both are real belters with ferociously tuned engine's I personally would go for the eg . like the man said u can live with it much easier and there's not much In it in a straight line . nice video I enjoyed looking at the faces of the VTEC😵 virgin's riding all them ponies with you , the eg sound's manic when u give it some . sounds like the engine is been ripped apart .
I have an EG with B16A1 in it with some suspension/brake modifications running on R888 195/50/15 No weight reduction as it is my daily as well. Not sure if my suspension setting is wrong(maybe too hard in the back) or the B engine is pretty heavy, but the car tends to oversteer heavily. Midcorner as soon as I let go of the gas, the rear starts to slide. I imagine that the weight distribution of the DC2 is way better and oversteer is rarely an issue. Also I hear that the body of the DC2 is stiffer and does not twist as much.

I can totally understand the wish for an s body. 13 14 14a or 15. Doesnt matter. If modified the right way they are so fun. A friend got an s13 with the unholy ca18det and the engine still runns...Some coilovers tires and a shortshifter and some strutbars the car handles very well. The s13 feels in stock Form a bit boaty like a german car from this age. But modified it really comes to life i think. But the honda reliability isnt quite there. My fried got it for 2.5 years now and still had no real issues but we all know the ca18det's weak points.
The ek9 breaks could be a good upgrade they are 285mm fronts can't remember the backs. Use to run them on my ek4 vti. I think I had to get MG ZS 180 front and rear discs so that I could keep the 4 lug and not have to upgrade to the 5 when I fitted the ek9 breaks.
EK9 brakes are 282mm mate same as what is on there. Like I say though they're fine on the road, and not that bad on track, it's just that the DC2 is better.

No, the EG would need to go. I get asked almost daily if I want to sell the EG, unfortunately it is rare that a car like that comes up for sale should I regret my decision.

can u upgrade your camera because it will make the videos a whole lot more enoyable. i suggest a sony a7 or a7s as their video specs are great for a small price if you bought one second hand in great condition. sweet video tho really like your eg

I don't think that the two cars can be compared, as you have had the dc2 for a long time and it is setup to your taste. I think if you took the time to fine tune the eg it would be a better car. That's only my opinion though
so is it the 1st October you r at cadwell. if it is i might come down and have a look. I'd love to be passenger in dc2 and experience it as I'm only 17 and building my own track car but you only have one seat 😭
Urm, grey area. It will change the fueling of the car slightly and could make it run a bit leaner. Probably nothing to worry about, but it's worthwhile having it mapped to feel the benefit of the 3" properly.

But the E36 is going to get an LS because I'm boring, and then the E30 is *probably* going to get the leftover S50, maybe with turbo if I'm not broke by that point. Lucky for me, LS swaps are still *reasonably* affordable where I live. Just need to find a good donor.
Yeah mate that's right. Was running 20/16 to start with, which were OK on the UK tracks I tested them on but far too stiff for the 'ring. 16/12 seems a happy medium.

I have to agree with you there. Only because there is so much I have done with the DC2 and regret doing, which I wouldn't do again with the EG.

The steering pinion between the two cars are different the dc2 has a much better steering ratio compared to the eg
