Yeah, though the age of consent is 16 in the UK, when you're dating someone with such a huge age gap you're denying that young person the chance to grow and develop in relationships with people their own age. At the very least it's unethical, and at the very worst borderline abusive. *Edited to correct the age of consent, I always thought it was 18. 16 blows my mind, many people haven't really fully matured by then and the idea older people in their 40s and 50s would want to sleep with someone that young is extremely uncomfortable, I don't give a fuck what people say.

I think to say there isn't a culture within the gay male community of older men dating considerably younger men than themselves is a bit of a fib, there definitely is, it's not that uncommon at all, and by younger I mean younger not underage, though I believe there was a fair number of gay men who sighed relief that it wasn't them in the spotlight when Phil got called out. Phillip isn't grasping that unlike other age gap relationships with other gay men, he knew this kid for such a long time which made the whole thing disturbing.
I think we were all blown out that their was little genuine pain for his wife and family who stuck by him. Now he’s still all about himself. An incredible narcissist who would do the same again
I still do not understand what he has done wrong, apart from being unfaithful to his wife. The young fella was not underaged, so what was the problem then?

So many people throw in the word narcissism on too broad a basis. Not the correct word I'm afraid for his particular pity party. What I can say is that surprisingly I managed to watch his three episodes but six minutes into this feature and I'm out. Talk about self importance to make one's own bread and butter.....
I am a gay man in my early 40s - and resent Phillip Schofield so much. He has perpetuated an awful stereotype of ‘the predatory older gay man’ which simply isn’t representative of me and my fellow middle-aged gay friends and it infuriates me, because he has lived a life most gay men couldn’t and wouldn’t live. He simply doesn’t represent the majority of gay men! Yet straight people will be saying “well of course, you know what they’re all like.” Over the years, he has presented himself to be catty, bossy, unlikeable - I just think he’s very selfish and not a nice person, and I hate that he continues to have a public platform - he needs to get a quiet little job somewhere behind the scenes, live a humble quiet life. I have a few gay friends, some single, some enjoying long-term committed relationships (one couple having been together for 24 years now). WE DATE AROUND OUR AGE - why? Because most people want someone to relate to, someone who knows what it’s like to care for an ailing parent, loose a parent, have made mistakes, learnt tough lessons - most people look for someone who will understand them, how is someone half my age going to understand me? And even sexually, what on earth do I have in common with someone in their 20s? Physically, I want someone to have experienced the middle-age like me and again, to relate to where I am on my life's journey both mentally and physically. Phillip’s brain is not representative of most gay men. Phil played mentor to a young person and then allegedly got into a relationship with them when they came of age - that doesn’t sit right with me, ethically - nor did it sit right with the gay friends I keep. He is so unlikeable (his sassy and superior attitude in a car-crash interview with a medicated Kerry Katona springs to mind) he has never come across as genuine, warm or relatable. I resent him and this attempt at a career comeback. I want to see positive representations of gay men on television, not narcissists with victim-syndromes.
@@jayne1126 that doesn't equate to proof of anything though, you would need to actually conduct studies and do research rather than 'some old guys contact a friend/relative'. If you were an older gay man who liked to have it on with younger gay men (and that could be anything from 24-34 mind you) then you would go on dating apps like grinder! And therefore.... All of them are on grinder, and therefore you see a disproportionate amount of them. I'm not saying this isn't true or this isn't a phenomenon. But I would also point out that this happened whether you are gay or not. And older women also take part in it, to what extent, again, I do not know. What I do know is that a lot of closeted older men on hook up apps hook up with younger men to 'live out their fantasies' that they couldn't when they were younger. It's pretty sad really. People who feel they can never come out and have a family. I feel for their wives a lot. In those situations, everyone's a victim of Queerphobia, which is still strong nowadays. If they had been able to come out no one would be in that situation.
