As someone who isn't good at most games. I still just say get good. I know I won't be able to but come on if you're gonna complain about it, just get good then.
I’m level 277 and I thought I was in a good spot for the DLC but I was wrong😂. So far all the bosses I’ve fought seem to be around the caliber of Malenia and Maliketh. This all stems from the fact that these new bosses have massive health pools, long combo streams, and on top of that they don’t seem to be as susceptible to bleed, frost, and whatever else I’ve been throwing at them unlike the bosses outside of the dlc. Prior to this I kept playing with people online to help as many people get through Malenia as possible and to also help take off some rust I may have had from being away from the game for about a year. I even met “Let me Solo her” during this and I didn’t believe it was him till dood actually solo’ed her😂. But regardless of how much prep I’ve put in, the only thing that’s been getting me through these bosses and staying sane is being able to stay as calm as possible whenever I’m getting pressured by em. This is something I worked on while fighting Malenia over and over again. And while I think some nerfs might happen in the future, I’d just appreciate the devs just fixing how buggy the game feels after I downloaded the DLC cause some bosses lag mid fight making it just that much more egregious to beet them. Shit is not sweet people so if you want to even stand a chance against some of these bosses get stronger and bring your A game. I wish y’all the best🫡
Yea I can definitely see what you mean about the rage thing. I've been frequently talking in vc's with my friends while we all play through the dlcs, and they've been going mentally insane with their rage💀 while I've just been laughing, and enjoying myself in my struggle. I use to have similar issues as them, where I'd just rage about getting my ass kicked, but the souls games got me to stop with that, and it makes the games alot more enjoyable as a result.
I’m almost done with the dlc as a melee build. It’s been tough but definitely fun! I personally haven’t experienced any bugs (aside from a visual glitch in some catacomb 😂) -so good luck guys, the victories are definitely achievable!
Go get more fragments the get the 5% dmg increase I already was up to +6 or +7 I thought she was to easy same with messmir I was at +10 he felt like he shoulda been harder
Gl brother u prolly need to watch ur NPC fight the boss a little bit more, that’s how I played it…let ur NPC fight and die first, make sure u live through the different stages and practice dodging her abilities😊
To be honest most of the negative reviews I’ve seen are about performance rather than difficulty. Admittedly I haven’t had too many issues but it does run noteably worse than it did before installing the DLC. I think that’s something understandable to be upset about.
I’m on pc personally. Was a huge defender of performance before the update… but ever since Iv had way more problems then Iv ever had before, it’s almost unplayable. Consistent frame drops, complete game freezes on large attacks, stutters, pop in. Didn’t feel like it should’ve shipped in that state tbh. Don’t want to feel left out but don’t want to deal with the performance
youv put 16 hrs into the dlc area? I'd be genuinely surprised to hear youv had zero issues, especially with how consistently the fire golems create technical problems for me when they do their attacks, and thats just one enemy/situation
My take on this situation: I’m a new gen souls player, I’ve only played er, a little bit of sekiro and bb, but mainly er, when playing through the base game, I always thought it was too easy (barring malenia) so the MASSIVE difficulty spike on this dlc has made me VERY happy. All of these “hardcore” souls players complaining that the dlc is too hard fail to see Miyazaki’s dream in making a truly difficult game, and in general are starting to piss me off, there is a reason that the souls communities main quote is “Git Gud”. I’ve just beat the final boss recently (at least 20x harder than malenia) and I still have 16-17 more runs with new weapons and incantations that I still want to do, beating all of base game and all of the dlc in every run. I also look forward to playing sekiro later, as I’ve heard that the game is very hard, so wish me luck that it doesn’t disappoint (: Edit: when I say final boss I mean the final boss of the dlc, not radabeast, they were a pushover
Lemme get this straight. Ppl are complaining about a game series which is known for its difficulty, and known for its dlcs to be even harder. Their complaining abt it being to hard? 🤦♂️ we really have some dense ppl on this earth.
