the rods/ tripod will have to go back to wind. However... nothing on my "big" ray baits but on my size 4 hook flapper on a bass rod i got a huge slack liner and got dragged down the beach by a lovely SE Ray! result 🙂
Yes, free parking too which is a bonus! You can park down New Lane, it does get busy but there's plenty of room. Here's a pin to follow: goo.gl/maps/Lzh2pKUcx3kend7r8
@@FishyTom well there’s a thing so far this year I’ve had a heart attack and pneumonia which I’m still recovering from so not been too good but getting back to it now fingers crossed - lost just over 3 stone and counting, needs must lol
So I had to Google mowong! lol Yeah I can definitely see some similarities there. We call this species a black bream (Spondyliosoma cantharus) here in the Uk. We get a few others like gilthead bream, couch's bream, red bream etc, but the black is the most common. Looks like the mowong go quite large? The record for a black bream is about 6lb 8oz I think, but even a fish of 2lb is considered a good catch.
@@FishyTom lol 😂 our bream are called oyster crushers all yays find shells in gut biggest I got was 512mm black bream or pikey bream found here in northern Australia another is yellow FIN bream or silver bream and tarwine bream all have peg teeth and can crushers oyster s with ease.
They sound a bit like our gilthead bream (Sparus aurata). They have awesome crushing teeth and love munching through mussels. One of my all time favourite fish.
@@FishyTom that sounds like a true bream other we talked about like our dart in open water or black drummer or another is blubber lip bream is nick name but it is mowong family lol 😂 still a nice fish to eat dart have a very sweet flesh other names are mother inlaw fish 🐠 some say there pure crap to eat but a very power sport fish to play with.
Brilliant watch , well done 👏🏼
Very enjoyable, hopefully I’ll be there soon also fishing 🎣 😊

I try my best.
What a session mate, just doesn’t get much better than that like you said sunshine and Bream ... Thanks mate you take care 👍🎣🎣
Thanks mate. I really did enjoy it! Hopefully get a couple more sessions in on the bream before too long.
Hi tom you ok, A nice cannee session well done pal. Some nice ones amongst them. All the best from GRIMSBY.
Hey mate. All good down here, hope fishing is good in Grimsby mate! All the best.
Well done on that breams Tom 👍 tight lines bud 🎣👊💪

Great fishing young man ❤
Thank you matey. Keep up the "young" comments, you'll go far in life. 😘
A joy to watch ,thanks .
@martinarpino thank you. Glad you enjoyed it.
Perfect timing 😂
Half an hour with young Thomas, on the shingle bank. What a lovely looking day.
Young??? You are now officially my favourite person, thank you.
@@FishyTom😂
Studland is also good for bream, though it does get busy because it’s a nice sandy beach.

Yes, love Studland too, but as you say, a busy beach. Will head that way once the summer hols are over.
Another good video Tom great to show the bait presentation !! these demos really help us anglers that have a lot to learn keep em coming mate
Thanks John. Really appreciate the positive feedback 😁
Great fishing as always and info !!🎣🐟
Thanks mate, it was a fun session for sure.

Not necessarily. It is a venue that is so often ruined by the weed. You just got unlucky on the day. Keep trying mate.
Sorry for the noddy question but I see yo use an orange mainline in lost of your videos. Is that a mono or braided line please?
Mono mate. Always mono. Try and avoid using braid for beachcasting. Spinning and boat only.
That’s what fishing is all about, what a session. You could always have used one of the bream for bait 😂😂🐟🎣
Ha! I hadn't thought of that! I'd have still caught a bream I reckon!
Me too 🎣🐟
Quality video Tom! Pretty sure Jay Z famously once said “I got 99 problems but a bream ain’t one” 🤷🏼♂️
🤣🤣🤣 ah yes, I remember that line well.
Hi where did you get your boonie from mate also great bream session 👍
It's an old hat I've had for about 12 years I think! Can't remember where it came from, sorry!

Fantastic mate, well done. I'm glad you tried the change of angle and saw the benefits too.
What's the black rod?
That's my Veret Eclisseo 4.4. Sadly discontinued now.
Any carpark near please ?

Yes it’s sort of a compliment
Ha ha! You're too kind matey. Hope you're keeping well.
