Like your review buddy. Love to hear what normal people think about their pride and joy. So boring when pro reviewers keep banging on about how fast or doesn’t it handle a track. What most people want to know about is how reliable is it, how much does it cost to run, is it a viable proposition or does it have issues. Probably the most important thing, when you’re spending your hard earned cash are you going to have a smile on your face at the end of the day.
thanks bud I do try and be honest and agree ( lets se how fast it goes isn't great lol) theres many more reviews on my channel bud so hopefully something for everyone take care and thanks for the feedback
Had a test ride on Saturday morning with the basic 15 model and noticed how clunky the clutch was. I'm 6'4 and the seat was in the lower setting so felt a bit cramped does the higher seat make that big a difference Mark. I'm considering this and the triumph 1200 any advice would be gratefully received.
The multistrada is a much taller bike and has setting to raise up Wish I was taller lol I do love the triumphs and have had a few 800 now and road the 1200 What are you after bud A got all rounder with luggage then the tiger 1200 A little crazy yet fun then the multi bud Tiger is simpler and cheap to run in all weathers Multi will do it but not as happy Agree with the gearbox Odd I've just bought a 2010 multi again and it's much better I hate to say Maybe look at the new 1260 as it's supposed to be better bud
Hi Mark, you can change the Dash so that Urban has the full display in the settings, also removing the trim from the seat will lower the seating position. In regards to the gear change i have experienced this when i got my first DVT Multi coming from a 15 R1200GS TE, but being firm works for me and no longer an issue. As for cranking, that's how they are, I've also owned a Panigale and back on my second DVT. Love em ! and ultimately here in the UK for me at least its a far more useable bike than a full on superbike with 200hp
Any problems with vibes around 6k? I had a 2013 Multi and no problems but it was too tall. I read on Duc forums complaints of vibes on the DVT.. I want one, tell me it ain't so.
On this mk2 no bud it's better than the mk1 all round and no vibration Just all in rides so well with loads of fun Go test ride one bud you wont want to give it back
Wow that's amazing Miles and still going The multi is a great bike but won't do that sort of miles lol Take care bud Loads more vodeos on my channel you might like to watch
@@marksavage watched all of them allready. Your channel hits my sweet spot. I imagine the multistrada won't perform(kilometers wise) like the old varadero, but it looks so damn sexy, and i test drove one and fell in love. Its porn for me...feelings wise! Varadero is the mature me, r1200 gs is the fucker who wants to get in line with the rest of the nerds and ill probably end up with the vfr 1200x cross because that cow feels like home. BUT if i win the lottery or figure out how to lie to the wife ill buy a used multistrada as well.
oh thats good to hear bud thanks as I didn't know that. I knew you can do loads of other stuff but not add the rev counter top man thanks for the info, how are you liking your multi, do you get any false gears or is it just mine lol
@@marksavage I do get false neutrals, ... well, used to. It is common with Ducatis from what I have read. You have to learn and you will learn that you cannot be delicate with gear changes, once you adjust all is good. Like every motorcycle it has its good and bad, I love mine anyways. :D
Other than the last minute of nonsense, the best MTS1200 review on the internet, including the ones all the magazines did. Just purchased a MK2 after owning a MK1 PP model. Your +s and -es are spot on. Ditch the catalyst and reflash the ecu if you want to wake it up and eliminate the dreaded midrange stumble. Motolectric starter cables fix the slow starting issue. If you need help with service parts, check me out. - LT emsduc.com
Second time I watched this now, still looking for a 2015+ 1200s (with the funky dash) but have been also thinking about an Aprilia Tuono Factory V4! Just can't see me using all the power on the Tuono, so pretty sure I'm getting the Strada at some point :)
Thought you had got one bud already! Love these bud and know you will As for the Aprilia they just are not the same and build up speed that as you get to the roundabout you can't displace !! Tight bottom time pmsl Stay safe bud Still think you're like the mk1 after riding the mk2 !
@@marksavage Yeah the deal I had planned on the previous Multi fell through (seller was being a Dick!) I still want One though, but really want the TFT screen? so might end up getting the worse bike, for the better dash haha, stay safe mate :)
there are a lot of them about as we both know ,that buyers and sellers lol look what happened to me on the way home with my ducati, he wouldn't even answer the bloody phone while I was stuck on the M4 !! just a bit of luck I had that ring in my pocket and a bit of know how agree the screen is nice even the new tigers have it too, but after a while its just there and the road is a little more important pmsl plus I love the way they ride stay safe bud
@@biker_marinator5696 you will love it if it all goes to plan Hopefully you won't be disappointed I was very happy with mine Let's know how you get on bud

If you want a rev counter in Urban mode you can set display type in the menu. I've done that on mine. :)

Get the full termi - it literally is like riding a different bike. I tried a mivv defat but the engine did nt like it. It needs the remap

Nice bike Mark! I like the little blups and blunders in the video, they just make it better! 👍🎥🏍🎥👏
They make me laugh so I like to add them in at the end of all my videos
Just shows it doesn't always go to plan
