Bro, the pan tile it’s drop-dead astonishing. 🎉 I’m kinda speechless. I mean, the symmetry and centered-ness the drain is one thing. That was well done. But to have your edge pan tiles land in a whole and half pieces and change of plane with silicone appear the thickness as a ground joint that’s incredible. 😮
Great vid. Is it the most bestest. Well jury is still out. But it is a nice job in the end. And some of the old music score is there. Nice. And stabila rbeam 300. Woohoo
Beautiful work like always, one thing I did not like was the fact it creates such big grout line around the drain, but just re-watched the clip and totally understand why now 🤙👌👍
How far from the concrete slab should the flofx flange be? Looks like you have to get some drypack under the edge correct? Or does it just set on the subfloor? Thanks!
I do like FLO FX Drain and bonding flange Better than the Schlueter bonding flange and drain set up. Once again thank you for sharing your knowledge with us. Your work is impeccable. “FLIP”
A newbie question?? You used the grate carrier to mark the tile for cutting, but the shims are a full 1/4" bigger? How did you get them to fit into the drain opening so easily? Did you cut the tiles more than the grate carrier size? Thanks.
How does the water drain from the waterproof membrane if you're adding all that thin set to the plastic spacers, you're pretty much glueing it and creating a barrier, water has to pool and can only drain through the top drain when it reaches the height of the top of the tile? Doesn't seem right? Do you have to add thin set or can it be left loose to allow drainage?
Yoooooooo Liggy Liggy Landberg!! Fantastically done as always Bud. I mean it. A semi serious question out of morbid curiosity though. With so many customizable, foam, & fiberglass shower pans out there, why are you & other guys still doing dry pack? Process is mad enjoyable to watch I won't lie... Hoping all is well Bud, Dirty Jersey out!!
Agree, but with this FloFX drain you need a dry pack. I'll have a video soon with a drain body that they recently came out with that works with Sclhuter foam trays!
How long have you been using the FloFX drains. I started using them about a year ago and personally I think they are superior to Schluter and Latacrete. Your work is superb. I've been in this business for 40 years 10 of which I was extremely low key pursuing a life long dream that died with Covid, but am back to remodeling showers. Here in Texas you would not believe what they get away with. Never saw anything like in Cali while I worked in the San Fernando, Santa Monica, Hollywood, Santa Clarita areas. Recently replaced two brand new showers client paid $20K in labor for that we absolute crap. Anyways, love your stuff, keep em coming.
Much better and they have a drain body now that works with foam trays. More options for grates, better drain body, great spacers and the temp cover for dry packs. I'm very impressed.
@@Mr.Pop0 I did see that. I myself do the drain at the same time as the tile to get the tightest grout lines. The massive ground lines just stick out way to much in my opinion. It just, dose not look uniform.
Impossible in this circumstance. I could not have "gone tighter" because of the tile. Two choices are 3/8 around grate or zero symmetry around drain. I chose symmetry. Also, I could have gone 1/8 on left and right, but not top to bottom. Sometimes you don't get everything you want, but you make the best out of it.
beginner question...Why use a ledger board if you are doing a full row on the bottom? Also when the pan hexagon tile was completed did you doing anything with the gap to the wall before hanging the wall tile, like grout. great videos thanks!
So that we can pull measurements after the dry pack is dry to frame our niche for full tiles ending at the bottom of the sill. Sometimes we do ledgers, but mostly we don't.
What are the cons of a bonded flange bc i don't see any besides the price point. Three piece has so many failure points I'm never using them again. These also don't need a preslope. Flowfx with some laticrete membrane and multimax lite is the silver bullet for me
That's crazy, I'm still using my original PICA stuffed and caked with thinset. The led lasts forever. When I forget it and have to use the Home Depot pencils I cry like a baby!
Looks like shit but dunno if smaller perimeter grout joint would be any better, you know, being weird shaped pieces.. heh Yeah i love the flofx drains. Bathroom looks good man
What beautiful work! Definitely take pride in your craft!!, wish there were more like you out there
Once I switched to flofx I’ve never gone back. They’re awesome
Crisp, Clean and Professional work.
Go Berg!
Beautiful Work!
That Laticrete for the shower floor tile really looks like a tight bond.
Yes sir it is!
Nice you finally joined the flow fx gang !!
Great job getting the grout lines to hit right on the niche.
Ninja! Beautiful sliding glass door. Nuff said. 💪
From a tile master…… LEGIT. Finally someone that just knows. 👍🏻 subscribed. 👍🏻
Thanks for the sub!
I stopped getting your alerts a little while ago😢. Glad to start catching up. Another incredible job!
Wow, that was satisfying 🫶🙌
Good content, straightforward and to the point, thanks
thank you!
Man, that is some class work Brother! You're w/o a doubt the best on youtube.
Thanks brother, appreciate it! 👊
As we like to say in Canada thats a beauty eh!!! Love to watch your craftsmanship, keep up the inspiring work
Thank you very much!
I just used a flo fx drain on my last job. It turned out great
Like the complete job Landberg! Niche tiles sharp - always in the details.

