Peeping story. I had neighbors who would stare at my wife all the time. I started walking around naked 😂 it didn't take them long to quit peeping when they'd see my hairy ass and morning wood instead of creeping on a cute girl. 😂

Police should also have been called in that story the first time it happened.
Also, this happened to a friend of mine and he has twin boys, who hated wearing clothes when they were between the ages of 3 and 4. Because of this he would keep the front security blinds closed, and since the backyard was surrounded by an 8ft fence didnt worry much about keeping the curtains closed on the family room windows and sliding door to the patio. Well, he caught the neighbor, a 20-something man, peeking through the gap in the corner of the fence whenever the boys were outside playing so focused the camera he had set up over the pool area onto the gap and the moment he realized he could see them peeking he contact the police. Police turned up, he showed the footage after giving his statement, they went around to the guy's place, he of course denied it. However the guy had a distinctive tattoo which could be seen in the recording. On top of that, when they did their checks on him it turned out he was a registered sex offender away from his home address.

I actually had that happen to me.
My wife is Chinese, very attractive. The problem neighbor is in the apartment building next to ours. It’s a married couple with 2 kids.. the husband would watch my wife a lot during our 1st 4 years of marriage . Every time I see him, I’d walk around naked…
His wife complained to my wife:
Neighbor wife: tell your husband to put clothes on
My wife: tell your husband to stop watching me.. every day, every time he sees I’m home.
Neighbor wife: well your husband is naked.
My wife: yes, in our home!!! Your husband is in your home watching me In mine. Stop him and my husband will wear clothes 🤨
      She caught her husband…
Truth eventually came out that he was cheating on his wife…
She recently started seeing a guy… he watched my wife, I was nude again… 😆 ended that really fast..

I was growing out my grass as part of a local initiative where you sign up with the city and you won't get cited for overgrown lawns during the month of May, it's supposed to be good for plants and critters alike, and there is some maintenance required (especially in the front yard). Friendly neighbor mowed my lawn, I'm a disabled vet so they thought honestly they were helping, but the height of the grass was something I was proud of, and, that they had no experience mowing. I didn't yell at them, and we still cut each other's lawn from time to time, but when I told them what I was trying to do and showed them the dead patches where their mower ripped up the turf, they turned so red and were so apologetic. We're still loving neighbors because we didn't get angry, we talked like adults. They're good folks and we're lucky to have each other.

Got yelled at for mowing someones lawn before.
I worked for an elderly lady doing yard maintenance when i was 18.
The lady that lived next to her had an overgrown lawn and i cut it for her.
She came out threatening me with the police.
Next time i had to go cut the elderly lady's lawn, after i finished i was loading up my supplies and mower, the lady comes Back out on the porch and looks at her lawn. I thought she was inspecting to make sure i didn't cut it, but she yells at me " why didn't you cut my grass?"
The lady whose grass i did cut (who was in her mid 80's) was on her porch and she said and i quote "Get on back in your house you old bitch, you told her last time you were gonna call the cops. Get that useless son of yours out here to cut your damned lawn and leave her alone!"
I miss that lady. Rest in peace, miss Deborah, you made cutting grass and house maintenance interesting.

It is, but you'd have to contact the Post Marshall's office before the police. Calling the cops on your neighbor sets you up for long term problems if they aren't hauled off right away. While a mature discussion is best, if the neighbor is that loony I don't think that would have worked too well. OP didn't do a bad job of handling this one.

  • @19WolfGirl74
    @19WolfGirl74 18 дней назад +10

For the first story: here’s a fun little fact. Mailboxes and mail slots are not considered private property, they’re considered federal property no matter if it’s an office building or a residential home. If you damage them or use them for anything other than mail (specifically anything without properly paid for postage) it’s a crime. Not just a crime, but a felony offense punishable by a fine of up to $5k as an individual offender and $10k as an organization, but there have been cases where the fine is much higher. Especially if it’s considered malicious. And this was definitely malicious. That could potentially result in jail time. OP could have and should have gotten the police involved making an official report and reporting the incident to USPS.

    • @foogod4237
      @foogod4237 17 дней назад +3

Given the home situation, that kid probably needs therapy more than punishment. Living with parents who are drug addicts can put a huge amount of emotional stress on a child, and kids often aren't mature enough or mentally equipped to be able to really deal with that sort of thing in a rational way, and will end up acting out in all kinds of bizarre (and sometimes violent) ways just in a frantic attempt to deal with what's going on inside them and around them. Often they don't even have any real control over what they're doing, and couldn't stop even if they wanted to.
Hopefully now those kids might get out of that environment and get some of the help they actually need, and they'll have an opportunity to have a more normal and emotionally stable life, so that they won't have the need to do anything like that in the future...

When I first got married we lived in a maisonette (a two level apartment above half of a single level apartment, with another maisonette above the other half). Down below us as an elderly widow. Within a week of moving in she came to the door. It seemed she was hosting a "Bridge tournament" so would I please remain silent for the afternoon - from 2pm til 5pm - so they could focus. No tv, no radio, no talking, no walking around, definitely no use of noisy appliances, etc, etc! This happened twice a week. I tried to comply, not wanting the stress of an angry neighbour. Then she started complaining that I had been too noisy, doing things that disturbed her friends and interrupted their game. It wasn't me. And I kept telling her that to ensure she had quiet I was either OUT for the afternoon or on the top floor, doing things that made little or no sound. It turned out that I was being blamed for activity three maisonettes over, the sound from which travelled along the cavity wall spaces but had she had noise in her apartment, would never have been noticed. I got the blame for the sound of CHILDREN playing - I had no children and being new to the area, knew no-one with children!

