Former EMT here. People have refused to let me treat them because I'm a woman, because I'm a different color, because they thought I was too young...same response. Call back when they're unconscious. 🤦🏽♀️
As someone with prior lifeguard training, not quite the equivalent to the professionalism of an EMT, we got this saying, "once unconscious, they basically gave passive permission of consent to help them."

Story 2 - What a horrible woman and daughter. Thank goodness someone was filming the entire thing of OP saving the ED and the EM’s screeching and assault on him.
Final Story - OP is definitely NTA, OP was protecting his friend from being pommeled by a kid with a bat and rage issues. Learning disability or not that’s still no excuse for Timmy’s behavior. The Mother is Most Definitely the Ahole here.
Don’t forget that they mentioned the mental problems were mild and the kid was capable of being normal. The fact that the mom tried to defend her kid even when he was going to pommel someone with a baseball bat is sickening.
Learning disability, mental illness, physical illness, horrible childhood, etc. doesn't give you an exception to rules of human decency. THERE IS NO EXCUSE FOR BAD BEHAVIOR.
I have a nephew that is about 27 years old, severe down syndrome. He has 5 brothers, and he behaves just as well as the rest of them do. (Which is very well) He knows not to mess with his mom.
That last story brought up a memory of when I was 16. One day I walked around our house from the backyard and saw the neighbor’s little 7 year old daughter playing with her dolls on their front lawn. Tip-toeing up behind her was a 10 year old trouble-maker from down the street with his baseball bat raised over his head and an evil grin on his face. Slinking on her belly behind HIM was the girl’s German Shepherd dog, teeth bared and hackles up. I yelled “NO!”, the boy whirled and saw the me and the dog, dropped the bat and ran home. The poor dog thought she was in trouble, so I gave her a lot of praise and encouraged the bewildered girl to do the same. Then I took the girl and dog to their house and told her mom what happened. That evening I told my parents; my father first talked to the girl’s mom (the dad was no longer around) and then went to talk to the boy’s parents. I don’t know what my dad said to them, they had only been living on our street for a few months, but they moved away by the end of the summer. I have sometimes wondered what happened to that little psychopath.
Good Samaritan laws exist for good reason. Karen has absolutely no ground to stand on and would sink faster than her daughter did if she even tries to sue.
@@zackkatian3436 Is that because of cases where someone gets rescued, only to turn around and sue their rescuer because they were trying to kill their self or be injured bad enough to scam a huge settlement?
@@markrahm6900 Nope. Good Samaritan laws are there to prevent that. But quite a few places around the world have either abolished said protection laws or are trying to.
I once worked at a nursing home and met the men and ladies of the ambulance and fire rescue. I've witnessed countless times of their encounters with a rowdy resident, patron, or another employee. They don't get enough credit. They do a job that most people won't stomach. Please give them the utmost respect since they could one day potentially save your life.❤❤❤❤❤
There are also some aholes in these services. I called an ambulance for my brother who was passed out after taking an OD to kill himself. They took half an hour to get there (fine, not their fault if services are stretched) then they took their sweet time coming up the stair, it was definitely on purpose, they stopped on every landing and walked up slowly as they could. When they finally got into the room they couldn't look less bothered, and all they did was cause my brother as much pain as possible to bring him round. They twisted his ear until he screamed in pain, and carried on doing that when he was clearly woken up. I was so close to punching the guy in the face, particularly because I was in shock at thinking my brother was dead, and I still don't think I'd have been in the wrong, but legally of course I would be charged with assault or worse and they would be exonerated of all accusations so I'm glad I didn't. He recovered but they really would have just let him die becausxe they had no idea if he was in a serious condition beforehand. I think they just assumed he was a drug addict and made some moral judgement to just let him die or do the minimum job to help.
I can understand when the MAGA types throw a fit at having to wear a mask, but to get enraged when someone else is exercising the same rights to their body as they want for themselves is just pure brainwashing. "Mask bad."
I worked as a lifeguard for many years. One of the first things we learned was to protect ourselves. If a victim was actively clawing my face and resisting, I’d let go or push them away. Granted, being in water versus a bog are 2 different kinds of rescues, but a rescuer can easily turn into a victim in both scenarios.
