This video was a godsend!!! I was struggling to get the factory presets going, but following a couple of steps I didn't know I needed to do, now all is working!!! THANKS A MILLION!!!
So I managed to route the audio from it into my DAW using my Audio Interface (Behringer U-Phoria UMC404HD). I just put the cable from the Headphones out into the channel 1 of my interface and set that up on as an input on my Audio track in Ableton. Then I still have the main output going to my monitors/headphones so I can hear what is going on. Then if you have a track already that you want to record something for you can: 1. In VSTHost, set BPM in Engine BPM to whatever the destination track is 2. Export a melody/arp/sequence as midi from your DAW 3 Load a midi file into VSTHost via Engine -> Midi Player... -> Player File... 4. Start recording the audio in your DAW 5. Select/setup your patch in VIRUS HC 6. Hit play button in VSTHost Hope that helps some of you get these sounds into your tracks! If someone finds a better way, please share
I would try a virtual audio cable. Software like soundflower on Mac. You can route the sound virtually. Not sure which way you will have to deal with less latency. I haven't installed this virus yet, but using it inside the daw would be handy of course.
Nice! Thanks for this! Pity it can't run from inside Ableton yet, but I'm happy just to be able to record samples from it. The sound out of this thing is awesome!
Can someone explain to me why the Emulator (DSP56300Emu.dll) is connecting to the input and output in VSTHost but the VirusAccessEditor.dll is not connecting to the input? This really sucks.
so is it possible to use banks made from 3rd parties on this? or just the original roms? i would love to use an lfostore soundbank for this. ive been dying to but could never afford the OG hardware
WORKS FINE JUST LIKE THE VIDEO ON WIN 10X64 ..... how i can do it in My Daw? Reaper / Fl studio? ... i dont know how to set the midi btw HC editor and the DSP vst thanks!!!
The answer Is no for now due the dsp emú does not have graphic interface yo make the midi routing ... The dev staff say that' Is in progress so in the future that's willbe possible.... The quick Solution but not complete Solution Is download the dashboard Preset AND conect to dsp emú just like in the video. Google: dashboard clasic virus ... Enter in the imageline fórum and follow the instructions later conect the dspemu to dashboard inside fl studio AND boila! Sounds but no have control at the presets ,.... Left wait for better developend in future update
learn how to use the midi routing inside your DAW... it's basically the same way as he uses the VST host with loopmidi device. Read the instructions on the DSP56300 blog too. It is not easy plug n play.. you gotta make a setup you can save to spare you the hassle of setting it up every time you want to use it.
How do you do this on a Mac? Both loopMIDI and VSTHost are Windows-only, so I'm trying to load the VST in FL Studio and use the Mac's built-in "Audio MIDI Setup" application for creating the ports, but I'm not sure how to do it. EDIT: I just managed to get sound from the DSP6300Emu VST using FL's MIDI Out plugin. So I can select multiple patches now, although their names aren't shown.
Are you using vsthost? Make sure virusHC input is correctly configured for input and output using loopmidi. Don't forget to place the bios of virus B on same folder of the virus emulator dll. Also check the inputs and outputs in vsthost.
@@SergioFrias yes i do, i doublechecked didnt worked. But i actually was able to control virus b but in FL Studio via midi out template, but those are limited controls.
After you do the process a few times you’ll never forget it because it’s the keys to yummy Virus sounds.
This emulator is straight 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

I'm glad it helped 🤗
Have got this and have it up and running nicely in FL Studio, even loading proper Virus soundbanks with no issues. It's a lot easier than you think :)
This video its outdated, ill make a new one for newcomers, with the new gui.

Brlliant tut. I cant wait for many other synths to be emulated in the same way. Its sounds fantastic by the way.
Any tutorial about how to export track from Virus TI or Snow on Fl Studio?

every bank available for virus is working, just import them
@@adytech5788 Thats briliant.
can i make automations on the virus editor?
The buttons and knobs keep jumping around when moved on the GUI.. Will try again.

how would you go about recording this into a DAW such as fl studio
hi, how come i can't see any port when i open midi loop set up?
MAN ITS FUCKING GREAT.
what PC specs are you running on? I am running it on my laptop but I get cracking sound....
Hello im running on windows x64,nvidia gtx 660 ,8gb ram.there is a new beta avaiable on discord, please check it out :)
@@SergioFrias yes, I am using the latest Beta 1.2.3, it works but my laptop isn't fast enough...

Very, very close, I did compare both.

I Assume you can use the MIDI Input and Output ports to do it
Can you show how the EMU plugin should look like when it loads a ROM
Seria maravilhoso se fosse com o o Ti hehe mas o som desse também eh sensacional
mas pelo que entendi é um controlador do synth real, do hardware, não um vst que faz som de si mesmo.
anyone know how to do this on mac?
Does someone know how to get it working on a Mac?
number port change?
When I load up DSP56300Emu.dll it says failed to rom file: Make sure to put next to the plugin and ends with .bin. Is that normal?.
SORTED. I had to the access bins in the same VST directory with the DSP.dll.
Does this work on $100 Linux Nuc with 1.2ghz?
dos it works with Virus Ti2 and catalina 10.15.5 in ableton 10 or 11?
Is there a way to configure VSTHost to distort the sound with clicks ...? i5 2.6Ghz processor
THANKS GOD ❤️
Pra mac não teria o loopMIDI, certo ?
@Azzalto Music Osh... Kkk pra mim, pelo nome e sobrenome, pra mim ou era br ou pt rsrs @sergio frias, qual a sua nacionalidade?
how to load .bin Roms?
Hello,Find the bios for access virus (use google), then after you downloaded ,place it in the same folder next to the emulator.
can make the Virus Emu 64 available
well done video
thank you :)
I may have missed this but which version of the access virus does this emulate? A, TI, etc?
Virus B or Virus C
I get sound distorted with I5 dual core..
I get error saying "no response from virus"
