  • Combine multiple Internet Speed | TP-Link R605+Load Balancer BoadBand router review| Gigabit Multi-WAN load balancer| Increase Internet Speed with load balancer
    Many of us are working from home and it is important to have a stable internet connection. If you have multiple internet connections you can connect them to a load balancer so that you will get an uninterrupted internet connection even when one of your broadband connections is down.
    After my basic research on the internet, I found this TP-Link ER605 router which I have purchased from Super Computers & Laptops SP road. They are really wonderful people and gave the product for a good price and the overall experience was too good.

    Hello Guru, I have bought ER605 to Failover in case of outage in one of the ISP. I have Airtel Airfiber (Internet that comes through SIM) to be used as Secondary and planning to buy BSNL as Primary. When Airtel Airfiber is connected, after few hours internet stops working but WAN is still connected. We then need to go to WAN and Disconnect & Connect for the internet to work again. From the logs I assume that the ISP wants to renew WAN IP address and after that the internet stops working. Is there a way we can recognize this within this device and initiate a Disconnect and Connect?

    Hi, I am not a network expert. Also not an expert who knows much about the packets well. But I believe that you just can't combine two lines to one in this load balancer. It balances the load and also acts as a fail over. so. if the packet has to travel through the internet, it uses one of those channels. To combine those ISPs connection you'll need another device to merge those that's possibly bandwidth bonding and that's possibly expensive.

    You are getting 262 pings because you are using two WAN connections. Each of the WAN connections has its own public IP address.
    While using these two connections simultaneously the Loadbancer will switch between these two public IPs, hence causing this high ping.

    I wish to know with this device can I share the load . What I understand from the video is that the speed of two ISPs become one whereas am looking for a device which can share the client load and both the ISPs are optimally utilized and then have fail safe feature- if one is down the load is shifted to the other one automatically. Am using Linksys LRT224

    The lines not get “added” but balanced (the connections) so you could hava a connection at 100mbps and other at 30mbps if you use un speedtest single connection you will get the real speed. Each connection packages go to one ISP the total flow yes will be increased as you have more ways to get internet flow but the real speed of a connection will not surpass the speed of the ISP they are going through

    Sir, can u please explain/demonstrate how the fail over function works and how much time it takes to switch to secondary wan , when the internet goes down on primary wan under practical conditions e.g by plugging optical input from ur modem (repliciating if the signal to primary modem fails).
    Just need to know how much time it takes to shift to secondary wan or it keeps on searching on primary for 2-3 min. and than shifts to secondary.

      He’s using it in LoadBalancer mode: both wan connections are used. In backup mode, the switch takes less than 2 seconds. Now, the current connections will drop (if you’re in a zoom call), it will reconnect but bear in mind that the established connections are going to be cut.

      It will switch over the traffic to another automatically. As long as you are not using VPN which is going to take one path any public IP change will disturb the connection. But I tested with my VPN which will get connected to other path in some time.

      That's called bonding, not balancing or failover. A bonding router is about $1,000+. This is a failover and balancing setup.

    • @tonykomer2997
      @tonykomer2997 2 года назад +1

      Bonding must come from the same provider. There is no way to combine throughput of two different is broadband connections. This is a load balancer meaning it looks at traffic , speed, time ofbthe provided Wan links and choose the optimized one for that session. Two nodes being TVs streaming Netflix. One node is already connected to Wan 1 streaming a high demand 4k movie. Now node 2 connects to Netflix session but the load balancer running a ping or tracers bandwidth % etc gets a reading that Wan 1 is already high demand and thus routs the node 2 session thru the unused currently low demand Wan 2. Not sure what options this balancer allows for figuring demand 9r if it's some sort of algorithm.
