2024 Wired Freedom? WHY?

- The 2024 Wired Freedom has a lot of updates. I am going to compare the components based on my experience with bikes that were less capable. Cheaper is usually not better. If you want quality components on a quality EBike you are looking at a $2000 price point.
Good choice of color, I have the August 2023 cruiser and love it. I will say my bike has the motor sensor also. Nice job on the video 👍🏼
Thanks. How is the cruiser for handling? The Freedom is a bit of a beast sometimes.
@@BabyBoomer1959 I only have mine set to go 25 mph , but I absolutely love it 😊
I just bought a $1400 eBike w/ twin 1000W motors, 52V/28ah battery and it's amazing. Amazon made me very happy!
Keep us updated. Congrats
What babyboomer really means, is sell that trash and by a FREEDOM!
@@dsolvtec lol, I left it up to interpretation purposely. That bike could be amazing, I want to find out! Or, it could be a disappointment, hopefully we find out.
But is it UL certified?
Dual motors is great but there are trade offs. How do the rest of the components stack against the Wired Freedom? What is the model # of your dual eBike?
Very nice looking bike, I like the color
Ok well here's one more subscriber for ya. Always looking for E-Bike content from someone in my age group. Most of these channels are from younger folks who are like "Yahoo! This can go 40 mph!". I really liked your view that the extra power in this thing will get you up hills. I weigh about 240 and live in a very hilly area, and my 750 watt ebike really struggles on some of the steeper hills. I always have to pedal, and if I'm at
Power over Speed!
Nothing I've done has had the merit to have a good life, but you get to live it.
Any upgrades or accessories you are thinking about getting for it? I'm buying an eBike in a coupe of months and the Wired Freedom is near the top.
No changes needed IMO. Just carry a spare tube, used Slime in tubes, carry tools for basic field repairs…
I'm interested in the dual motors, thanks.
Wish they would add a torque sensor to make it more manageable. Very cool concept for a bike.
I had a torque sensor. I don’t think it would necessarily be more manageable. With a cadence sensor you know the power that you are getting. A torque sensor may give more power than you expect.
@@BabyBoomer1959 interesting, my experience has been the opposite, my bike it too happy to push me along where I have little work to do myself and feels like an on and off switch. My mid-drive bike for comparison feels like a non e-bike.
please correct me if I am wrong ere I checked the freedom motor the web site said 1500 watt continuous motor where most other bikes offer only 750 watts this makes the freedom unable to be on public roads federal and most state laws say no bike over 750 watts please check
@@peggylabarre1519 The Freedom comes with controller configuration that motor output max is 750w. For bigger people like me, the controller can boost power.
Nice video. Have you experienced the "death wobble" and engine cutting out like other viewers ?
@@markborao6144 I would not call it a death wobble, but there is a noticeable wobble at times. Motor has never cut out.
Great color choice!
Real head turner!
It's sad that a person usually has no color choices. Both my ebikes are black, the only color from the company. How about yellow, red, green, anything but blue. Why can't you get street tires if you don't like knobbies, or better quality tires? Very strange.
I looked at a lot of reviews on other bikes and I can't seem to get off of the wired freedom I see nothing but good reviews about it and the torque and speed is really good I am going to get one as soon as I get my money up because I believe it's going to be the best bike and it's going to last for a while
Although my first Ebike was a mistake. I have no regrets about the Freedom.
Get the five star from e cells. They don’t charge shipping or tax. You can totally customize your bike too. Much better value and same specs
They DO charge shipping.@@Mike6string
Is this about jeeps or dune buggies or what? What is the point of having all your toys out? Just asking.
Definitely not dune buggies…
I thought it was a great background.
I like cool toys! 😎
@rvboondocker2559
It's to show that no matter where the trail goes, or how narrow it gets, He's got the means to traverse it in style.
"WIRED FREEDOM: It takes you there....no matter where."
@@davidgraham2673 love that response
@BabyBoomer1959 , Thanks!
Us Boomers really appreciate what the Wired Freedom offers us.....literally freedom. I love mine.
I'm the Blue Streak people see around here. They ask about the bike, all the time.
The 2024, gas been upgraded into a super beast.
New second battery
New 203 mm disc's, with 4 piston calipers
New upgraded front shocks
New 45 Amp controller
New 3,000 watt motor
and MORE!
This for the SAME price of $1,999 plus tax and shipping as before.
I'm fine with Blue for now, but next spring.....and maybe even more upgrades by then.
We'll see!
I'm subscribing now.