I remember walking through Ringed City getting kicked in the teeth by something waiting around every other corner. From’s DLCs gave always been harder because they’re designed for high level builds and don’t want to be a cake walk.
Okay so I haven’t played the dlc but I feel that people are complaining about the dlc is because it’s hard BUT not fair witch was one of my biggest complaints in the base game (I’ve beaten it over 4 times ) . Because the other games were better balanced for 1 on 1 encounters then Elden ring because it has summons , which isn’t to say that it’s impossible to beat them with out summons but just not as fun because of it . They tried to make the game better for new players which I really appreciate and just because you used summons doesn’t mean you’re bad but it costed the 1 on 1 smooth gameplay we all know and love
I honestly found the opposite with the dlc. I found the bosses in the base game to be unreasonably difficult to dodge and moves like the waterfowl dance just feel like they have too much luck involved. Having just finished the dlc I actually felt like it fixed this for most of the bosses (with an exception or two.) They felt closer to dark souls 3 than they did the base game in lots of ways.
Elden ring feels different because it is open world. Because you can branch out and do different bosses at different stages people have vastly different experiences with them. Now overlevelling and what not has always been a thing, but with the other linear games it is much easier to cultivate a very specific kind of experience. But yes, a lot of the fights in Elden ring are designed with summons in mind, which is why I find it hilarious that people act like it is cheating if you use them. In the DLC area I have just barely done anything and I have 5 Revered Ash Blessings which bolster summons, and only 2 scadutree blessings that bolster the player stats. I think it's pretty obvious they want people to utilise the summon system...
Dude just don't use summons. They are an optional feature. If you want you can have the one on one thingy. If there wasn't a summon I would not gotten past margit. I beat Sekiro by the way.
Its tough, but its always been managable. If yer really struggling with the bosses, help others do them. Use the spirit ashes. Tische makes every boss easy still haha. Also some of the DLC bosses are very tough. But nothing it's even close too Malenia or Maliketh so far.
@@birthebird4154 I have fought her. Shes pretty early in the DLC I think. Shes tough, but she aint no Malenia. Cool as hell tho. Im pretty far in, and have two bosses available to fight. Just waiting for friends to catch up.
I'm not even good at Elden Ring but with a mimic tear, Relanna is free, Messmer takes a couple hours, and Radahn takes a couple days... don't complain that the bosses are hard when there's literally methods right in front of you to make them trivial.
Honestly the only reason why i don't "like" the dlc(or a part of it idk how to say it) is bc i only get to hit the bosses one time and that doesn't fit my play style i like to atleast do one combo and then the boss can do what ever he wants, this for me makes the fights boring and long but aside from that the dlc is really good it feels like im playing a sequel.
@@jacobswisher6714 you have to hit their legs repeatedly and then repost them when they fall usually you need to do it twice it takes awhile but they will eventually fall down
It should be challenging, not hard. Hard just means the game is poorly designed and not balanced properly. The devs could just put you in a room full of mobs that insta kill you and are unkillable and that would be hard. Dark Souls is not hard, punishing and challenging yes, but not hard.
I adore it, both base game and dlc are perfect and greatly made with obvious passion. I do believe the last boss of the dlc needs some slight adjustments though.
I have played it and beaten it, I'm a souls veteran but I still stand by it that the final boss is hardest boss in any souls game I have played. I do not like the final boss but I appreciate it's existence.
My problem isn’t that it’s difficult, it’s why it is difficult. The difficulty doesn’t really come from bosses attack patterns but how much damage the bosses do per hit. When I die I feel cheated rather than beaten like I did in the base game. The difficulty feels kinda artificial instead of a genuine challenge.
