As a Mexican teenager I’ve always been grateful towards Diego, especially because of his honest view on our country and the way he wants to change it. Thank you Diego and I’ll try to be like this as well.
He makes great points about Mexico's reality and the importance of telling this story. Drug trafficking is an international and complex issue and we should bring awareness to why it continues to be such a successful business.
Diego Luna is someone who has become loved by every generation in my family. He's an amazing actor, and so humble, and down to earth. My grandparents (who immigrated to the US) also love him and are so in awe by an actor who, though he has made it in the US, doesn't forget his past and continues to fight for his country, which many other actors who have come here have made it a point to stay quiet about and/or given up on. I love that he is loved here, and I love being able to say that this wonderful actor and person is from my family's country❤️
c. t. I think it’s very noble of him as well! What a wonderful actor, but more importantly, a wonderful man w/true love for the people of his country! 💗🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
Diego Luna is amazing! Representing the quality of performers coming out of Mexico in an excellent way! Trust Netflix to be ones the put Luna on such a huge platform to shine!
as much as i hate it when Hollywood uses Mexico and it's actors to only show one side of Mexico the bad side. i also hate it when Mexico covers it up and its people. stories need to be told and to hell if it hurts your feelings.
"I'm going to tell you a story, alot of people don't want to hear this story. They want to pretend it never happened but FUCK THAT!" - Narcos Mexico S1E1
EVERY story has multiple sides to it and the interpretation you get depends entirely on who is telling it and the result is never going to please everyone, nor should it. Any story only needs to be a good story. Any other expectations you have are on you, not the creator. The perspective of the story teller dictates the story and, obviously, their perspective isn't your perspective. I try not to have expectations for a movie, other than for it to be an engaging story.
What a great heart he has, Diego Luna! Truly a great man who loves his countrymen! Good to see the other actors as well! Esp...Sam Rockwell=from Francis the Flute to Wild Bill! Amazing actors, these 2!
America is in denial about the part is plays in the drugs trade in Mexico, and the lives that are lost there. If drugs were legalised in the US, across the board, it would save lives all round.
Denial? No, just ignorant. The information is out there that the CIA was involved in the drug trade, but most Americans can't be bothered to go search for the it (mostly because people care about what affects them personally first.) But agreed, drugs should be legalized, and the size and scope of the federal government should be drastically reduced.
Lol! Those serious in the table GUARANTEED have snort lines of coke. I hope they think about how many people had to be killed for them to enjoy their vice 😂😂👌👍
At 1:00 Diego starts talking about how, at the begining of the show they put the number on how many people has died - since the eighties- because of the drug wars, so he wishes that after seeing that he hopes that audiences . (in the US who are the main drug consumers and Mexico´s neighboors) will make more sense before hitting a line of cocaine on their tables... right after, Stephan James takes his right hand straight to rub his nose. SIlly detail, just tought it was funny hehe
❤️ and he’s not trying to cross the border illegally! To reach a country for sanctuary. He’s fighting for his country ❤️ I pray you succeed ❤️ I know Me I o has very sweet people, but the cartels are the reason why it’s so bad. They need to go ☠️ I wish Mexico would finally say that these monsters are terrorists.
Become legitimate. It's the only way. And you can still be Your Own Boss. The rest of Mexico just like here in the United States, They need jobs. Grateful people are a protected people.
Aside from my culture (Dominican) I consider Mexico to obviously be filled with beautiful everything (Women Food Musicians and ect) as Country's Most other can't fairly deny as the absolute Bomb. Que Onda?
Mexico will never be a safe place. Hasn't been. Never will be. It takes everyone to make a change and the ppl expect someone, anyone, to make things better but it just hasn't worked.
Mexico used to be a safe country for the most part. I was born in the 90's and I remember a safe country where there were just a couple of cities that were dangerous then in the late 00's everything changed and now cities and states that used to be very safe and peaceful are full of crime. It was just a matter of time before all those years the goverment didn't take action against the cartels to become the sad and dangerous country my Mexico has become. 😔
Sí claro, estoy segura de que hacer esta serie glamourizando la vida de los narcos y mostrándolo como si fuera un puto reality show fuera una ayuda inmensa
DIEGO: where is the money that you received in donations from "Omaze" ? it was more than $500k dollars in donations, you said you were going to give it to the people that got affected by the earthquake blah blah blah and I have not seen a single video or any article saying that you gave the money directly to the affected families that lost a relative in the earthquake!! WHERE IS THE FREAKING MONEY!! GIVE ME MY MONEY BACK!!!
How in hell is Diego Luna helping mexico become a safer place...by twiting and texting from his Malibu penthouse?....No Gracias we don't need that little girl here in Mexico... Mexico has places where crime is rampart and others were is minimum...no way in hell I'm moving from Mexico, I have it all in here....Diego Luna is out of touch with Mexico, he hasn't been here in years
20% of Mexico is owned by the cartels When you wrote this violence and murders by the cartels were at an all time high , about 5% of murders get solved in Mexico, the border is extremely chaotic in many places and Mexico constantly ranks among one of the most corrupt countries in the world Wake up