Ok the first story was glorious 🙌. Reminded me of my crazy aunt. Don't mess with short firey red heads. She had neighbors that have horses and they ride them on a trail that goes behind her house. So they have to ride the horses through her back yard to access the trail. They don't clean any poop that their horses leave behind. My aunt confronted them nicely first and said she didn't mind them going through the yard but to please pick that up if it happens. Animals will be animals after all lol. But after repeated issues and the neighbors daring her to something about it.....she saved a 5gallon bucket full of their horse poop. Went and rang their doorbell. Then tossed it all over them when they answered. Long story short my aunt won (got stabbed with a small pocket knife) but she still beat the hell outta the neighbors wife. My uncle and the neighbors husband just stood and watched. They knew not to get imbovled. And the neighbors don't ride horses through her yard anymore.

The guy worked graveyard, so us tenants were always left to deal with them, and many calls to the police about 'disturbing the peace'. Finally, one night, I had enough when she was screaming at her BF again that I confronted them, armed with a baseball bat. Her BF claimed he had a gun, but I was in IDGAF mode. Luckily other tenants backed me up. The next day, the building manager, a sweet older lady who I was on good terms with, called and asked me what happened. I told her, and since I was actually moving out (my lease was expiring at the end of that week), she took my side, and she told the guy that his daughter needed to move out, else she'd terminate his lease. The daughter was sent back to her mother, so I like to think I helped brought peace back to that apartment building.

Last story: This lady’s behavior is pretty common for early stages of dementia. Paranoia sets in as the brain structure changes and causes all kinds of acoustic or visual hallucinations. From tiny blinking lights the neighbors seem to shine into their rooms all the way to hearing the neighbor’s voice commenting on newspaper articles they are reading. Losing one’s mind like this is horrible. 😢

Last story sounded similar to my time in the apartment I use to live in. We didn't call the police, however she did. However, she did it a step further. She made a sign saying to keep the noise down making sure it was from management and trying to get people to side with her to stop people from the noise, however it backfired on her. Management reprimanded her. If she didn't stop, she would have been evicted. However, we moved and don't know if she got evicted or not.

Story 2 - my parents have that kind of luck. About 30 years ago, we moved to MD from CA. The next door neighbor was a suspected drug dealer. Years later, he was suspected of killing his wife. They used to argue really loud.
We moved to WV 6 years ago and out neighbor WAS a drug dealer. I asked, "can't you guys move somewhere NORMAL?!", to which my mom said "No". Dad picked both houses, so it's his fault we lived next to weirdos. He also always knows what's going on in the neighborhood, mostly before almost everyone else.
Their new neighbors, the ones who are now living in the cleaned up drug house, are very nice.
I figured things were back to normal, when something happened you only read in the news and don't think can happen in your neighborhood. A couple of weeks ago, the neighbor across from them, had cops and a coroner at the house. Ots q very small cul de sac, so you don't have to go outside to see who's there. No news. A few days after, the neighbors on the other side of their house (we're friends) came to tell my dad what happened. The coroner was for a 3 year old. He somehow found a loaded gun andqnaged to shoot himself.

Locks can be “fixed” with a small piece of paper that is soaked, wadded and shoved into the key hole. It can take 15-30 minutes to figure out the problem and then fish paper out. Putting super glue on the paper instead of water makes it even harder to get out.

The last story reminds me of the neighbor upstairs. When I moved back in with my mom because she couldn't live alone anymore, he was super friendly at first. But after like 6 months he suddenly started to complain to the landlord nonstop about us being noisy. He claimed we were moving furniture at night etc. and he was really crazy about it. One evening, it was like 11PM, I was just sitting in my chair at my PC and didn't even move, my rats were making a little bit of noise in their cage but nothing big and he suddenly started banging on the floor like we were throwing a party lmao. We had to get a lawyer involved cause we got threats from the landlord to get evicted cause of his constant complaining. Funny enough he said "oh it all started when he moved in at that month" but I moved in like 4 months before that and he had no issues.

The last story. I think instead of imposing all these restrictions on residents they should buy some foam board insulation and lay down vapor barrier and place the foam board down all over the apartments, and floring on top of it. Then add some trim. The most complicated part will be the bathroom, but they can reinstall the toilet lifted up an inch on top of the new flooring. Trim and caulk can hide a lot too. This way residents have a more peaceful living environment. I actually think concrete floors, vapor barrier, and foam board she be standard practice in all nee and remodeled apartments. It will save a lot of calls to the landlord and authorities. Plus it will prevent air transfers from apartment to apartment. My downstairs neighbor smokes. And I have to oeep an air purifier going, snd an exhaust fan 24/7 or my apartment smells like a cheap motel room. And yes I am a clean person, but I can't prevent the smell transfers from my neighbors. Whenever I know in advance I will have company I always light a candle beforehand too.
When I looked at my apartment they promised they would change the carpets because the person who lived her before me had a dog they let use the floor as it's toilet. And it smelled like fresh paint. I didn't think it would be a problem. But they just shampooed the carpets and it smelled like soap and pee when I moved in. I had to rent a carpet cleaner and I cleaned all the carpets with a vinegar and dalt solution and ran it a few times to make sure I got all the soap residue out of the carpets because ot only feeds the bacteria that causes the smell. Now the only places that smells like pee is in my dinning room where the dog lifted it's leg and peed on the wall and they just painted over it without disinfecting it first. And yes when I take a picture of those walls it shows clear round places on the wall under the paint where the pee is. They didn't even cover the yellow that well.
