I'm about to take my bath out because of those stupid center taps. Whoever fitted our bath did not secure the locking nut properly so the taps now move at one end. To tighten the nut, I have to take the bath out, so putting a traditional end tap version back in. Great video and thank you for sharing 👌👌

Your bath will sink slightly when it's full of water, so you should fill up the bath before sealing to replicate this. If you start sealing with an empty bath, the sealant could crack as it expands when you first use it.

I installed one of those baths with taps on the side in my old house.... Looked amazing.... Until the flexible tap pipes perished..... Oh dear dear dear.... NEVER again will I ever use those flexible hoses! If I wanted them on the side, I'd sooner put pipes into the wall and then mount a funky tap to the wall, pouring into the bath.

Personally if you want the taps there I'd have advised wall mounted taps. They're going to be a nightmare to get off if you ever wamt to change them. Agree with others sit the feet on a timber strap if you have floorboards. I'd sling a couple of rubber line clips on that waste run too. It can go soft with hot water and sag over time. But good job overall😊

You could try the nerrad tapex kit to get up there with a camera or a mirror but it's a nightmare job. If its on an internal wall cut a hatch from the next room. I always recommend wall mounted taps for these scenarios for this reason. Good luck.

@@DrunkenKnight71 I cut away the wall from a bedroom next door to access someones taps and plumbing in a bathroom not dissimilar to this one. Luckily it was only plasterboard, not brick, but it was definitely the lesser evil to deal with, and didn't disturb anything in the bathroom. I normally use lever isolation valves instead of ballofix as they can tighten up with time.