Story 2: Don't you hate when people are so into their little worlds that they just don't follow rules and endanger themselves, and then get mad when someone saves them? Like, yeah Karen just does not understand, and the kid needs to be with someone else. You don't threaten someone that saved your life
I would not have the nerve to take people on guided tours through the swamp. I live in the country, I'm ok to pick up snakes, fine with ticks, been through knee deep pond muck and lost my boots, so all of that is fine. But I spent a decade in retail and a decade in accounting. I know very well how badly people follow directions. Thank goodness someone was filming.
Story 3: Yeah, Karen was the only real bad person in this post. Timmy was a victim of a learning disability and coddling, and OP was defending Charlie (not in the most peaceful way).
Story 1 - Lots of weird stuff happened during the pandemic. A friend was doing clinic when someone showed up very sick, saw a doc wearing the mask and punched her. Then started swinging till he had some sort of event from the exertion. Last story - Coddling a kid like that ruins their future. A kid in my dorm was like that, some sort of disability and an anger problem, was homeschooled till then. I was going too slow for him one day and he punched me in the back hard enough to nearly flatten me. I rounded on him seeing red...but he did it in front of the dorm entrance with the RA's and cameras. I cooled down and he was suspended. Next time I heard about him he had attacked his roommate and got expelled. He wasn't stupid, he just couldn't handle how the world didn't operate according to his whims.
@@kranberry3318 I don't know the specifics besides he ended up on a ventilator and did have Covid as people had to isolate after it. I was thinking it was a stroke/seizure of some sort as this was some pretty sudden and insane behavior.
THE LAST STORY. IT IS YOUR responsibility as THEFRICKIN PARENTS to TEACH A CHILD right from WRONG! EVEN DISABLED ADULTS KNOW RIGHT FROM WRONG! If you can’t do that then GIVE UP YOUR CHILD AND DON’TYOU DARE CARE FOR THEM if you can’t even TEACH THEM right from wrong! Grown ADULTS who have THE SAME THING knows right from wrong! YOU FAILED YOUR CHILD IF HE DOESN’T KNOW RIGHT FROM WRONG!
For the record, kids with learning disabilities have to be of average or higher intelligence. They do know right from wrong. If the kid went left instead of right, that could be the disability. Hitting someone because you didn't get your own way is a parenting issue.
That last story reminds me of an incident when I was in elementary school. There was this boy, let's call him Andy, who had serious anger management issues. In fourth grade at recess some of the kids were playing a makeshift game of baseball and when it came to be Andy's turn at the bat he tried to hit the ball but missed all three times. The pitcher was a girl in the same grade who was on the softball team, let's call her Mellissa. Andy was a fourth grader who was roughly the same size as a sixth grader. The girl was a twig of a girl who probably weighed barely 50 pounds soaking wet. Andy was so pissed about missing the balls that he started chasing Mellissa with the bat and taking swings at her. The teachers were, of course, completely useless. Mellissa managed to run from the field where the game was being played to the blacktop where the Basketball hoops were. I was on the blacktop drawing with chalk and saw Andy chasing Mellissa. I didn't really care for Mellissa and I was fairly indifferent to Andy but after seeing the teachers doing Jack all to stop Andy from attempting murder I decided to get involved. Andy might have had a foot on me in height but I was a chubby kid with a lot of anger issues in my own right and an older brother who played football. And there's nothing quite as embarrassing to a boy like getting shoulder tackled by a chick a foot shorter than you and having your "weapon" pulled out of your hands and yeeted across the blacktop. Of course for all that Andy got in trouble with the school for the attempted murder, no cops were called. But naturally I was also punished for "Hurting a fellow student". 🙄
Last one...that mother wasn't just giving her son an excuse to act poorly...she was giving herself an excuse to not bother parenting properly...parenting is hard sometimes.
Story 1: As a male, and a gay male at that, I'd be terrified to help a kid if I saw one in need, eg lost in a carpark or something similar. It only takes an accusation of impropriety and your life can be ruined. There's been stories about people trying to help and having their photo plastered all over social medial calling them horrible names and having their lives ruined, even when it's been proved that nothing untoward happened.
I remember myself and a friend of mine visiting the US once with a tour group, we were going to Disneyland and yes there was a Karen couple that complained about everything the tour was doing, the wife Karen started making snide remarks at me when I was talking to my friend in Finnish. She made a big stink about it for five minutes because she thought we were bad mouthing her in Finnish. She demanded the tour guide that me and my friend should be removed from the group and her husband kept enabling her behaviour but the tour guide just said. “Don’t like it, leave” he was having none of it. They left and the tour group was quieter once they left. My friend and I were talking about Disney souvenirs to bring back to family but after Mr and Mrs stuck up left, then we were talking about them but in English.
