  • Walk around and my thoughts on the bike. Also some on road riding footage. Who says an old mans bike has to be boring?

I have a '13 multistrada which I don't intend to change for anything at all. Have grown really fond of the bike, bought it just over 3 years ago. Done about 25 thousand km so far, very little to complain about in all of that time.
I did have to do a couple mods on the bike to solve some problems it had when I got it, biggest one was installing a tuneboy ECU programmer and tweak the engine maps. That made a big difference.
Bottom line is I have never enjoyed a bike this much. There might be better bikes out there, and I just don't care.

Nice ride! I just snagged one of these. It is FILTHY but it only has 1000 miles on it. I plan on giving it a long bath and then trying it out. Thanks for the video

i have the same bike. bought in 2013 with 6K; now 51K. did the 45K service in March. the rear shock went out after 2 weeks I got it. Ducati gave me the shock and also had to replace the ecu. then the tank expanded and Ducati replaced the tank. fork seals replaced. i have it set at the hardest setting; 2 up with luggage for best handling. thinking about the new v4 but i'll wait for the 17" front and single sided swing arm when they release it.

That Multi is sweet. Pretty sure the snatchy throttle can be addressed via an ECU update. No cat and no center stand, ...full exhaust? If it (ecu) hasn't been flashed then it should, but you probably already know that. The BMW is a fine machine. How do your wrists do while riding? This old man can't ride those any more! Thanks for the vid and the ride! -cheers

Greetings from Western KY!. Checked out your review because I'm looking to consolidate my bikes to get one "all arounder". I have a HDXR1200 and a 2014 Triumph Thunderbird Commander. I was thinking a Multistrata just because it seemed to be able to satisfy my long distance needs and also put a smile on my face on the twisties. I see a few on my radar from 2010-2016 range from 4900-8000. Would you recommend this year? Some are saying to avoid the older ones and get a 2016 and above due to longer service intervals. Any input is appreciated!

Recently sold it and kind of regret it. I would recommend the 10 model to anyone. Some reviews I read back then said the handling went south in newer models? Dunno. The service interval is a valid concern. If you can't do it yourself the cost would be prohibitive.

@@rogerhundley9490 That's what in line as to what I was thinking. I have my eyes on a 2016 but recently considering a Hyperstrata so I can tour and carve. Thoughs? BTW, where are you in KY?
