Tidy ! As they say down your neck of the woods. Just had to replace my lads front panel, bonnet , condensor etc. But got a guy to help. £300 all in with bits. In the past I might have just scrapped it. But watching yours and others videos have given me the confidence to know all is not lost. The insurance wanted to right it off! Cheers 👍 now I just need you do a crash damaged MG4 EV like mine. So Know how to fix them 😂
@@grouchthatbarx Yeah the condenser emptied itself after the bump. Which was handy £75 saved there😂. Refilling wiil be another matter , but i want to check the compressor, relay and pressure test it first. AC is so expensive for something we rarely use here.
Just to clarify a refuge is a safe place, so you may mean a refuse centre!! This was a great project and amazing to see what could be achieved. You have done a great job and I hope you manage to find an easy fix for the radar sensor calibration.
Given it's "tomorrow" now, best of luck. When you had the bonnet up, I was genuinely shocked how similar the front guts of your Kona is to my Kia Soul Maxx EV. Everything looked to be in exactly the same place between the two.
The parking sensors from factory do come colour coded on the kona lets just say it was a oversight and you forgot to get them done at the same time as the bumper otherwise it a good repair and a credit to you
Dolphin Parking Sensors also sell the correct manufacturer colour coded front and rear parking sensors, ready to install/fit. Over the past 10 years or so, I've used Dolphin to fit sensors on a couple of cars that didn't have them fitted. They sent a guy to fit them on my drive, while I drank tea.... Fitted prices aren't too bad either. I've not had to have any fitted for years, but you buy the sensors you need from the Dolphin site, then contact a local fitter in your area. I seem to recall the total cost of my last sensors was around £150 bought and fitted. Car makers often charge £250+ as a factory fit option..... Dolphin also fit dash cams etc at your home address.....

go to halfords and get a white bycycle reflector, after all a cheap reflector is still a reflector, fix it to a stick or tape it to a big bottle of pop bobs your uncle :) :)
@@grouchthatbarx You can’t clear a fault that persists, but if you have too many codes on a vehicle. Do a quick erase first and then look at what returns in order to work out where the fault lies.
The smarter financial move would be to drop the Kona at the refuge tip centre and instead salvage the radiator, condenser & old battery .. tickety boo..😂
If you don't like EVs don't buy one, I'll be more than happy if all you folk terrified of change stick with your Flintstone cars, it'll keep the every expanding charging network quieter for the rest of us.
An ever more prudent move might be for you to consider watching a different channel.....instead of hanging around in here. As I once commented, you won't gather much support here. If your preference is for "smarter financial moves", then may I suggest one of the hundreds of RUclips investment channels, rather than one which concentrates on repairing cars. both ICE or electric?
Are they also getting rid of petrol cars that have been catching fire for many many many Years? If you are petrified of electric cars then stop watching my channel 👍
And *user-ij5uz5dm5j* just to let *you* know, that at some point, if you continue with the pointless comments, none of which add anything useful to the content here, Grouch will at some point probably exclude you from his channel permanently (it's happened before with others) I reckon you won't have too many strikes left before you're gone...

Does the insurance get affected by Cat N? I guess I could look it up and I suspect some will use anything to increase the premium.
In my experience it's no difference.

The reflector is actually a concave triangle type thingy

It needs to be a triangle shaped thingy.
