I remember exiting their room and the guy outside said “See you later, Tenno.” I was actually moved that I was acknowledged by an npc you can’t interact with
I like that feature to. Kind of showing the Veil actually gives a shit compared to the Arbiters of Hexus. Give it that might be do to the fact that everyone except for Meridian fucking hates me.
As a red veil member it really is just demonic screeching, head banging, rock music, people in red spandex’s and looking at enemies (mostly infested) that are stuck
It is also interesting that those who go to the void go crazy if they aren’t pure or empty. That is why Tenno children had powers from the void because they were pure but if the Veil has a HQ in the void and they aren’t going crazy and killing each other then that would mean they are pure or empty in some way
Excellent explanation. It urks me when someone doesn't see the connection between the religious and political ideaologies of the Red Veil. When the players first meet them, the Veil are entirely political - because of course a cult will focus on their most agreeable aspects according to whom they talk to. It's only when you get directly involved with the Red Veil that they show their mysticism and let you into their inner circle. Now I can't wait for a video about The Indifference/MitW. Now THAT is an intriguing character.
Very much agree - the inner cult influences their culture etc and the way in which they behave. But they have also embraced a wider set of ideologies and a mission that will appeal to a great many.
Just found your channel, gotta say I'm really impressed by the insight and careful analysis of even small details. All your videos make excellent cases, very hard to find fault. Keep it up :)
The Chains of Harrow quest was enough to make me eventually get max standing with the Red Veil. Yeah, they're a bunch of edgy cultists, but that quest kinda showed another side to them: a home for misfits who don't belong anywhere else, much like their Tenno outcast of a founder. And more importantly, no syndicate understands better than them the threat the Void and Man in the Wall pose to the Origin system, and few are as prepared as them to deal with it. If/when MitW finally makes his move, I think we're gonna be glad to have their expertise around to help keep the ensuing horrors at bay.
They actually mention how one is cast out or that they didn't listen to one during I think it was the second dream, now knowing rell is that tenno, is actually kinda cool
-Am violently cleansing the corrupt in accordance with their tenants. -Red Veil constantly waste resources on suicide missions to attack me because I like the cephelon who is all about music. (I picture the guy who represents them in The Syndicate menu hearing a slowly intensifying mandachord tune and frothing at the mouth in annoyance, which precedes to ruin his face mask).
Cephalon Suda tried to attack me to bad i was on extermination mission fighting corpus soldiers i was ready for those osprys i made an quick work on them
I love how well your video phrases syndicates in a way which makes them more conceivably adversaries. Well, still not _adversaries_ per se. Always comes off to new players as forth-wall breaking when a group you've done nothing to spite sends death squads your way seemingly "because game".
More like the whole game itself is Rell's mind. A child's imaginative broken mind. The Pale King as the father(more like mother figure) or the Donda and Margoulis. The tree mother as Sentient Natah, I forgot the one that says get gud, but her mother as the Red Veil, the girl that says Git Gud as Rell's Priestesses. The Dead and defected as the Tenno that Rejected him. And Rell as the Locked kid. Us, the player is literally the Tenno capable of freeing him.
Hey! I though I recognized you when I watched your Elden Ring lore vids, you made Warframe content! I used to watch your stuff Your transition to SoulsBourne lore was the perfect transition for your kind of lore deep dives
I personally don’t follow the veil (a little to extreme for me) but they hands down have the best lore in this game. Rell also is my favorite character in this game next to the Lotus, and Eudico.
Imo the lore hints that they have strayed from Rell's original teachings in the many years since his disappearance, falling into cult fanaticism again. Personally I prefer their original form in the specters of liberty event, than the full syndicate. They were more rebels and anarchists than...cultists and edgelords back then
the veil eat their shipmates then giggle about it hot take: they keep killing the butcher in their room and replacing them with the kavor they keep kidnapping
I think it makes sense for Rell to have been casted out since the Orokin did hate what they saw to be flaws and put others beneath them if I remember correctly. I also don't really agree with the Red Veil's main ideology. I think that in a system that's already so filled with years of non stop war and death, trying to find peace between different factions could help end the conflict. I do believe that they could be helpful in times of developing peace as they go against enemies that need to be rid of, especially the ones that are tyrannical and refuse to end unwanted battles like the infested lol. I just think that there's a better in between to their methods. If people keep killing the Grineer, they're just gonna keep cloning themselves further, but if we open their minds to other options, they might focus on fixing their genetic structure and providing a better more fulfilling lifestyle for their own people. And they'll realize that there's more to just conquering settlements for the sake of the Queen's ruling.
i think ash is the most respected and exalted warframe for red veil because ash is the first warframe you see if you look at the augments and ash represents the stealth more since he is a ninja
I was so into the Veil/Rell story until they started using those goofy face expression cards and faces on the aspects of Rell. Killed all the horror for me. It's such a cool concept but Chains of Harrow was kind of a mess.
It wasn't, it's apparently a somewhat realistic representation of what autism is like, or aspegers syndrome to be exact, the way the quest is so detailed it's amazing
@@mr.sleepyhead8401 I understand that but the way they chose to convey that was still extremely goofy to me. There were plenty of other ways they could have had that concept that would have fit the horror theme much better IMO.
@@skerfuse Maybe for you, but I don't play a game like Warframe for realism, it's a horror quest, not a dramatic quest understanding autism. To me, it did not lend itself to the horror tone of the quest.

Yes they are pure and ucorrupted and want to purge the world from its unpurity
The red veil would love the halo rings for cleansing
I think they would be more concerned with the covenant being incresibly orokin like.
I indeed like it
Astartes