The kid with a disability in story 3, his attitude was the result of full coddling. I have tourettes, autism and aspergers myself, and while i did need more attention than usual, i wasn't coddled to the point i was spoiled. My parents just used different methods and examples to teach me right from wrong. And i would never use my disabilities to excuse boarderline attempted murder like this kid seemed to try.
Story 3: it doesnt matter if you have a learning disability what you do it still wrong. If that child robbed a bank and they pulled him in for questioning does the son and mom think that they can just say "my son has a learning disability he doesnt know any better" and theyll just let him go free because of it. No! Learning disability or not always teach your child what is right and wrong. That child and mom is why people with actual learning disabilities get treated poorly because people assume we are all spoiled brats
If the child had been arrested, the child would merely be in a place of safety, getting proper care, and the mother would be sitting with the assault charges instead. Legal guardian gets the charges, seeing as they are considered to be the one in control of the child.
Story 1: that old man is insufferable. Just let the trained paramedics do their thing and don't lecture them on your WebMD Google seach results. Story 2: I hiked in forested mountain areas all the time as a kid. You always listen to your guide. Do not let the guide out of your site. If you don't listen, they are not responsible for the consequences. You are. I haven't dealt with swamp hiking, but it's no different. The guides tell you where to and not to walk because they are trying to keep you safe. Story 3: "He has a mental disorder! He's fine! He doesn't know any better!" That's the exact kind of behavior that allows serial killers to form. Everyone sucks here, but the mother was 100% the worst.
I feel like in this type of situation, parents like her yelling “he doesn’t know any better!” is just a different pronunciation for “I’m a terrible parent!”
Probably, though the being deported with a ban from travel to that country will make the home country look hard at her behavior. Being deported for assault, child endangerment and such charges, with the trial proceeding being sent with the deportation order, she will very likely have her country CPS charging her as well, and removing the daughter from her custody, and the father would probably be also there to take the child away, to correct her behavior if possible.
To the EMT story, if you're going to fight help meant to save your life then just start shopping for a nice cherry wood casket with a lining that's your favorite color.
Final Story - What would the mother have said to the police and judge if OP hadn’t been there and Timmy had severely injured Charlie or worse killed him?
Probably either tried to STILL make excuses, just more complicated ones, OR she would've had a "Oh my god, what have I done!" moment and realized how badly she'd screwed up with her son, and everyone would've rightly told her "Too little, too late" while her son was being sent to juvie.
Story 3: It really sucks seeing someone with mental issues going down the wrong path because they aren't put into an environment that guides them to be better. I should know, I was just like that kid. Turns out, I'm autistic and my violent tendency's were from me not understanding a lot of things, too many changes at once, etc. If my family had known the signs to look for, told the doctor and had me diagnosed earlier, I probably wouldn't have been so bad as a kid but at the same time, those mistakes helped shape me into a better person that overcame the anger I use to feel from not understanding. Now, I know the signs for when I'm starting to slip and I can control myself better. From the looks of the end of that story, that kid saw what sort of future was heading towards him and decided to become better for his own sake just like I did. It just sucks his mom knew what was wrong with him and didn't give him the foundation he needed to be better sooner and it took him fucking up that bad to see he needed to change.
As someone who works with disabled children, they absolutely have to be taught right from wrong, even if you have to use charades and flashcards to get the point across. Kind hands is something taught from nursery!
Mask story: Given all the things EMS, firefighters and police walk into I can't blame them in the least for wanting to protect themselves. And sorry Mr. I-can't-breathe, but the N-95 masks work very well when properly fitted. Swamp story: And all because Karen and her daughter REFUSED TO LISTEN TO THE GUIDE WHO WAS THERE TO KEEP THEM SAFE and ignored the instructions to stay on the duck boards and the warnings about bog holes. Baseball story: Not teaching a child what's right and wrong is simply laziness on the part of the parents. If a child is so badly handicapped to not be able to understand the concepts, then they shouldn't be out unsupervised anyway. And for those kids I feel sorry.