@@jayne1126 Dating apps are where predators (and sad, lonely old men) tend to gather, though. You're getting a skewed impression of the gay community by only going off dating app info. If you did the same for Tinder, you'd think the majority of all straight men just send unsolicited pics of their genitals to women or ask for nude selfies and then throw a tantrum when women refuse.
Men are men, heterosexual or gay. As a hetero man I was groomed by two gay men, with a massive disparity in age. I appreciate that not all gay men are like Schofield, however, stereotyping IS a thing, and the predatory gay older man is most definitely a reality, sorry. Hetero men would definitely do it, but other men find it disgusting also, and history has shown this - even the ancient Greeks, who had a reputation around these things. In modern Britain gay men get a ‘pass’ over such things in the media, precisely because so many gays work in this industry. Schofield may not represent you, but her does represent gays in entertainment, the media and a number of professions. And it IS a phenomenon which is distinctively gay.
I refuse to watch it so I'm happy to see discussions like this because it allows me to be able to stick to that. Phillip Schofield's arrogance is astounding.
I think the show would have been much better if Holly Willoughby arrived at the island a day later and hunted him down with a Bear Grylls pocket knife.
I can’t stand Hollie she’s so fake and didn’t even support her so called best friend She just wanted to stay on too As when her husband who earned 4 million as a hold per yr had the cheek to claim furlough for months Like he needed the money I’ve always found her fake and never genuine Hope Phil stays on the island 🏝️ with no crew
Intestedting that Schofield has been given an opportunity to give his side of the story but the lad was made to sign a NDA … so we will never have the other side
@@MrsBillings2001 there is no proof of this NDA, it's all gossip at this stage, but if he wanted to speak out, he's had years to do it. He could have gone to the papers at anytime. He hasn't. You seem to think that Philip is some devious groomer, but not clever enough to get his 'victim' to sign an nda before now? You're having a laugh.
@selenacaemawr or maybe I just don't jump to conclusions when there there is no evidence to support something or let any prejudices get in the way of facts. It's like saying every man who plays Santa at Chrostmas must be a groomer because he wants kids to sit on his lap all day....
Poor me, poor me, pour me another. He got found out, he screwed up, abused his position and lied to those around him. He was the architect of his own downfall, but seems to blame others. If he's not been asked to do I'm A Celebrity, then he really is persona non grata, esp when you see some of the "so called celebrities" asked to appear on that waste of screentime.
Yeah. I have no problem with him being in a relationship with someone much younger than him. Love is something nobody should judge others on. But his behaviour was creepy. Lying about it to his colleagues, because he knew it was a terrible look, rather than just being a grown-up about it and saying "screw what people think, I love him, I'm gong to be honest about it." I know it's difficult for a gay celebrity to be truly honest about their lives when they're going to be constantly picked apart by the media and the revolting elements of our society, but I look at Stephen Fry, who married his much younger partner. He went through hell getting himself to the point where he felt safe to announce their relationship, but because he was honest with his friends and colleagues, they all had his back. I do think Richard's point about how you treat people around you was remarkably interesting. Nobody apart from the usual suspects cared that Stephen was marrying a much younger guy, and we didn't care because we know (we hope) Stephen to be a nice guy. But Schofield wasn't a nice guy. He lied o everyone, and god knows what he put the poor guy he was dating through by constantly swearing him to secrecy because Schofield was more scared about his job than about his partner's happiness and safety.
It's not my business if anyone comes out as gay. It's not by business if anyone wants to take a much younger lover. What does concern me is someone in the public domain abusing his position of power. What does concern me is when anyone blames everyone for their shortcomings but themselves. I've always been completely indifferent to Schofield but I watched all three episodes. He was full of bitter, twisted resentment calling others toxic, saying he was thrown under the bus. He is the toxic one. He threw himself under the bus. His defence of - he's not doing anything different to other people - was childish. This show was about him. If he had been humble, shown remorse for how his behaviour has impacted on others....if he had focused on his recovery and what he is putting into place to improve himself he may have found some sympathy from viewers. But heck.....he burned every bridge possible with as much venom as he could. I don't think we need to see him on British TV again!