We've had this coming for a while by saying that elden ring is the easiest souls game and the devs listened to us and with one single dlc made it from the easiest game to the Hardest souls game just because we complained it was to easy and now people are complaining it's to hard. 😂😂
The newer souls community is a joke. The Vets like myself took a looooong ass time to defeat the dlc. Some bosses i defeated in 1 try. some took me 137 tries XD and the DLC is not "way too hard". People should say "They take too much skill" instead XDDD
I mean whoever is complaining just must have a skill issue because within 1 day of owning the dlc I beat every boss (most of them I beat with my first attempt except for Mesmer and Radahn)
I think there are balance issues caused by the way they implemented the Scerdtree seeds. It”levels up” but it is hard to see the impact unless you jump two or three tiers rapidly and go back an area.
Im a few hours into the dlc. Just took down the Dancing Lion boss in Belurat. Im not trying to rush through the dlc, so im keeping pace with the difficulty creeping as im exploring. Im really enjoying the difficulty, its unforgiving but so satisfying when you finally make it. I ended the base game as a juggernaut, so having this difficulty spike makes for some fun and intense moments.
Just finished the dlc, was quite challanging, but very doable. Any time i got stuck on a boss i went out to explore and level up the Fragments. That in combo with changing up the build to counter certain bosses was the key to not getting stuck for me. Also Npc summon help.
I find with the TLC you have to be very strategic as to where you’re going who you’re fighting and what build you’re using. I found myself switching builds at least twice so far just to experiment with the new weapons, and some are more effective on bosses than others. Every major boss in this DLC is like margit, if you can’t beat it, you’re not ready and you should do some more exploring and leveling before you come back.
The hardest thing about the dlc is that i was lost asf 24/7 like bro i wanted to fight mesmer but instead i fought every possible boss in the dlc before i found him.
This dlx broke up my friend group. We all havnt played together since ds2, and were all looking forward to jolly cooperation. Well two of them took thendlc challenge really seriously, then 2 days in screamed bloody muder amd everyone stopped playing till last night, and now we are all at different points. Its very strange because everyone wanted AND expected the dlc to be hard.
I just noticed they had the Dragonslayer inspired sword being used against the dragon. Yeah, it's difficult, but I think it's just the amount of damage you take, not much else. Not being able to do anything except dodge for 10 boss combos in a row sucks, but that's par for the course in Fromsoft games. But the everything else in this game level DLC makes it truly 10/10: boss designs, environments, music, combat, weapons, story and lore. It's a masterpiece.
The only issue assied from a skill one is my frame rate dropping when i pass under a waterfall. Aside from this, DLC has brought back what I most adored from Elden Ring. The feeling of that very 1st time I booted the game up and played. My character is lvl 312(NG+3), and I'm getting smacked left and right. Exploring spots on the map leads to more things and finding other things, and OH, MY GOD, I'm in love all over again. ❤❤❤ Edit: I have 2 other characters cooking as well. Dex Faith flame monk and a Dex Int Knight. Rellana has the perfect set for what I'm looking for in my Dex Int build.
it's definitely hard going into it with the stat debuffs, but once you get the hang of it and gather scaudtree fragments, it's quite enjoyable and very worth how much you pay for it
So I finished the dlcs Final boss 2 days after release, for spoiler reasons I will not say their name if you somehow don't know who they are yet, and yes I used spirit summons. These summons along with the Scadutree Blessings only exist to help you in progression. I am hardly an above average gamer and I suck ass at elden ring, but I managed to do the dlc, in a brand new Ng save file, using means available to me, in under 72 hrs. I am now currently working on my summonless run and am in the progress of fighting Messmer. It's hard but doable. I dont see the issue, you play the game for it to be hard and they delivered
It uses a Sekiro leveling system. Which is honestly really smart, considering players had two years to grind their character. I'm having tons of fun. The new weapons and ashes of war are so cool.