Story 2 - make mental institutions great again. The mental gymnastics at play here would make the Joke blush- -sign up and pay to join a guided nature hike with your child -ignore the guide and go off the trail with your child -your child's life is directly endangered by your decision you leave the trail -the guide steps in and saves your child's life by literally pulling her out of danger -the whole incident is the guide's fault and they're a creep for touching your child? 🤔 Truly that mother is an unknowable enigma
The biggest learning difficulty children face is bad parenting. I have known multiple people who have multiple different learning disorders and they all understand the difference between right and wrong but unfortunately those who have bad parents have been taught that they can do anything without having to face the consequences of their actions. It doesn't take any intelligence or skills to become a parent but it does take intelligence and people skills to be a good parent.
I have a learning disability, my sister has a learning disability, and because of learning disability I was in special Ed all school so I have been around those with special needs a lot . Yes some can get violent but just because they have a harder time learning it doesn't mean they can't learn at all
@kai7692 well I'd rather wear it not get sick. Than not wear it and get severely ill. My mom caught covid like 3 times...and ended up with long covid...essentially a life long issue. 😑 so yes I did absolutely wear a mask.
The last story also brings up a good point, if the mom thinks that her son's violent tendencies aren't his fault... funny thing is, if the mom actually believed that her son might be a hazard to himself and others (Not on purpose) shouldn't she be watching him 24/7 while he's out in public then? and not let him go off on his own?
Story 3- as someone with a learning disability I can you from experience even with it I was raised to know right from wrong. That kid is just a bully and spoiled brat who think he can use the the fact that he learns differently to get away with everything. Someone like that is most likely going to end up in prison and even then his mother would probably still be saying, “he has a learning disability so he didn’t know any better.” At that point you really have failed as a parent.
Idk if he’s using it as an excuse, like he knows better and is being purposely malicious, or if he’s just doing what his mother taught him to do. It seems like she was raising him specifically to act this way.
Story 2: And this is why I don’t even say a friendly hello to kids. You never know when Mama Karen is going to shout that you’re a predator for so much as glancing in her kid’s direction
Yeah I worry about my father he tells every parent of little kids that they "have a cutie(s)"...he says he does it cuz it compliments the parents'. But I worry they will take it wrong this old guy in his 70s is saying anything about little kids' looks.
@@vulpixle9659 yeah I don't get these people that think masks don't work - they do if you use them & use them properly! I have a bit of faith in the medical/science community who have been wearing/using them forever - they must use them for a reason coz everyone knows they're hot, horrible things to wear!
@@MrsGump As the science has shown, masks definitely DO work, but mostly when the infected person is the one wearing the mask. Wearing a mask around contagious unmasked people is fairly ineffective.
About the last story, I had a friend who worked with special needs people. The biggest that they had is teaching these people that you don’t get what you want when you want because they were spoiled and could do what theywanted when they wanted. Meal times were the worst, they thought that they should get to eat what they wanted to when they wanted to.
as an autistic person myself you'd be amazed how common stories like Timmy are, letting them get away with things especially violent acts should be considered neglect, I personally had a school bully at junior school that was basically the "muscle" for bullies that pretended to be his friends, at middleschool I was assaulted in front of teachers and all they did was timidly ask the kid to stop, no suspension or anything, saw another kid chasing a girl afraid of clowns with a picture of one and teachers didn't step in until I stepped in and demanded he stop, at which point I was told off because he didn't know any better and they obviously had to tell him off too so this 12-13 year old was sobbing like a baby for being told he can't bully a 12-13 year old girl that was also special needs, in general when it comes to bullies when I have kids I'll teach them that if school doesn't stop a bully, stop them yourself
This last story absolutely infuriates me. My sister has a bunch of mental disorders. I do too, but not as severe everyone except for her own family would coddle her she would hit me whenever something didn’t go her way and the officers would come to the house and literally say well because she’s mentally disabled. There’s nothing we can do and one of them even told her that she had every right to hit me due to those mental disorders so just like the guy in the last story she uses her mental disorders as you know a way for her to get away with things and it’s sadthat she feels that she has to use her mental disorders to get out of trouble
@@sylviajones6745 Due to the trauma I suffered from her I am no longer talking to her. I have decided to go no contact with her but I have both my mother and my fiance looking out for me.
@jonathan_herr Some of them say masks muffle your voice or the "generous" ones say it circulates co2 back into your body. I can sorta understand the sound one depending on the mask and who's speaking, but if it's that air-tight that you risk suffocating, then you need a looser mask. I circle back to the surgeon thing, they're a good example of both points.
