This song mark’s the 9th anniversary of almost immediate, imminent death for my husband and love of my life. I still can’t listen to it without it crying. It was on the radio on the way to the hospital. I needed him. He fought and stayed. Thank you God and the drs that saved him twice from immediate death. I’ll always carry this song in my heart with bittersweet memories.❤️ Edit: He is alive.
Some songs you hear a thousand times and you hear them but you don't actually hear them until you're there and then when you hear them for the first time you understand just how incredible some people are, to take a tragedy and that feeling of loneliness and emptiness and despair that you feel after you lose something that you thought you would always have. Because I'm without the words by my heart is crying out
This song is brutally sad and romantic at the some time. It tugs on every heart string in a slightly gritty country/western sort of way. It's both beautiful and sentimental, and it takes you places you don't always want to go.
Do you want to be friends with me on tex I'm a girl I'm 38 old I'm in a wheel chair my body hurts me every day so if I ask you too play with your body on tex I'm a girl

Although I don’t understand why 2011 is the default date if VEVO was created in 2009?

There's something about music from different genres. I grew up in the hood and have always appreciated good music of any genre. The sound reminds me of truck stops when I was a little kid and my parents were driving down south to Memphis TN or North Carolina. It always takes me back to being a little kid and now I drove trucks so when I stop at truck stops music like this plays. Nothing better
Music and smell are such powerful things when it comes to memory. For me, it was long sweeping drives through the midwest as a kid, and when I was just able to drive, taking long night drives and listening to soft music alone. There's a lot to be said about aesthetic and nostalgia.
Tough times often cross our paths my dear, and both you and your mother are two beautiful souls for your abilities to mend your way through whatever hardships you faced. The world does not always storm and rains. At the end of the day, you'll get your rainbows and sunshine, keep holding on to that okay? 😊
This song always makes me think of my mum, love you mum, we might not speak but I think of you every single day and in so so sorry we drifted apart, it's something I think about when I wake up and when I go sleep, I think of you all the time, to quote the song, "it's a quarter after 1 I'm all alone and I need you now", I miss you mum and I love you x
I haven't listened to this in years, I heard it on the radio yesterday, I was trying so hard not to cry, it actually made me remember what being happy and being a kid feels like and I just miss it so much, it's 1:34 Am currently and I listened to it now and just damn, my heart actually feels a little something
Man, this song reminds me of when i was a child with my mum and we always had no fights and it was just positivity but now I really miss those moments with my mum and this song makes me realize how important she is in my life
Over the 32 yrs my husband and I spent off and on I always thought of him listening to this song.... He died on me in 2020 we were back together thank God!! But I so need him now today on my birthday!!
This is where I am right now in life. But I have no one to call. I lost my wife and my son go to cancer 15 months apart now I'm sitting here half-drunk I guess feeling sorry for myself there is probably no way else to put that. I wish there was someone to call because being alone, it's starting to get overwhelming for me. Thanks for listening. Take care T
tackless I’m here for you. I’m deeply sorry that something this awful happened to you, and your beloved family. I genuinely hope the best for you, and I hope that you find the light that you’re missing soon. ❤️ they are both in a better place, and they are with you whether you believe it or not.
Hang in there, brother. Nothing can replace your family, but allow their enduring love burn from a distance and stay with you. But now is the time start looking ahead. Life is still a gift, and you have had enough time to process your grief. It's time now to start a new chapter. Have you ever watched the movie "Cast Away" about the Fed Ex executive who gets stranded on an island for years, and after being rescued discovers that his wife has remarried? The last scene of the movie shows him standing in a crossroads where he gets to choose which road in life to take. That's where you are, my friend. Put away the drink. Don't self-medicate. Love them forever, but start a new life and build new relationships. That's how you best honor them. God bless!
@@RicksCafeAmericana Thank you but I have to take exception to one thing you said. No one can tell you and I mean no one. how much time you need to process grief. My wife was my life for 55 years and my son for 47 years. There is no timeline on grief and no medication can relieve that. For me it was like losing half of myself. There's no timeline for that. Thank you for your response though I appreciate it. And Tom Hanks was a whole lot younger and I am and he was not with his wife anywhere near the years that I was.
@@n40tom Hello, Tackless, Yes, I understand that the older the tree (in the case the relationship) the more time it takes to heal from the uprooting. I hope my comments didn't anger you. I have suffered loss and understand exactly what you mean in your response about the timeline for processing grief. Again, I am very sorry for your loss.
I currently have alot of problems on my mind, thanks for this. I know alot of people need this, please continue to be a positive force on someones lives :)
This song is so nostalgic. I listen to it when I want to feel comforted. It reminds me off driving in a rainy Saturday fall afternoon, passing through the suburbs. It’s so soothing, that it’s comforting as well. Back to the days I didn’t have much worries. . . I’m with you in this, we’re going back in time❤ and wherever you are, hopefully this song makes you feel warmed up as well