The only boss I would complain about being unreasonably hard is redahn, u shouldn’t have to change you build to a full tank to able to beat the final boss
During the first lion boss, I originally thought it was a bit unbalanced. After playing a lot more and reaching the final boss, I can say with full certainty that it is completely balanced. Some of the first bosses are pretty difficult, but once you collect a significant amount of scadutree fragments it gets much easier. I haven’t played many souls games and the longest one boss in the dlc took me was about 20 tries so far
The one thing i do find difficult but have managed to overcome, is the fact that some bosses are charging you instantly after you have entered the arena... Specifically, the commander guy riding the pig, the daragon on top of the mountain and the stupid sunflower haha... Love the dlc though. ❤
my only complaint is boss healthpool's compared to damage output. sure you can use something like bloodfiends arm or lightning perfume bottle + rolling sparks which completely trivializes the game but nearly everything else feels like cutting down an oak tree with a butterknife. wish there was more of a bridge between "world ending pocket nuke" damage and "inflatable pool noodle" damage
I haven’t had time to fully grind the dlc but I am taking my time exploring the land of shadows. I am currently fighting Rellanna and she is taking me quite a while. Through my little time with the dlc it is clear that it is a huge step up in difficulty. While I love the challenge and am enjoying learning new bosses/playstyle I get that others aren’t. But I think the reason the dlc appears so hard is that in my opinion it does not play like Elden Ring. It plays much faster as enemies are much more aggressive and relentless. They rarely give you an opening to comfortably heal and regroup. I had to completely change my build to keep up with Rellanna’s speed 😂😂. If anyone has any tips I’m all ears lol. Good luck fellow Tarnished.
The dlc is perfectly balanced so long as you properly explore and search for blessing fragments. I haven't really struggled, and i have cleared two legacy dungeons at blessing level 4. It wasn't even that difficult to do either, no more than 4 attempts per big boss and 2 or 3 on most minibosses. I have since aquired many more levels into my blessing now as i started to hunt for them after the second dungeon to see what difference it would make on my experience, and out side of going from a death in 2 hits to a death in 4-5 with a seemingly low damage increase as enemies just seem to gain a bit more hp as you yourself get stronger
The only thing with the dlc u need REALLY good builds and mostly looking at what the bosses are weak at helps alot like messmer is weak to bleed and lighting im pretty sure and the new items look amazing
Ng6+ first time doing dlc with lev 200 character with main dex (low arcane, no incantations or sorceries) its hard as you want it to be, i didnt even figure the scudu frag were useful till after rellana and dancer) TLDR = hard but fun, the jackel snipers have taught me well
My only complaint personally are the those red Mesmer nights like nah the there’s is no time to attack you always have to trade because of that fire ball attack
I only had real trouble with two bosses and the most tries I needed for one of them is 7 total. Now, this is not meant to make me look "super good" at the game, I think calling myself average or slightly above is more accurate. But what I was, when entering the DLC, was well exercised. I started a whole new playthrough before Shadow of the Erdtree and I kinda impressed myself by crushing some bosses that always used to wipe the floor with me. I play these games for the learning curve and the DLC provided a fantastic one for me, personally.
The Shadow Blessing items make the DLC worth exploring. Any character weak or strong will feel helpless at the beginning of the dlc but after acquiring only a few of the blessing lvls u can feel the difference. To me u dont have to acquire all of them but its worth doing so. I feel its a good combination for a dlc because u now have a reason to explore and it rewards you quite well. Most challenging DLC in any of the souls games though. 10/10 DLC
I would say the enemies definitely have a massive amount hp but it's just an extra form of challenge just takes 5 years to kill a lot of enemies so you have to learn pattery
I just finished rellana the twin knight solo with my dagger +25, im starting to get really good at beating her so much so i might try naked with a wooden club.
These bosses have been kicking my ass. I don't have the patience to beat every single one solo, but that doesn't stop me from having an unbelievable amount of fun with this DLC.
