- BOG DeathGrip: The Best Shooting Sticks
Around Christmas of last year we were introduced to the BOG DeathGrip and after field testing it, we give it an A+ and 110 out of a 100!
The BOG™ DeathGrip Tripod is engineered to be the most stable precision tripod on the market. Its aluminum legs have unmatched durability for hunt after hunt. The patented clamp secures any weapon, hands-free, freeing the BOG™ hunter to glass or call on the hunt with ease. The non-marring rubber jaw protects your firearms when locking it into place and all you have to do is adjust the tension in the head to your preference and all you have to do then is move your shoulder in the direction you want and your firearm now becomes a part of you.

What’s the heaviest weapon you used with it?
We've used it with the Performance Center T/C LRR which is just over 11lbs equipped with a suppressor. Seen at 0:56
Looked at a few vids on the DeathGrip and I liked this this one the best.
Thanks!
Excellent video, very well done!! I'm ordering a Death Grip right now!!
It looks like it could be better than standard shooting sticks. My only concern would be how the accuracy is affected on a free float barrel when you clamp that down on the stock.
If you have a truly free floated barrel and a stock forend that isn't soft marshmallow garbage, it shouldn't affect it much at all.
These shooting aids are a very good thing for humane hunting, as they will enable very well-placed shots that will quickly dispatch game. On the downside, part of the fun and challenge of marksmanship is breath control and hand-eye coordination aspect, which tripods sort of cancel out.
so take that power steering off your car and the ac, - vacuum brake assist. ?
You STILL need to exercise all of those marksmanship fundamentals to make sure you don't move your rifle off target.
It helps a shooter get better stability with the skills they already possess, it doesn't replace them.
Hi... Could you be so kind and let me know which backpack you are using in this video?... Thanks a lot and best regards...
Hey there, here is a link to the backpack we were using.

@@DeerGearTV Hi... Thanks a lot for the fast answer... This is awesome!... Perfect...!
Curious if I could use in my Shadow Hunter blind? Approximately 3.5 wide by 5 long. Or would a bipod be better? Just want to be rock solid! I have some really long shots potentially
It will fit, we've used it in similar spaces. Overall we've found this to be the best tripod ever for sitting in a blind like that. ROCK solid and steady all around. Good luck. We don't think you'll be disapointed.
@@WhitetailDiaries thank you so much! I love the looks of it so much! I potentially have some shots of 350-400 yards. I use a .300 Win Mag and it’s dialed in good so I know my gun is more than capable. I just want to have the most stable rest I possibly can. Can’t wait to try it out
I have just shot pcp from it and am pleased with results! Every tripod you look at is gonna have something wrong with it that someone finds!
Will it work with the original Bog Pod tripod?
No it’s not compatible with the original. They are two unique platforms.

Figures😕 Thanks!
What one recently and have used it with 20gauge and 12gauge shotguns for patterning for turkey season. Right now I am using it with my Daniel defense A.R. 15 getting it sighted in. I like it very much but it does not hold any of the guns in a perfectly horizontal position. Depending on the weight of the gun if you’re not clamping it over the ejection port it will either slowly move forward or backward. That having been said, it does not affect me sitting and rotating the rifle up to aim and shoot as it does not slip out of the grip.
Any thoughts on Mounting a Carry Sling to my new Carbon Fiber Death Grip , to carry it to the Blind??
Lenny, there are several slings that camera guys use to put under the head of their tripods and then to the legs to carry those in field. Those would work pretty well if you've got a long carry. Hope that helps
Great for short carry. Not a mobile hunt.
How much does it weigh?
8.5 LBS Aluminum
7.5 LBS Carbon Fiber
But the big thing, what the cost?
Its heavier than i thought it'd be but its pretty impressive in my opinion.
@@rudolphferdinand3634 one at gunstore in Greenville Ms is 160.00+-
Rudolph Ferdinand...Sportsmans Guide has the aluminum for $134...free shipping and if you become member for $49/year, you have option of 4 pmt plan! Most things on there are less expensive than other places so you get your $ back pretty quick!
👍
Will it can't left and right
No
Thats why the price is so cheap. No canting
Fact is that any type of a rifle rest is an improvement over having no rest at all.
Fact also is that this particular type of rest is far from being the best one could use.
What's the best of atleast above this? Im thinking of getting the death grip but if there's something similar
For a second I thought this was bill gates
This expensive tripod is not worth the money. It is heavy and the swivel points become worn after a couple uses causing the firearm or crossbow not to be held horizontal. Contacted the company and they only said it is not designed to hold the firearm on its own. This video shows differently.
Expensive?? Its $140 man... theres tripods that go up to a grand. He had it set loose and was using gravity to balance it, not depending on the tension to hold it. Dont abuse things and expect them to still work.
No it's not best!!!! this thing is junk!!!! Just bought one, complete shit. Taking it back tomorrow, over hyped product!!
