Rahul Khanna is the elder of the two siblings, was already a well recognized and well loved face as music channel VJ, not to mention him taking formal training in acting in NY. Yet, Daddy Vinod chooses to have a big budget formal launch for the younger son Akshaye tells a lot about the father-son relationship here, and why Rahul was charting his own career path rather than depending on his father. While I was not impressed by Akshaye and his initial movies, I think Farhan was able to get the best out of him in DCH where he was the perfect fit. That role is his niche and since then he has delivered decent performances around that niche. Agree, he has a potential to be the new Iftekhar and present 101 shades of dashing cop/lawyer/don. IMO, while Daddy Vinod has the best screen presence and comfort in front of camera, Rahul is a better actor but not cut out for Bollywood roles and doesn't look the stereotypical Indian for hollywood movies. So while his screen career has not panned out. But he is just 52, with the medium changing so much there are roles with his name on them, just a matter of time.

Underrated is too small a word to discuss their talent. Especially Akshaye Khanna.