I'm at the last boss at the moment and I'm one foot in the "too hard" camp. Not because I don't enjoy a good challenge, but because of the way these bosses are "challenging" me. Fromsoft games always been hard but fair, when you died, you could always tell what went wrong and from there come up with a counter. Combos were at a reasonable length and with clearcut punish windows. Many bosses in the DLC are so bloody fast with incredibly long combo and so many effects blocking your view, that you're just left there thinking "what the pickle am I supposed to do about that?!". It's by no means all the bosses, there's a few pushovers in there and I really enjoyed the madness boss. My main issue with the DLC is that it doesn't bring me the same sense of accomplishment when I kill a boss. Because of how incredibly fast and aggressive they are, the way they shorten and lengthen some combos to punish you for taking a punish window. It all just adds up to ruining my sense of accomplishment, it's no longer enough to Gid Gud, you also need to get lucky. A kill doesn't feel like you actually outplayed and outmatched the boss, it feels like you learned about half of the combos, panic rolled the rest and got lucky that one time. Killing a boss only brings me a feeling of relief that it's done, not a feeling of accomplishment that I did it. And the world feels utterly empty, yes there are permanent stat upgrades out there to encourage exploration, but that's about it. Because the DLC is set at the end of the first game, you'll already have plenty of upgrade materials and let's be honest, the crafting materials are as good as useless. There's hardly anything to find out there, sometimes literally, great swaths of the world utterly empty. I've 500+ hours in the base game but I don't think I'll replay the DLC and it's a crying shame as I was looking forward to it.
What most people didn't understand about this DLC is that its a new equation. ER is a solved math problem by now and as long as you get your build right all is well. Unlike most other DLC in the series however, this doesn't present the same math problem with different variables, it presents a completely new math problem that players need to solve and the known solution does not apply. Here's a tip for anyone starting out: if in the base game an enemy had 50% magic resistance and 0% fire resistance with 1000hp, in this DLC that enemy has 2000hp and 70% magic resistance but still 0% fire resistance while you get to upgrade your blessing to do a lot more damage. So you need to adapt and use the right tool for the job. its no coincidence that the DLC throws a bunch of ancient dragon stones at you so you can upgrade more weapons.
I think the problem is people don’t have strong builds that tailor to their playstyle. A lotta people just stick with what they see other people using even though it’s not what they feel like they should be doing. Playing the game how you want to play it is the best way to ensure you beating the bosses. I’m a guy who loves maxing out his damage with a great sword and hey, I’ve beaten Mesmer in less than an hour
it is hard sometimes annoyingly hard but it’s nice knowing i get to fight completely new and cool bosses and not have the opportunity or temptation to melt them with bleed it’s really fun in my opinion
Ive spent a total of 29 hours already on the dlc and im almost done, the only two bosses that, so far, have taken most of that time has been Rellana and Messmer, and they both were perfect
One of my best friends is from France. She’s always sending me TikToks about people saying they’re going to shit in the sein. It’s not a joke. The people of France absolutely hate the fact that the Olympics are being held there.
I've been playing elden ring for 2 years or so now and I'm on NG+8 at level 340 and ngl this dlc on new game plus is insanely hard but I've been waiting for a challenge and the bosses except the first one are hard so my opinion this makes it way funner
I've played the dlc since the first hour it dropped, yeah its some of the hardest souls content ive ever played but its so SO rewarding when i do manage to beat a boss that i found hard.
I just started playing the game, I’ve actually figured some stuff out and got pretty ok at fighting, I killed a guy that randomly spawned in so I think it was another player but I’m not sure, I just fought a random boss and got a cool sword, I’m grinding to meet the standards to really use it
as some one who beat every single boss in the new dlc I can safely say that it is difficult but not impossible tweak ur build if you need to for the fights.. also messmer and radan are way way to agressive for my reflexes anymore.. great sheild and bleed spear saved the day a few too many times..