A genuine question - how did he abuse his position of power? By getting him a job on This Morning?- he wasn't doing anything different to anyone else. It he was straight and it was a younger woman, the paper wouldnt have forced him to come out and it wouldnt have been anyone's business. Then allegations were clearly thrown around, that made it into something far more sordid than it was. So he lied to his work colleagues about his private life? So what? Do you tell your work colleagues everything? The fact that you think he should be humble, show remorse, recovery, improve himself... for what? If you think of every person or couple that had affairs during their time on Strictly, and there's alot of them,Why didn't they have to do the whole mea culpa, forgiveness beg, for how their behaviour and actions impacted others?
He held power in the media - specifically in the programme he was working on - as he was a presenter who draws public interest. He abused the position because he brought a young person, with whom he had a professional relationship, into the spotlight by entangling himself with them romantically. This causes a big problem for ITV because they now can't fulfill their duty of care towards their junior staff member - a massive breach of trust between Phil, ITV and the young employee. None of this is to say it is also obviously creepy to be hitting on and sneaking around with a 17(?) yo at work when you're married with kids. I think the worst damage seems to have been self inflicted as he was caught lying and appealing to the defence "everyone else does it" ( ie. Accusations of homophobia, "it's not illegal"). As they pointed out in the podcast, he showed how powerless he was in many ways as no one came to defend him in the end. He did fail to protect his "friend" from damaging their career and bringing them into the publics attention and needs to take some accountability for that given his profession and personal relationship with them.
Noone is forcing him to perform a mia culpa.. he just works in a job where image does matter - so he likely won't work until his image is laundered. His desire for legacy and redemption is a luxury no one owes him.
I agree in general but there is also a duty of care and responsibility for senior and public facing employees to protect juniors. The big dereliction of responsibility is lying about it and then blowing it up into a large news story. That is I think what most people mean by 'abuse of power' in this context.
Absolutely banger episode. Marina was on one, "we need to talk about Kevin", "Edgelord of the Flies" and calling out This Morning on their lack of relevance. Great stuff.
Agree about Scholfield. He should stay on that island. 😂 I went to the Van Gogh immersion experience (Beyond Van Gogh) in Liverpool in July. I have to say, I loved it and found it very moving. It is so easy to say we should just get on a plane to have exciting experiences but that isn't possible for those of us who are disabled/chronically ill and struggling to make ends meet, We would love to be able to have that level of privilege.
I saw a disabled girl review it. For those who couldn't get up the stairs they were ushered behind a curtain to a space that had a video playing and some van gogh colouring sheets. Being a little ambulatory she ditched her chair and hauled herself up the stairs to see the rather underwhelming spaces with elements of his paintings projected onto the walls and ceilings. It looked really crap. Less crap than the dreadful experience wheelchair bound ppl got though.
@@littleboots9800 That’s a shame, must have been in another venue and another time as the July exhibition in Liverpool was on ground floor level and didn’t require climbing any stairs.
I've always "loved" this kind of disparaging quotations that usually tend to be used by self-assured, judgmental smart-XXXes AS IF they and the wisdoms they bear were meant to be applicable for all people, for all superficially akin situations and states, "miraculously" taking into account all the possible variables the life can and does present us with. Yeah, "as if"! At the end of the day, these 'quippy' quotations are often very good for the so-called "average Joes" to feel clever and superior about themselves. That's like their main contribution to the society, I dare to opine.
The biggest narcissist, oh wow me. Philip blames everyone else but not take responsibility for his grooming of a 12 year old boy. He threw so many people under the bus. Plus they all had to sign an NDA. Shameful man, he can’t stop talking about it!
He was NOT a 12 year old boy, he was an adult and capable of thinking for himself. Be very careful; you could end up in court for making such a comment.

What’s worth considering is that paedophilic men who like to fiddle with boys aren’t actually gay. Philip only came out as gay when his brother was about to go on trial for underage relationships with boys. And Philip has remained married to his wife with whom I would say he is sexually attracted to in a heterosexual way.