Well, all these “masks don’t work” people should refuse to have surgeries from doctors who will routinely (and have routinely for decades) worn masks to decrease infection risk. It should free up a lot more slots for rational people who haven’t decided to make an ideological belief into a ridiculous line in the sand.
Masks don't work against viruses. They barely work against bacteria. Surgeons wear them to avoid getting bodily fluids in their mouths/noses. You're a GOOD CoviDhimmi, though.
Personally, I don't care if people like that don't survive. Maybe he really didn't want help and the mask thing was an easy target to vent on. I'm not wearing a mask, that's my choice. Someone else is wearing a mask, that's their choice. As long as it's not a Halloween mask or a ski mask, what's the problem?
@@markrahm6900 the problem is those who refuse to wear a mask when asked. Masks do reduce the spread of disease. I will never understand why people don't wear them when asked.
Im HoH. Last time i needed an EMT they wore a mask which i was fine with but explained I couldnt read lips otherwise. Lucky for me he knew ASL. And it went fine (i had sliced my foot working in the yard pretty badly). I ended up needing stitches.
Story 1 -- honestly I wouldn't want to take the easy route to help the guy, and then get sick forcing me to be a human biohazard because my mask was off, and then with an added bonus with the risk of death keeping me company.
We have a cousin who has epilepsy. Her family always babied her and she got away with a lot of crap. One day my sister was at their house hanging out with her brother. Because she wasn't the center of attention, she decided to "have an attack". Her grandmother asked my sister to take her to the bathroom because sometimes when she has these attacks she wets her pants. So when my sister helped her to the bathroom, she hit my sister in the face. My sister not having that nonsense punched her in the face and snapped her out of her "attack"!
Last story: I’m glad Timmy realized he can’t use his disability as an excuse to get what you want, because you can’t flaunt the disability card for everything. I’m autistic and if I tried to use my autism to get anything other than necessary accommodations, my mom would absolutely drag me by the ear to trouble town.
20:12 Having a learning disability does not make you immune to consequences. At best the consequences of your actions will be lessened IF the people who would be the executors of said consequences are aware of the disability and how it affects the suspect, and even then, i'm pretty sure disabilities don't affect how a person defends themself or others from an attacker when the attacker is the one with said disability.
The mother of the kid in the last story missed that he had learned to use her, based on his grin while hiding behind her. For her sake, I hope she wises up!
It irritates me when people use disabilities as an excuse to be a shitty person, because I have a disability and I can manage not to be a piece of shit!! Grow up
Story 1: Remind of a story that DarkFluff read that told about a old senior during Covid that want a staff member reading glasses and is willing to cause harm to himself the point he end up intubate when his vital were in the red. He end up passing away shortly after, all because he wanted to annoyed the staff.
Well...he may very well have learning disabilities, but - note to parents - that is NOT a blanket excuse for letting your child get away with things that no one should get away with.
Last story: I hate it when people want to put the excuse of "they don't know any better", because of disability. Teach them! It may be differently to a typical kid, but they can still LEARN! This is coming from a mother of a disabled kid who has been teaching her kid right from wrong.
If it was me holding that bat, Timmy's mom wouldn't have gotten close enough to slap me!!! I was a hellion at that age too and on a couple different occasions I took on an adult, verbally and physically!!! I was the kind of kid that always played with sticks, so I was never far from a homemade cudgel to defend myself!!!
Story 1: I love how the COVIDiot crowd seems to believe that all these health measures are some radical new ideas with little to no science behind them (not that they'd believe in science anyway). Story 3: "Doesn't know any better" is not an excuse, especially when long-term consequences are at play.
Op for first story there’s a difference between calling for a medical emergency and an intruder. Don’t call 911 for intruders we call 811 cause that’s who you call before digging
That entire story was sketchy as hell. Op was basically gloating that someone of a different ideology was sick, and was using the face covering bs as a weapon, despite the fact that they weren't required to wear it.
@thalinororcbreaker2840 Paramedic with 44 years experience here. No, OPs story is entirely plausible. I've seen it, heard it, experienced it. We do still wear masks (optionally) to protect ourselves, and most importantly, to protect our patients, who have no idea where we've been or who we've encountered earlir.
@@dinascharnhorst6590 The wearing mask part is normal and entirely plausible. The ideological grand standing and stereotyping isn't, and reads like bad fanfic.