As someone who played the dlc myself I don't believe people are necessarily complaining about the difficulty but rather the bosses feel unfair. In other fromsoft games bosses have telegraphed attacks, thus when you die you feel like it was your fault for not dodging the attack correctly. On the other hand bosses like Commander Gaius in the dlc have janky hit boxes(especially the dash attack),unending combo strings that don't give you nearly enough time to heal and fast attacks that you don't see coming. All these combined makes for an unfair boss fight, which is most likely why it has mixed reviews.
My take on the DLC chatter is the people that are saying it's too hard are the ones that are trying to brute force and rush through it. Fromsoftware literally put scatertree fragments around the map for the players to find while exploring. When these people are just rushing to the main bosses left and right they aren't collecting many of these things necessary to become more powerful in the shadow realm, thus making these bosses that they're rushing times much, much harder. I feel like if you take the time to explore and travel around the map you'll really do just fine. Even though the bosses i've went through so far are the hardest bosses i've ever encountered in any souls game, their movesets can be eventually learned and they are very visually appealing bosses when they do eventually learn the movesets.
I played the dlc, killed every boss, Renalla, Mesmer, that pink Scorpio, the flower/tree, bayle the dragon, commander guya? The one on the hog behind black castle, frenzy flame guy and other. but radhan is my last one left, which I aim to kill in the next 2 days of grinding him
It's because they went into it on ng+ that means they missed a whole playthrough of scadutree blessings. They should have made it clear not to do that. Other than that I'm having a great time with a lvl 150 character getting scadutree blessings and leveling normally as I go. I did notice my faith strength character is breezing through while my int dex character is hitting walls a lot more at the same level.
It is VERY hard, but not impossible. But to get everything, you have to be in the comments or checking lore videos & walkthroughs for sure if you are trying to make it even for the casual player. Summons & switching up your talismans to fit the boss fights & areas helps a lot if you can't find all tree fragmants.
I played through a large part of shadow of the erdtree. Im a sorcerer so give me shit if you want but I've done pretty well against all of the bosses ive been through. I lost my the use of my thumb so i play claw on my left hand to move. I don't consider myself a good souls player but I've only struggled against one of the dlc bosses so far and that was that stupid flower boss. I got through messmer, the chaos guy, the centipede and a few others. I feel that this dlc is amazing and if you're struggling then its possible that you're overpowered build that you might have used to cheese the bosses previously needs reworking and in fhat case, its not a problem to redo it. There are a lot of amazing weapons in the dlc and if you're really struggling, find and search for more fragments before continuing. My stats are Vig 60 Mind 50 Endurance 30 Intelligence 80 Im doing just fine.
dlc has always been the hardest part of every souls game, tf are they expecting
It's not hard it's just poorly designed bosses. All the other games also had "hard" bosses but no one complained.

But a PS5.
@@thally4061fr😂😂
@@Tonypollyolyit’s perfect on X box series X. I’ve put in 16 hours and haven’t had a single skip or freeze frame yet.
youv put 16 hrs into the dlc area?
I also look forward to playing sekiro later, as I’ve heard that the game is very hard, so wish me luck that it doesn’t disappoint (:
Edit: when I say final boss I mean the final boss of the dlc, not radabeast, they were a pushover
Lemme get this straight. Ppl are complaining about a game series which is known for its difficulty, and known for its dlcs to be even harder. Their complaining abt it being to hard? 🤦♂️ we really have some dense ppl on this earth.
This makes me want to play it more, just got to wait till pay day.

They saved the best cinematics for this dlc. It's definitely worth the money, regardless of how hard it is
I remember walking through Ringed City getting kicked in the teeth by something waiting around every other corner. From’s DLCs gave always been harder because they’re designed for high level builds and don’t want to be a cake walk.
Grinding to get max level blessing was the best. Shit feels way better
Having just finished the dlc I actually felt like it fixed this for most of the bosses (with an exception or two.) They felt closer to dark souls 3 than they did the base game in lots of ways.
there are already runs with summons only, how can it be too hard if bosses can be anihilated by summons?