I remember when he first came out as gay. Because I've never watched This Morning or particuarly liked Holly or Phil, I had no idea about his private life and genuinely thought he was already out! I was stunned to learn he was married with almost adult kids!
I remember my straight office worker who laughed out loud when she heard on the radio that he came out, she said ‘I was 12 and already knew’. She was 21 at the time
It is strange that Philip Schofield who was the star of a low rated daytime show that, perhaps, only two per cent of the population ever watched and of those, I suspect, many found him rather creepily self important, so why does he think anyone cares less about him or his future. Many ordinary people lose their jobs from no fault of their own and have to suffer in silence. Schofield should come to terms with the fact that nobody needs him and nobody cares about him.
Phil needs to get into his head we don't wake up on a morning and wonder how Phil Schofields doing ,your not on anyone's mind but this show proves you want to be on everyone's mind ,Phil you did a job and when you leave any job your soon forgotten.
Totally. The reason Holly Willoughby was mocked for her ‘are you okay?’ question was because she shares the same self importance as Schofield, if little else these days like their phone numbers! That she thought it was a moment everyone would watch and care about is delusional. They both seem to think a bland, inconsequential daytime show watched by no one who works, is of great import. Quite where they got that idea, I don’t know.
The fact that these characters believe we the public still want to watch them, says everything… I just think I would slink off to obscurity and get on with a quiet life, rather than keep reminding people what a slime ball i am

There's some taskmaster boardgames out that are great for a family party. Or you could honestly make up the tasks yourself/ get ideas from the internet. You'd be surprised how inventive family members can get when they get competitive and have a drink 😂
The world of TV is not unlike Westminster - detached from the real world, a school for arrogance, and a culture which will always turn a blind eye to indiscretions.... until you do something stupid and threaten to bring the house down. After 40 years in that environment, Schofield has fallen for it and the worst thing he could have done is take part in a show where the spotlight is solely on him, warts and all. I hope he's right and this is the last thing he does on TV. He's got enough money to give him a comfortable life, however long that may be. Fade away, son. Fade away....
The icing on the "detached from reality" cake that they consume is their televised award shows. Don't just watch us congratulate each other for doing work that we got paid for but hear us give a speech about it too.

Yes for me it is the underage thing that is the most important thing. By far. I am less worried about him being gay or unfaithful to his wife. I’m a HUGE believer in redemption, always believe in giving people the opportunity. But when you have abused your position of power and influence in any form you should not be given any kind of platform again. There are other ways to redeem yourself, none need to involve being on TV or any other form on mainstream media. Which of course is all he’s interested in because there’s zero protection in social media and he doesn’t want to be challenged for his behaviour. G'day from Australia. Just got onto your pod last week and have binged non stop. Great show. I love the Questions show, the Answers Show and The Questions and Answers Show. 😂😂😂
Schofield is the last of 90s naff that believes so much of his own hype. How or why "This Morning" seems to be a key topic for news is beyond my comprehension!
Phils had 'friends' stuck to him when he was the top man, not a peep out of them when he was the target. Fun and games at their houses after award shows, buying holiday homes together etc.
After listening, Im now a big fan of Richard Osmand, he comes over as very balanced and emotionally intelligent in this intervew, puts his point across without being salacious.
All these people need to remind themselves that they're JUST MAKING TV. It's a skill, but not very important. You're not saving people's eyesight, you're not finding a cure for cancer, you're saving people and property from fire, you're not trying to help solve climate change. You entertain us. And we thank you. But that's absolutely it. It's a massive game of self congratulation and perpetuating viewers. Why does This Morning appear in papers? Because it sells papers and promotes the show. It's not news. It's advertising. Yet people like Schofield thinks the paper is interested and therefore people are interested. Stupid mistake to make.
