Thanks for the video! We installed our tub in a bed of morter, and it made it feel more stable. We also installed insulation in the tub cavity. I'm glad I did because now my wife says her bath water stays hot a lot longer. We went with a steel and porcelain tub because the tub we replaced was acrylic, and it made creeking sounds whenever you took a shower or sat in the bath.
Did you have to do anything special to level your tub? Or did your sub floor luckily happen to be level? Thanks so much! So grateful for the install tutorials
You can pick up the complete kit at home depot / lowes etc. comes with all you need. here is one example: www.homedepot.com/p/Everbilt-Twist-and-Close-1-1-2-in-Sch-40-White-PVC-Pipe-Bath-Waste-and-Overflow-Tub-Drain-in-Chrome-WO-3-CR-TC/206393883
Was worth watching, but most of your words were unintelligible. It is difficult to work and talk. Better to give us a voice over of what is going on while you were working.
Your technique of rolling the tub forward then rotating it out was the simplest removal I've seen. Thank you.
Appreciate that 👍

Great work. All those are big pluses 👍👊

Yeah. Make sure floor leveled. Same with walls. Level and square.
Good job 👍
Thanks 👊
But how do you tie the PVC into old metal pipe for the drain when you don't have access on the other side?
Might have to open up floor a little where tub sits. Unless have access from bottom room like I did from my garage
Is this one of the bootz brand tubs? I was looking at the Maui to go with the nexttile
Yes it’s bootz. Might be the Maui. I have to check my history.
Is it necessary to titen the drain that much.
Want it nice and snug. But don’t over do it. With the wrench it might look more than it was.
What did you put on the end of the pipes you cut?
Shark bite connectors
Where did you get the new white drain? Did you have to custom fit it?

Thanks for feedback. Might try that in future