U do know the other souls games have summons as well just not ash summons they have NPC summons
Its tough, but its always been managable. If yer really struggling with the bosses, help others do them. Use the spirit ashes. Tische makes every boss easy still haha. Also some of the DLC bosses are very tough. But nothing it's even close too Malenia or Maliketh so far.
Rellana, twin moon knight: allow me to introduce myself
You fight messmer yet?
Someone hasn’t met rellana yet it seems.
@@birthebird4154 I have fought her. Shes pretty early in the DLC I think. Shes tough, but she aint no Malenia. Cool as hell tho. Im pretty far in, and have two bosses available to fight. Just waiting for friends to catch up.
@@rrarn-jk3ov Havent but im excited to.
"Elden ring is too easy!!!"
and now
"Shadow of the Erdtree is too hard!!!"
WHAT DO YOU PEOPLE WANT?
I started on NG+6 after being away for a year and got curbed stopped by the first boss
NG +1 and Im gearing up for the fun
It's a mistake to start on a high ng+ ngl (learned the hard way)
I'm on ng+4 and I'm on the final boss and still can't to do any damage to the bonfire giants 😅
@@jacobswisher6714 you have to hit their legs repeatedly and then repost them when they fall usually you need to do it twice it takes awhile but they will eventually fall down
Good, it should be hard. You have to get through Radahn and Mohg to even get there lmao
It should be challenging, not hard. Hard just means the game is poorly designed and not balanced properly. The devs could just put you in a room full of mobs that insta kill you and are unkillable and that would be hard. Dark Souls is not hard, punishing and challenging yes, but not hard.
you hafnt playd it i think its to hard
@asd-ik5er I'm on NG+1 and everything is too easy. It'll be nice to get the dlc and have a challenge again.
@@AKOverkill play it^^ then you see its not so fun as you think
Idiots still be idiots...its diffrends in hard and really bad designed...git gud
Being Too Hard is a selling point
I’ve resorted to summon spamming, at this point I couldn’t imagine doing the bosses normally
I haven’t had much time to play, but that dancing lion guy was a difficult fight
Impenetrable thorns: AM I A JOKE TO YOU?!
The bug saint was a damn nightmare for me ( around 5-6 hours )
Blood and Wine "killer" I heard XDDDDDD

Edit: I have 2 other characters cooking as well. Dex Faith flame monk and a Dex Int Knight. Rellana has the perfect set for what I'm looking for in my Dex Int build.
Bayle is so cool tho I mean it’s a rough fight but seeing that second phase for the first time took me back to the first time I saw placidusaxs nuke
it's definitely hard going into it with the stat debuffs, but once you get the hang of it and gather scaudtree fragments, it's quite enjoyable and very worth how much you pay for it
So I finished the dlcs Final boss 2 days after release, for spoiler reasons I will not say their name if you somehow don't know who they are yet, and yes I used spirit summons.
IS IT JUST ME OR WHENEVER I GO INTO A FRICKEN ROOM WITH A SPIDER MY GAME GOES TO 1 FRAME PER A SEC
Same thing happened with me but in the main game not the dlc. (On console) it just stuttered until I went back to the round table
It uses a Sekiro leveling system. Which is honestly really smart, considering players had two years to grind their character. I'm having tons of fun. The new weapons and ashes of war are so cool.