This doesn’t mean Phil is guilty of a crime - but people forget his brother was found guilty and sentenced to 12 years in jail for sexually abusing a young boy. It seems strange that both of these men clearly have a preference for young boys. So Philip may claim he only started a sexual relationship with him when he was 20, but it all sounds very fishy. It isn’t illegal if he was 20, but it’s a massive power imbalance. Getting a young boy a job on your show so he feels he owes you something and natural gravitates towards you whilst you’re 40 years his senior. Very murky waters.
Let's look from this perspective, if your child was 16, dating a man his age, would you be okay with it? Or would you look at said person as taking advantage? Or even as grooming /predatory? Makes me sick, feel so much for the young man.
The fact that shows carry on regardless of who is presenting them lends me to assume that presenters are generally massively overpaid, which leads them to all sorts of Schofield traits. Am I wrong in this?
I remember when Jonathan Ross was disgraced and he lost his job, and rightly so. But guess what, he’s creeping back into television. Everyone seems to have short memories.
Fern Britton. He's got short memory he only got the Gig full time because of the events around John Leslie, When he joined full time the chemistry between him and Fern was amazing then as time passed you could see the arrogance on full display. IMHO I think this was a tester to see if a possible stand in for the C5 daily show? This morning has been in dire need of a massive reboot for years, everything about it needs to change.
I blooming love Wynn Evans. Me and my dad bumped into him on a train from Bristol to Paddington. Wynn had overdone it the night before, and missed his flight to France to watch Wales play Australia in the Rugby World Cup. He was going to catch a flight from Gatwick or Heathrow. He was so blooming affable.. Me and my dad were on our way to a football game. And mentioned "oh, have you seen the new Spurs stadium?" He said "It's funny actually, I closed the old one. and opened the new one". My dad didn't recognise him.
I would rather watch the paint dry on my newly painted landing window sill, than watch mr scofield, I'm even struggling to listen to this talking about him
I watched all three episodes. It was a pity party for one! He may not have done anything illegal with his relationship with the runner, but there is something VERY wrong with having a teenage boy in your life and watching them grow up, and to then have a sexual relationship with them! Nothing is ever his fault. That's what is called a narcissist. It has nothing at all to do with homophobia. If it had been a straight relationship, it would still be wrong, and there would be backlash. And as for the "community" turning against him, we don't like having people who behave in that way being part of our gay community.
I watched 20 mins of it, its not just about the fact he cheated on his wife and kids, take that away and had he not done that, its still a very rich bloke moaning at a camera. He will have people on stand by in case something went wrong they wont let him starve. It was to me someone just saying how fantastic they are and how great their life has been but trying to tap into this trend of sufferance equals depth. Phillip your not an Artist, you hosted as show sat in a cupboard talking to a puppet, then hosted This Morning with a puppet..... You are utterly throw away.
This is a quality podcast, genuinely valuable insight. I find it so fascinating listening to you two. It’s the cherry on top that your takes are rooted in research.
A little message of appreciation: I found this podcast last week Saturday, with the goal of having "something" on while reading a book. This has turned out a little different though, the topics you talk about are so interesting I found myself putting my book aside to focus on the discussions. I have seen every single episode in just over a week. Before finding this podcast, as a non native English speaking person, I had never heard of the expression "By and large" Thanks to Richard, it is now one of the expressions i know best! Keep up the good work guys! Just a little note on the camera work maybe, if doing a split screen like this, any hand gestures are quite screen filling, if that makes sense. Maybe put the camera's a little further away? Or, and this is personal preference, have both Marina and Richard in the same shot.
It's good to hear Osman talking about "the talent" not being as valuable as all that. The nonsense spoken about the British public putting their 'trust" in Huw Edwards and feeling shattered by his loss, was utter madness and a complete misrepresentation of how and what viewers think and feel.
I have only seen the promo clip that lasts a few seconds where he suggests he doesn't deserve what's happened to him. That says all you need to know - arrogant, completely without remorse, thinking he's the victim, completely detached from reality. And at the same time, completely unaware of how he's coming across. I think this is what happens when you become so big. Reminds me of Noel Edmonds who's also lost the plot. Read the room!
