  • Today we take a nice ride around the community, unfortunately it's storm force winds. But the awesome Wired Freedom handled it like a champ. Also new helmet, accessories and a speed run.

    I bought the same turn signals. I also bought two sets so that I will have them on the front and rear. I get my green wired freedom in January. I can't wait!!!

    Thank you for posting sir, enjoyed to see your ebike video. I noticed you were flying through stop signs.

      Only the ones where I can see very foreign advance that nobody's coming from the side. I stop at all major stop signs as needed.

    Subbed. I got my Wired Freedom yesterday. I’ll crack the box tomorrow and put it together.
    Truth be told, I’m shit scared about charging the battery and then the house catches fire. Feel free to reassure me. 😳

      Just got my Wired Freedom today. I live in Birmingham and my neighborhood is very hilly and it handled it like a champ. I did stop a few times to fine tune the settings until I found a pretty good setup. This bike is amazing. I'm 61 years old and felt like a kid on Christmas morning. I had so much fun riding this bike!

      @@chuckwall107 I live about 80 miles just East of you. Sounds great! We lived in Hoover for 5 yrs when we were in our late 20’s. We had 18 speed pencil thin tires, so I know how the hills are there.🥰 Did you buy your ebike from a dealer? Thought you might have recommendation. Thanks! 🚴💖We’re 70 so definitely need help up the hills, but still enjoy trails & riding the beaches.

    If you had to do it all over again would you have got the step through?

    • @insurancemann1
      @insurancemann1 7 месяцев назад +1

      Not at all. The step over calls me to get a little more flexible which is a good thing. Still love my wired freedom. There's nothing wrong with the step through if you can't get on the step over though.

    Thanks for the helmet advice. I’ve looked at the Freedom. But I’m concerned about my weight. I’m 295 and 6’5”. Do you think I’m too big for the Freedom?

    • @insurancemann1
      @insurancemann1 Год назад +3

      Well I am 6'2 and a little heavier than you and it does fine. It's capacity is 350 lb and I've spoken to the owner's directly and they said I'm perfectly fine and it's been great so far. It's an amazing bike I would not hesitate if I were you. And it is built for tall people that seat would probably fit somebody 6'8

    The cadence sensor measures your pedal revolutions, that’s why you slowed down when you slowed your pedaling

    I wear a CPSC bicycle rated- skateboard helmet. Wasn’t exactly cheap, but doesn’t break the bank either, 47$ on Amazon.

    I ordered the orange version of this bike several days ago. Shipping won’t be till late January 😭 😭. Guess I’ll have to make do with my Ride1up 700 series till then. It’s not bad it will do 33 mph PAS 30 mph throttle only. Doesn’t do well on hills , or accelerate fast at all though.

      just a light bar from Amazon. They have several different variations you can chose from. They are very bright.

      I agree when I first bought an Ebike I didn’t want to wear dorky looking conventional bicycle helmet but I didn’t feel safe going 30 mph down the road with no helmet. So I got a ‘dual-certified’ skateboarding helmet. Means it’s CPSC bicycle rated as well as skateboard rated. Or you can go for full faceguard bike helmet which look cool looks sort of like a motorcycle helmet

    Do you have a video on how you mounted the rear light?

  • @mattr7229
    @mattr7229 Год назад +1

    When removing the back carrier rack, was it difficult to relocate the rear tail light? Are the front turn signals integrated into the bike's power or are they separate using their own batteries?

    • @FloridaE-bikeAdventures
      @FloridaE-bikeAdventures  Год назад

      I just had to purchase a bracket on amazon, very cheap and zip tie the wire to the light. Not a big deal at all and it looks and works great. The turn signals are rechargable. I really like them and a charge lasts a long time.

    Has anybody tried putting mountain bike bars on this? The bmx bars seem to keep you very upright which isn't very aggressive

    • @FloridaE-bikeAdventures
      @FloridaE-bikeAdventures  11 месяцев назад

      Yes, many people have. I don’t like the look of the mountain bike bars on the freedom but you’re right it does make it more aggressive set up which I need. I’m torn LOL.

      Watch and count how many stop signs you go through over 10 mph.

    • @FloridaE-bikeAdventures
      @FloridaE-bikeAdventures  9 месяцев назад

      Thanks for that very helpful comment. I live in a small gated single entry community. I can see several hundred yards in each direction well before I get to the stop signs or I would not run them. You do get the safety patrol award for counting the stop signs. @@darrenbenson2606