Thank you for the excellent video tutorial
Glad you liked it
@@LandbergTileTV loved it!
Subbed. Great work and attention to detail and well edited video.
Thanks for the sub!
the little boat you made had me cracking up, lmao
lol
Beautiful job 👍
Very nice!!!
Super clean!

Nicely done video 👌
Thank you! 👍
I liked this video, its good prep for a job I have. I also like the t shirt. Do you have that print on the back?
What kind of cement used to connect to the PVC pipe ?
Looks great, so do you just use enough of the shims to where it is flush with the top of the mosaic?
Or should the drain sit a couple mm below mosaic?
Awesome
The only drain I use.
Beautiful work like always, one thing I did not like was the fact it creates such big grout line around the drain, but just re-watched the clip and totally understand why now 🤙👌👍
Yes sir, got to work with what you have.
How far from the concrete slab should the flofx flange be? Looks like you have to get some drypack under the edge correct? Or does it just set on the subfloor? Thanks!
Depends on the depth you want for your thinnest part of the dry pack. 1 1/4 inch seems to be a common minimum standard.
where did you get that laser base leveler?
Awesome looking work - always learning from your posts! Could you please tell me the make/model shower door?
It was from Lowes . com
How do you get it to flow in the drains direction? I know stupid question but I’m trying to learn how to do things on my own lol .
What type of deckmud did you use? Awesome work man! 👏
I do like FLO FX Drain and bonding flange Better than the Schlueter bonding flange and drain set up. Once again thank you for sharing your knowledge with us. Your work is impeccable. “FLIP”
Thanks flipp! 👊
I agree,the flange collar is shorter,makes things easier.👍🏼
Does the unit come in both ABS and PVC?
So would you put latercrete on top of that too?
On the drypack, yes
A newbie question?? You used the grate carrier to mark the tile for cutting, but the shims are a full 1/4" bigger? How did you get them to fit into the drain opening so easily? Did you cut the tiles more than the grate carrier size? Thanks.
Yup, cut the tiles more than the grate carrier size. 👍

What size trowel were you using on that mosaic? Looks nice & clean.
Could i use Hydroban liquid membrane instead of the paper membrane? Or is the paper better?
Yes you can!

Agree with you and thanks for the comment. I'll keep em' coming!
Can it be installed in the corner?
Did you not put a slope in your bed?
FloFX doesn't need gravel? No lower over flow weep holes??
Nope, not that type of system. It's called a seal system like Schluter
What is below the first layer of dry pack?
Thinset
Looks great! How do you like it compared to the Schluter system?
Much better and they have a drain body now that works with foam trays. More options for grates, better drain body, great spacers and the temp cover for dry packs. I'm very impressed.
You should make long form videos for your channel btw. Go pros are cheap!
0:49 what is the name of that tool, need it
They come with Huepar lasers, micro adjustable stand
What are your thoughts on that rigid tile saw now that you been using it a few months?
Love it!
Can you use the FLOFx with a presloped pan
Yes! I have that drain body now and will put out a video on it soon!
Is there no way to avoid the big grout lines around the drain?
He coulda gone tighter, notice the drain was set after the the tile. Had he gone drain first and tile second he could get it down to 1/8 grout lines.
@@Mr.Pop0 I did see that. I myself do the drain at the same time as the tile to get the tightest grout lines. The massive ground lines just stick out way to much in my opinion. It just, dose not look uniform.

Just curious what thinset you used to bond the membrane to the dry pack?
Thinset
I think that it needs a hair catch like Ebbe drains and the grout is too thick around the drain
No weep holes?
Not with a seal system like this
Va usted es mejor dios le bendiga esa mano😅
Please give me the info on that shower door.
Lowes dot com
where can i get that laser???
Here is my review on this laser: ruclips.net/video/ruwraJIo1-w/видео.html

@@LandbergTileTV oh man thanks. That makes sense. I'm working on my first shower, you probably just saved me a huge mistake
How long does a shower like this take you?
One of the few times I've seen you float a mud shower pan. I'm curious what was the reason for this time?
I've done so many! I'll have a video up soon with FloFX on a foam tray
What are the cons of a bonded flange bc i don't see any besides the price point. Three piece has so many failure points I'm never using them again. These also don't need a preslope. Flowfx with some laticrete membrane and multimax lite is the silver bullet for me
I agree
Nice work dude! In the past you where using lots of Schluter drains and waterproofing. I was wondering why you did stop using their products.
Thanks brother! We still use Schluter and Laticrete, but love these Flofx drains
So... Everyone is talking about pre slope, then membrane, then more mud pack, then tile. Is that not necessary?
No, not with a seal system
I guess this method isn't possible with a a drain you find on Amazon?
Correct
Most advanced till next week 😂 you’re the best. It ain’t the system 👍
Appreciate that brother 👊
Dope!
👍👊👌🏾
👊👊
every time I see those Pica pencils I laugh. I’m on my 3rd one they keep breaking. The leads dont stay taught out the end and keep pushin back in.

This is why nobody in my area will use those drains holy hell look at the size gap around the drain! Like a fat 1/4” maybe even 3/8?
I hate octagon tile😂
Ditto!
Better keep the customers cats away from that job.