People always ask me why I love shows like Survivor, Alone or Castaway etc and my reply is always the camera shows all, people can try and show a persona or what they think they want people to see but give them enough rope…. Their true nature shines through
It's his knowledge of what his brother was doing and the fact that Schofield did NOTHING, that repulses me. The brother was convicted of 11 charges against a child.
The kid may have been of legal age at the time he was working at the channel, but nonce-bollocks was wining & dining him long before. The age gap is still fucking creepy, how can a man knocking on 60 years old have anything in common with a kid of sixth form age with no real life experience, what could they possibly have in common? Also remember how outraged he was when the BBC stuff broke, he was the nonce hunter General.
Bit of the 'Blockbusters/Countdown Effect' in this studio setup. Split screen is what is comfortingly routine for the regular viewer, actual studio layout isn't something you'd easily predict.
No mirrors on the island. Which is difficult for someone as narcissistic as Philip but I suppose the camera reflects his insincere mug back at him so that’ll help.
I hadn't heard of Marina, but I'm now a superfan. She does not like Schofield. She has eviscerated him...well done her. Richard came over as her barrister.

Wild bears?
I have a young gay male relative and the amount of old men contacting him via a dating app is shocking.
Very well said a great post somebody who clearly understands - have learnt a lot Thank You.

Lying about it to his colleagues, because he knew it was a terrible look, rather than just being a grown-up about it and saying "screw what people think, I love him, I'm gong to be honest about it."
I know it's difficult for a gay celebrity to be truly honest about their lives when they're going to be constantly picked apart by the media and the revolting elements of our society, but I look at Stephen Fry, who married his much younger partner.
It's not 'abusing your power' to date a co worker 🤣😂🤣
I agree in general but there is also a duty of care and responsibility for senior and public facing employees to protect juniors. The big dereliction of responsibility is lying about it and then blowing it up into a large news story. That is I think what most people mean by 'abuse of power' in this context.

And not unlike the public schools that spew them out.
The icing on the "detached from reality" cake that they consume is their televised award shows. Don't just watch us congratulate each other for doing work that we got paid for but hear us give a speech about it too.
Destroys his entire family pretending to be straight his whole life and lying to his wife and kids then nuking everything by coming out. Grooms a teenager and eventually has a relationship with him. Never apologises, plays victim.

And mentioned "oh, have you seen the new Spurs stadium?"
He said "It's funny actually, I closed the old one. and opened the new one". My dad didn't recognise him.
Marina is so savage 💀😂 9:48 poor Richard nearly choking on his morning coffee lol
ABSOLUTELY 😂😂😂
This is the first episode of this that I’ve seen! What a banger. Looking forward to watching more now!!
22 minutes in and I've just realised its split screen.I thought it was quite rude of Marina not to be looking at Richard.
Yes, I didn’t realise it was split screen too and my first thought was “ oh they’re sitting awfully close to each other!” 😂
@@rebeccamulkern1051😂 I thought that too!
Same! 😂
😂
😂🤣😂🤣
I would rather watch the paint dry on my newly painted landing window sill, than watch mr scofield, I'm even struggling to listen to this talking about him
Marina is absolutely iconic in this
I watched all three episodes.
Marina nailed it!
You are utterly throw away.
..” hosted This Morning with a puppet “
Brilliant 😂
This is a quality podcast, genuinely valuable insight. I find it so fascinating listening to you two. It’s the cherry on top that your takes are rooted in research.
Who ever choose the camera angles for this episode needs to learn about "crossing the line". It's distracting.
Just wonderful, and having the water flowing in the background was delightful. Thank you
I predict Schofield will have a Christmas show on GBNews.
A little message of appreciation:
I found this podcast last week Saturday, with the goal of having "something" on while reading a book.
This has turned out a little different though, the topics you talk about are so interesting I found myself putting my book aside to focus on the discussions.
I have seen every single episode in just over a week.
Before finding this podcast, as a non native English speaking person, I had never heard of the expression "By and large"
Thanks to Richard, it is now one of the expressions i know best!
