    Imagine perpetuating hatred towards the most vulnerable in society. I used to like this programme but it's getting ridiculous. All this does is cause more division and hatred and when it boils over and people get hurt you'll then report it outraged and shocked like you haven't sat there time after time throwing kindling on the fire.

    Its always mental health they have a go at because you can't see it. Its not easy to get a mental health diagnosis.

      @jamiepr1991None. It's extremely hard to pass a wca assessment based on mental health alone.

      I used to believe that until I found so many mental health sick notes and sickness benefits being submitted to work.

      When you try to define a mental health condition it's not a physical injury like a broken bone. There is a spectrum of injuries that are temporary or chronic conditions.
      The issue with mental health is that it's very ambiguous and relies on truth from the patient to make truthful statements about how they are feeling. With mental health, the depression you started with can start being a temporary moment in life and then once you are on welfare it can become more unstable become a chronic condition therefore whe you go for farther assessments you will be more depressed than when you first signed on. With physical conditions you can spot accurate recovery time and if the symptoms are true though even then there can be mistakes like miss diagnosis for cancer.
      If you actually have something wrong with you, you are going to find it hard because you are finding it hard to function, thats a big part of why its tough. So when you mix in the average percentage of people who will fake ailments to get on welfare plus the ambiguous nature of mental health and society's pressure to not question too much. So you get the defunct system that we have now. Really we need people to raise the alarm for people who are abusing the system instead of just saying I know a few people cheat the system and not do anything about it.

    I bet they wouldn’t use the same logic then if the question were “Are migrants too reliant on Britains benefits” but then they wouldn’t DARE ask that would they?🤷🏻‍♂️

    • @DCDPM
      @DCDPM Месяц назад

      They do. This program loves throwing dog whistles at far right individuals such as yourself. Channel migrants aren't eligible for state benefits like SSP and Universal Credit. I know Farage and Tommy 10 Names tell you these falsehoods, but you don't want to know the facts.

    It’s not easy to claim &you definitely don’t get a lot to live on, need social? they expect you to live on 600-700 per month including utility bills food clothing over the counter meds as now prescriptions have been made harder, reviews aren’t easy either I had 3 folders worth of paperwork roughly 150 documents that I’d give in and they’d not even read the majority they try& trick you,if your having a panic attack they’ll say your crying and hyperventilating is making them “scared and feel unsafe for they’re life and you’ll have to go home and start the process with another assessor” they aren’t fit to do them in the first place and the majority of people who are declined are overturned when they go to a tribunal. I think it’s a crime where not talking about the real problems, the me tal health system either failing or not even doing its job, I had 2 near death experiences struggle to get out of the home physically and there’s no at home support for mental health there’s no support if the treatments they have haven’t worked for you, there’s no support often even if you’ve been referred by a HOSPITAL I was at a very low point and rang them and told them I needed help and I was scared of my thoughts and didn’t know how much longer I’d be able to stay here and they said bring it up at my next review which was over 3 months away. Often the health system has lack of support for those needing adjustments wether that’s physical or mental. This means appointments are often put back or cancelled to go though the process all over again, I’ve been waiting for some treatments and appointments over 6 years now! This is why the number of people claiming is going up! What do you expect stop trying to treat the symptoms and start treating the causes!

    PIP is not as such a sickness benefit. You can be in work and still get PIP. If you have issues with getting around you can receive a free car in exchange for part of your benefit.

    I refuse to accept the UK has the most disabled and sick population in Europe. No what we have is a welfare benefit system that incentivises people to get a diagnosis which increases their level of benefits and a household income they probably could not earn working. Benefits were never intended to support a life of never working. Yes there are some cases of disability that should be supported but the vast majority that I see and know of are working age people on these benefits who could work but choose not to. We need to be honest about this situation!

    • @EloiseB2025

      A diagnosis alone does not guarantee a claimant the benefit. They have to pass assessments.

      I'm disabled and believe me it's not easy to get disability benefits. The assessments are very degrading. You're made to feel you're lying about you're conditions. I had a stroke when I was 43 I'm 56 now, got epilepsy, lumbar and cervical spondylitis, had heart surgery because of a hole in the my heart. Got all the medical evidence yet still get treated like I'm lying. I'm in 24/7 pain I can't take strong painkillers because of my epilepsy. Believe me I did not choose this as a way of living.
