My mom and dad would play Mat Kearney a lot when I was a child. I’m not sure why but every time I’m worried about something if I’m about to pass out or something then this song will come into my head. Most notably the “breathe in and breathe out everybody moves this way just the same” part. This song holds so many memories and strong emotions with it. I associate it a lot with my parents especially and being a little girl. When I listen to this song I’m reminded about my dad calling me light eyes. He said when I was born that there was an undeniable light about them that he couldn’t describe. This song is very nostalgic and almost bittersweet to me. It will always hold a special place in my heart and I’m forever grateful for his music. I hope more people recognize Mat Kearney’s music and talent.