Got all bosses in 2 days however there was a lot of build crafting that had to be done for bosses some playstyles will heavily struggle in this dlc
Me a level 150 character with the bloodhound fang and somehow breezing through the entire thing😅
The only boss I would complain about being unreasonably hard is redahn, u shouldn’t have to change you build to a full tank to able to beat the final boss
You don't have to, just have to git gud
I love it and I feel it’s the perfect mix between smashing everything on my desk and being genuinely happy when I beat the boss
They changed my settings from performance to quality and noticed it fixes in performance mode
This dlc play out quite well for me, most boss have certain weakness can be overcome. The only struggle i have is porcupine hippo
Every time I think of the dlc I just hear the Homelander it’s perfect meme replay over and over in my head
The only thing with the dlc u need REALLY good builds and mostly looking at what the bosses are weak at helps alot like messmer is weak to bleed and lighting im pretty sure and the new items look amazing
Ng6+ first time doing dlc with lev 200 character with main dex (low arcane, no incantations or sorceries) its hard as you want it to be, i didnt even figure the scudu frag were useful till after rellana and dancer)
TLDR = hard but fun, the jackel snipers have taught me well
My only complaint personally are the those red Mesmer nights like nah the there’s is no time to attack you always have to trade because of that fire ball attack
I play these games for the learning curve and the DLC provided a fantastic one for me, personally.
it took even players like Gino and other Speedrun/Challengerun Players several tries to get those Bosses and people expect them to be easy
10/10 DLC
I think its absolutely phenomenal but i have 2 issues. The frame rate drops for giant attacks and the final boss being unfairly difficult at times
I would say the enemies definitely have a massive amount hp but it's just an extra form of challenge just takes 5 years to kill a lot of enemies so you have to learn pattery
The difficulty difference between the regular mobs and the bosses is gigantic compared to vanilla.
They made the summons to be used, they have obviously designed certain encounters expecting summons to be used against them.
It’s hard but fun when u finally beat a boss who has kicked your ass a bunch it feels rewarding
Played it and finished it. Currently working through my next NG+ to play it again.
Scaturdtree blessingd id a thing for a reason
This is like asking for ice water then saying its too cold 😂
Its so hard i just go back to the regular world and play but i got all the spells and stuff i wanted from the game that's all i needed
I've been playing elden ring for 2 years or so now and I'm on NG+8 at level 340 and ngl this dlc on new game plus is insanely hard but I've been waiting for a challenge and the bosses except the first one are hard so my opinion this makes it way funner
Bro I'm one Ng+3 and there not even doing a fifth of my hp bar
And i just watched some dude with a lvl 1 nude char with starfists for hands beat the boss no hit. Its crazy.
I've played the dlc since the first hour it dropped, yeah its some of the hardest souls content ive ever played but its so SO rewarding when i do manage to beat a boss that i found hard.
I just started playing the game, I’ve actually figured some stuff out and got pretty ok at fighting, I killed a guy that randomly spawned in so I think it was another player but I’m not sure, I just fought a random boss and got a cool sword, I’m grinding to meet the standards to really use it
Me, somehow clapping the whole dlc using, of all things, the Gargoyle Greatsword, the Erdtree Bow and beast magic.
My problem is concentrating long enough on game
I only had issues with the final boss.
I did eventually win but i used cheap strategies and felt empty for it but that boss was so god damn hard.
as some one who beat every single boss in the new dlc I can safely say that it is difficult but not impossible tweak ur build if you need to for the fights.. also messmer and radan are way way to agressive for my reflexes anymore.. great sheild and bleed spear saved the day a few too many times..
Him: of course you're not going to be wrecking these bosses in 48 hour
Me: ... Well I actually, nevermind doesn't matter
Which is it, you want a challenge or not?
I played the dlc, killed every boss, Renalla, Mesmer, that pink Scorpio, the flower/tree, bayle the dragon, commander guya? The one on the hog behind black castle, frenzy flame guy and other. but radhan is my last one left, which I aim to kill in the next 2 days of grinding him
I'd say the dlc is about the same level of difficulty with summons, as the base game without summoning spirits
I love the challenge. Will i get frustrated? Sure! However, that sweet victory when I finally win is the best.
My stats are
Vig 60
Mind 50
Endurance 30
Intelligence 80
Im doing just fine.
It makes it feel like I just started. Such a good DLC bro.