I'm not one to cry but damn this hits in a different place, we can see how music genre's have changed from full on relationships and live type of things to inspirational lust and drug use, or battling it... It's quiet sad, and I wish I was still a kid even tho things happened that I didn't understand, life was more fun and happier without me understanding

I’ll always carry this song in my heart with bittersweet memories.❤️
Edit: He is alive.

Some songs you hear a thousand times and you hear them but you don't actually hear them until you're there and then when you hear them for the first time you understand just how incredible some people are, to take a tragedy and that feeling of loneliness and emptiness and despair that you feel after you lose something that you thought you would always have. Because I'm without the words by my heart is crying out
You only know how dear someone is when you loose them so sorry for your 💔 hope it mends soon

This song is brutally sad and romantic at the some time. It tugs on every heart string in a slightly gritty country/western sort of way. It's both beautiful and sentimental, and it takes you places you don't always want to go.

I'm about to blow your mind even more. 2011 is the "default" VEVO date, so to say. This song was released in 2009.
@@Hey_BlinkinIt’s as if we forget that RUclips was still a fairly new concept at the time or that VEVO was a thing back then. I never understood why VEVO existed. Time to Google for an answer. Thank you Wikipedia for the history lesson. It’s bonkers to think back to a time when these platforms didn’t exist. Although I don’t understand why 2011 is the default date if VEVO was created in 2009?
12 years ago? Thank you. I was trying to figure out how long it's been... this used to be in the MTV Top 20 Videos that used to run on the MTV channel every Saturday morning. Picture perfect memories
Scattered all around the floor
Reaching for the phone cause
I can't fight it anymore.
And I wonder if I ever cross your mind.
For me it happens all the time.
It's a quarter after one.
I'm all alone and I need you now.
Said I wouldn't call, but I lost all control
And I need you now.
And I don't know how I can do without
I just need you now.
Another shot of whiskey
Can't stop looking at the door.
Wishing you'd come sweeping in the way you did before.
And I wonder if I ever cross your mind.
For me it happens all the time.
It's a quarter after one.
I'm a little drunk and I need you now.
Said I wouldn't call, but I lost all control
And I need you now.
And I don't know how I can do without
I just need you now.
Yes I'd rather hurt than feel nothing at all.
It's a quarter after one.
I'm all alone and I need you now.
And I said I wouldn't call
But I'm a little drunk and I need you now.
And I don't know how I can do without
I just need you now.
I just need you now.
Oh baby I need you now.
Reality is if you needed someone so bad you would call them or you would walk through that door she must not miss them too bad reality isn't it the truth is if you wanted to be there you would the truth is if you missed him you would call them

By the way this is a sad song the meaning of the lyrics is all about couple missed each other. Hahhahaha
There's a lot to be said about aesthetic and nostalgia.

tackless I’m so sorry I will pray for u I can’t imagine what u going through God bless
God bless!
@@RicksCafeAmericana
Thank you but I have to take exception to one thing you said.