@@dinascharnhorst6590 Do you also make fun of your patients, weaponize your ideological indicator, make the patient feel as if you are their enemy, get your colleagues in on it, then force them to sign refusal of care when YOU are the one who is weaponizing PPE? Or do you reassure the patient and then treat them?
Story 1: This is the worst kind of fuck around and find out. It is their right to refuse treatment but it is crazy how people would more likely die than get treatment because you're wearing a mask. Story 2: This is another fuck around and find out. This mom didn't do her job and that kid nearly died. Story 3: I can't blame OP as it seems they learned he can't keep acting like that when he thinks it is okay to assault people with a deadly weapon. I'm happy Timmy didn't get jump for how he was acting.
I feel similarly to story one with masks. The two to three years of quarantine were amazing because I only got sick one time throughout that entire space. No headaches no common cold no strep throat no bronchitis etc etc about the worst thing I got was an upset stomach from eating questionable food. As soon as people stopped wearing masks so much I immediately got sick again. So I completely understand... If someone wants to wear a mask let him wear a mask and don't ridicule them or belittle them over it.
Story 1: Even assuming he were correct that masks don't do any good, what business is it of his if the paramedics want to use something ineffective on themselves? They're not even asking him to wear one.
The last story: Again, as someone who has a mental disability, the last bloody thing you wanna do is to coddle you child if he has done something bad and use that disability as a excuse. IT. ONLY. MAKES. THINGS. WORSE. The mothers attitude also didn't help either, I mean, she was lucky that day that her son only got a bloody nose otherwise, he would of been locked away for trying to murder someone, and then what, who's to blame for that? I swear, some people don't take mental disabilities seriously....
Guy in story 1 would probably go berserk over OP and his crew coming in with full firefighting gear trying to get him out of the burning house yelling “Take that off, masks don’t work” Like hello this thing is keeping me from breathing in the smoke, thanks 😒 Story 2: Karen yelling how dare OP not warn her.
Karen: He doesn't know any better.
Me: That's why you should teach him better before he turns into a psychotic serial killer.
My homeland takes assault on an EMT very seriously.
So, what will the patient say when he is sent to a hospital and dozens of doctors, nurses, and assistants are all wearing masks, too?
Some throw fits and refuse treatment then, too. It's sad.
Darwin Award incoming. (Unless he's aready reproduced.)
Judging by the fact he's morbidly obese, someone wearing a mask is the least of his problems....
I can understand when the MAGA types throw a fit at having to wear a mask, but to get enraged when someone else is exercising the same rights to their body as they want for themselves is just pure brainwashing. "Mask bad."
Wait till he finds out about firefighters
I worked as a lifeguard for many years. One of the first things we learned was to protect ourselves. If a victim was actively clawing my face and resisting, I’d let go or push them away. Granted, being in water versus a bog are 2 different kinds of rescues, but a rescuer can easily turn into a victim in both scenarios.
Story 2: Don't you hate when people are so into their little worlds that they just don't follow rules and endanger themselves, and then get mad when someone saves them?
Like, yeah Karen just does not understand, and the kid needs to be with someone else. You don't threaten someone that saved your life
I firmly beleive that people who get mad when someone saves their kids hate them and want to watch them [GAME OVER].

For the record, kids with learning disabilities have to be of average or higher intelligence. They do know right from wrong. If the kid went left instead of right, that could be the disability. Hitting someone because you didn't get your own way is a parenting issue.

@@Kimberly-dt4ko My housemate sometimes confuses left from right and forget telling them which way is east and west.
It is hard, but it never stopped the Heelers. I'm not talking about Bandit and Chilli, I'm referring to Stripe and Trixie-parents of Muffin and Socks.
Yup, I used to help people... Until a false accusation nearly ruined my life. Now I just keep walking.
The thanks you get for helping people(!)
That kid’s biggest handicap is his mother, not his learning disability.
If the child had been arrested, the child would merely be in a place of safety, getting proper care, and the mother would be sitting with the assault charges instead. Legal guardian gets the charges, seeing as they are considered to be the one in control of the child.
@SeanBZA either way people need to stop with the BS excuses and using a learning disability as a form of excuse for bad behavior
"He doesn't know any better" is the world's best argument for institutionalization I've ever heard
@@wesleythomas7125 I am on the Spectrum, so I 100% understand. My mom was an enabler, but not to the degree in story 3.
@@wesleythomas7125Personally, I believe that as an excuse for bad parenting. Of course they don't know any better! It's your job to teach them!