Enjoy the trail, wherever it takes you.
How are the tires holding up? Do you use *FlatOut* Tire sealant?
Have about 800 miles on them. Got a flat the first day out because i went off trail over some briars. I put slime in afterwards, no problem so far.
I use flatout with the tannus armour inserts for best possible flat protection. So far, so good.
The wheel base looks kinda short doesn't it?
Not compared to my last bike, but I will measure and compare to published specs.
If I got this bike I would try to get mirrors that stick up like motorcycles rather than out just because I am sure that I would catch the mirrors on something..
This stainless steel mirror is plenty tough and has the right joint angles to fold away when hit.
@@BabyBoomer1959 Thank you
Is it good commuting e-bike?
May be a little big for storage. If you need a suspension and you don’t want to worry about range, I think good fit. Components are quality for the price.
@@BabyBoomer1959 One RUclipsr shows this Wired Freedom e-bike can reach up to 59 mph speed. Is it true?
without upgradation
@@raja8806 Dropped from a cliff perhaps. If you tune it, it can achieve 40 on flat surface. A short burst to 40 to get away from traffic may occasionally be needed, but for me, I have it top out at 33 for those situations. I focus on hill climb power and only speed to stay away from traffic.
@@raja8806 no need to upgrade other than a handle bar mirror
The wired freedom customer support sucks on top of that ecells 5star is the better built ebike
I was going to buy the new freedom, but after I saw the"death wobble "I decided to buy the 5 star with double battery..
Yeah how can I like and sub if the dual batteries added too 2024 model aren't even mentioned? Did I miss that?
lol, do you have one? I don’t
@AdrepKeith This is not the current 2024 model

Lose the be bop sound and I might subscribe…
Really 😂
Like and subscribe. Best of luck .
🤔 I was going to buy the WIRED Freedom, but I am now thinking about getting the E-Cells 5 STAR instead. 🤷
Is the e-cell UL rated?
@PumpkinKingXXIII • I think they're working on it, it's the same kind of battery.
But it would make for a good comparison video. 🤔
I might get it with the torque sensor.
I have the wired, but I would absolutely buy the E cell if I hadn’t already bought this one
@@J.D.Vision Be careful with a torque sensor with that much power, I am thinking it may put out more power than needed especially in a turn.
E-CELLS will be UL CERTIFIED in the next 90days but here is the kicker. WIRED doesn't have there UL CERTIFICATE they applied for it but don't have it. There website is a lie. It's been proven and I have called an reached out to them to ask for a copy of it and they won't give me one because they say they don't have them printed out yet. Lol. They won't even email me a copy. And you know why??? BECAUSE THEY DON'T HAVE IT LMFAO. ITS A LIE THEY GOT COUGHT IN. E-CELLS WILL GV ANYONE 5K TO PROVE THAT WIRED HAS IT.
You need a better mic when shooting outside. Hard to hear you well.
Thanks for the feedback. Yeah I know, the setting on the camera had to be switched to aux mic. Didn’t know that. The cam itself was recording with a ton of wind. Awful!
I just did 😮
lol, did you??
Pretty cool bike but they won't allow it on bike trails... But if you like riding along automobiles you're fine
I've never had anyone kick me off a trail. Look at all the reviewers drive on trails.
750 watt? Try 1500.
lol, check Wired sticker on the frame behind the air shock…
It costs $800 for the battery, which needs to be replaced about once a year. Not cheap!
Once a year seems a bit much and yes I will be very disappointed at that turnover rate. It is also a concern though right?
If it is your main ride, then you would have to set aside money to replace it for sure.@@BabyBoomer1959
Replaced once a year? Why? I've had ebikes worse than this still going strong with original battery
@@user-MetalAngel yeah, why every year, please explain 😢
@@jameslund221 I'm referring to my experience with my Aventon Level 3 eBike, of which I rode exclusively. So, if you're a casual rider, than of course the battery will last longer. But that should be stipulated.
Bruh.. You have so much money compared to... Well me
Wired Freedom bikes have serious suspension linkage defects and front headlight and fender mount defects. If you have a warranty claim, Mr Steven Goldman will not honor the warranty claim and will do everything he can to ignore it and hope you go away.
What suspension linkage defects?
On the 2024 models?
@@jameslund221 The suspension link issue has been fixed from what I'm reading out there...
Mine is solid and I ride the bike hard on trails...800 miles in 6 months ... changed the seat and peddles but otherwise it's a solid bike
Yeah, definitely a Boomer 😂1