Keep up the good work guys!
Just a little note on the camera work maybe, if doing a split screen like this, any hand gestures are quite screen filling, if that makes sense.
Maybe put the camera's a little further away? Or, and this is personal preference, have both Marina and Richard in the same shot.
I never thought of Schofield as an Alan Partridge type until now
It's good to hear Osman talking about "the talent" not being as valuable as all that.
Apparently a 16yr old boy was mistakenly placed on the island along with Scofield. A spokesman said "This is the one thing we didn't want to happen."
@@SethMcFartlane huh?
Too old for Phil
@@Nick-q8kCome on Phillip, you don't need that explaining surely?
@@piganeiros yeah, completely baseless character assassination is always amusing to some.
Since when is joking about child sex abuse funny?
This lady is hilarious the way she describes Schofield and the show. Brilliant
People always ask me why I love shows like Survivor, Alone or Castaway etc and my reply is always the camera shows all, people can try and show a persona or what they think they want people to see but give them enough rope….
Their true nature shines through
But you only see what the editors create.
That's entertaining?! I find it boring torture.
It's his knowledge of what his brother was doing and the fact that Schofield did NOTHING, that repulses me. The brother was convicted of 11 charges against a child.
Omg!
Very disturbing.
Perhaps Philip was involved.
I love Marina Hyde, always read what you write for the Guardian… didn’t realise you had a show too. Love it! Nice work both of you 👏
The kid may have been of legal age at the time he was working at the channel, but nonce-bollocks was wining & dining him long before. The age gap is still fucking creepy, how can a man knocking on 60 years old have anything in common with a kid of sixth form age with no real life experience, what could they possibly have in common? Also remember how outraged he was when the BBC stuff broke, he was the nonce hunter General.
Yeah I recall when on an episode of this morning he gave David Cameron a list of known or suspected PDFiles I wonder if he put his own name down 🤐🤫😂
Bit of the 'Blockbusters/Countdown Effect' in this studio setup. Split screen is what is comfortingly routine for the regular viewer, actual studio layout isn't something you'd easily predict.
Has Gordon the Gopher spoken out yet?
He has remained silent though people suspect he had a hand in it
He was forced into signing an NDA
About the hand up his…
One day that tired and obvious joke will be told for the final time. Do people genuinely still tell it in the hope that they've been the first?
@@andrewyoung4844one can really tell the nonces on this thread.
I just found this program! I never heard of it before! It's outstanding! Really great variety of items covered!
Give Pip a show on North Norfolk Digital
Offshore. He needs to be on one of the offshore radio ships 🚢
@@sianwarwick633 it's an Alan Partridge reference mate. Sorry, my humour is often too obstuse for people.
@@stephenaskew4346 *obtuse.
Marina was on fire in this episode.
Richard is always the smartest and says it like it is!
I am not a violent person, but Schofield runs me bloody close.
Me too 😡
Schofield wants to look in mirror when apportioning blame
No mirrors on the island. Which is difficult for someone as narcissistic as Philip but I suppose the camera reflects his insincere mug back at him so that’ll help.
Gotta hand it to Marina on this one. Had me laugh out loud several times. Top notch stuff 😂😂😂
I hadn't heard of Marina, but I'm now a superfan. She does not like Schofield. She has eviscerated him...well done her. Richard came over as her barrister.
She dosn't like self-pitying and exploitative creeps. Go girl!!!
Schofield’s script - Me, myself and I
Would be a great double entendre for his autobiography lol 😂 😂 😆
*New Subscriber* : I didn't know this podcast existed. Very insightful comments, with intelligent turns of phrase ( no surprise with Marina ). The insights here are I'm sure applicable to most media markets in most countries. Watching from here in Prague, CZ where they used to have the weather forecast on one of the more serious commercial channels read by a woman in business blouse, skirt and stockings who would undress to being naked while giving the forecast. I kid you not ( you can probably find it online somewhere ).