I feel like in this type of situation, parents like her yelling “he doesn’t know any better!” is just a different pronunciation for “I’m a terrible parent!”
I will never believe in "the kid doesn't know better" because they absolutely do..
Story 2 - EM & ED probably just got deported with an invitation to never come back.
Lol fingers crossed!! Some people should never travel- for the sake of the WORLD!!😂😂
Probably, though the being deported with a ban from travel to that country will make the home country look hard at her behavior. Being deported for assault, child endangerment and such charges, with the trial proceeding being sent with the deportation order, she will very likely have her country CPS charging her as well, and removing the daughter from her custody, and the father would probably be also there to take the child away, to correct her behavior if possible.
Story 3: prisons are full of people with disabilities much more severe than a learning disability, it’s no excuse for violence.
Story 2: OP should've let Natural Selection do its job...

My thought exactly.
reminds me of a comment a friend made, about removing warning labels on everything.
More like Darwin ism
The problem is they were under his watch. So no matter how stupid they were their stupidity could have cost him his job if he didn't help them.
Story 3, it'd be wrong on so many levels to do but kid should have turned the bat on her for being a threat.
To the EMT story, if you're going to fight help meant to save your life then just start shopping for a nice cherry wood casket with a lining that's your favorite color.
Story 3, as someone with a learning disability I'm pissed at the mother, it's your job to teach your kid what's right and wrong
In story 1, even assuming (against all evidence to the contrary) that masks don't work, why's it matter to them? Oh, right, virtue signaling.
Story 2 - make mental institutions great again. The mental gymnastics at play here would make the Joke blush-
-sign up and pay to join a guided nature hike with your child
-ignore the guide and go off the trail with your child
-your child's life is directly endangered by your decision you leave the trail
-the guide steps in and saves your child's life by literally pulling her out of danger
-the whole incident is the guide's fault and they're a creep for touching your child? 🤔
Truly that mother is an unknowable enigma
The biggest learning difficulty children face is bad parenting. I have known multiple people who have multiple different learning disorders and they all understand the difference between right and wrong but unfortunately those who have bad parents have been taught that they can do anything without having to face the consequences of their actions. It doesn't take any intelligence or skills to become a parent but it does take intelligence and people skills to be a good parent.

You never know when Mama Karen is going to shout that you’re a predator for so much as glancing in her kid’s direction

as an autistic person myself you'd be amazed how common stories like Timmy are, letting them get away with things especially violent acts should be considered neglect, I personally had a school bully at junior school that was basically the "muscle" for bullies that pretended to be his friends, at middleschool I was assaulted in front of teachers and all they did was timidly ask the kid to stop, no suspension or anything, saw another kid chasing a girl afraid of clowns with a picture of one and teachers didn't step in until I stepped in and demanded he stop, at which point I was told off because he didn't know any better and they obviously had to tell him off too so this 12-13 year old was sobbing like a baby for being told he can't bully a 12-13 year old girl that was also special needs, in general when it comes to bullies when I have kids I'll teach them that if school doesn't stop a bully, stop them yourself

It should free up a lot more slots for rational people who haven’t decided to make an ideological belief into a ridiculous line in the sand.

when you are in dental or medical services, wearing a mask has been common for many years now.
Literally
Story 2 anyone else hearing Gene Wilder as Willy Wonka. “Don’t struggle or kick.” 🤣
I read that quote with the nonchalance he exhibits.
Story 1: say what you will about masks but I'm going anywhere near somebody coughing a weezing like a dying goose
Couldn't help but think of Veruca Salt with the daughter on hiking trip
A person of culture I see. I too make comparisons to _Charlie_ characters and Veruca Salt is a common one with Mike Teavee coming up second.
Guy in story 1 would probably go berserk over OP and his crew coming in with full firefighting gear trying to get him out of the burning house yelling “Take that off, masks don’t work”
Like hello this thing is keeping me from breathing in the smoke, thanks 😒
Story 2: Karen yelling how dare OP not warn her. No, lady. You WERE warned you just didn’t listen.
Just to let you know - you got a shout-out from Ripe today in one of his videos. (A poster mentioned that he listened to various people (including Ripe) and Ripe said that the poster should add you to his rotation!) When you're good enough that one of your competitors mentions you, you're GOOD!
I have a learning disability I woud never do something like that
Sorry 3: a great way to raise a psychopath, Karen
I dunno, maybe some lives aren't worth saving, man
