Thanks man, there’s hope. Doing a lift for my kids Jeep and those thing are skipping on me. All the other things I’ve watched are way harder and say to weld the nut on. Don’t have the equipment for all that
Thank you! You saved my day. I have an 06 TJ and when I was trying to remove the rear body mounts they snapped. So, now I need to put new body mount bolts on each side. This video is very precise and clear.
OMG, THIS is the video I have been looking for! I have a 2005 LJ and I've been trying to figure out how to get those G.D. rear bolts out. Mine are spinning like a top and was completely lost on how to gain purchase on them. I'm removing a roof rack mount that used those bolts and I'm removing a rusted out aftermarket rear bumper and putting the original bumper back on with a new trailer hitch. Thank You very much for doing the work needed to do this job, so I didn't have to work blind on this!!!
Great video, thinking of buying first jeep. 1999 wrangler. Seller says the rear frame is solid, but mounts are bad. You make it look easy to replace. I've a plasma cutter and mig welder, should make job a little easier.
Good vid, never knew how complicated it was to get at the rear body mounts. It's hard to tell but it almost looks like there's no metal left to mount a new body mount too. I picked up an 04 a few months back and planned on installing new body mounts so would appreciate more video on cutting out that rear DS body mount.
Excellent video. Thank you. Question for you: the square you cut for the driver's side is perfectly measured to the "floor" where the stock capture nut sits. Could you be so kind as to post measurements of where to cut to get it as precise as what you did?
Great video. I’m thinking of purchasing my first Wrangler. Seller says she needs Shock Body Mount Replaced. What purpose does the Shock Body Mount serve? As a motorcycle guy, just not sure what this parts does or how safe the vehicle is with/without this repair done immediately.
