OMG, that interior woke up some good memories! I used to work on a DAF XF95 way back around 2003-2004. When you turned on the standard interior, ALL the good memories from that job came to mind again. It hasn't changed much the last 20 years.

Why do traffic lights in ETS not have two sets like the real life ones before and after you cross the road? So that if you can't see the ones next to the truck, you can see the ones across?
because some countries don't have repeater lights across the junction and SCS is trying to keep the game as close to real as possible

Great trip! Maybe change trucks each time, good to see all different models and the way they handle. Also the ways they can be equipped. Nice job what ever you choose, always a lot of good stuff.

there is a traffic offense remove option if that helps

thankfully TSM mods have improved greatly since 2.2, the TSM mods are now 100% stable
Nothing especially Mods or EA games(in that order) is 100% stable.

i quite like the DAF myself, its not a bad looking truck,
i'm using a G27 myself wich is great manual shifting, there are several settings for shifting in the game, but im using it like this: shift from one to six, press a button then 1 becomes 7, and shift up to to 6 again, wich has become 12th, wich is hillarious if you enter a town, and you have to keep starting all over again. cruise control works quite well with it too.
btw, the longer front mirror is compatible with the other sunvisors.

also I'm fed up with game developers and the way they work! imagine how you'd feel if you went to the bakers and brought a loaf of bread and they only gave you 25% of it and said the rest is DLC (that you have to pay for again)

Squirrel, you can change the front mirror on most trucks to the long version. this way you can get the other visors and still use that mirror. Also, if you hit the "I" key you can scroll through the dashboard settings and see the temps, fuel and distance to empty. (but you probably know this already) Keep up the good work! Ta La !!

agreed tolls in France ugh I was doing a very long journey from Cherbourg to Valencia in Spain I transport dogs and we left Cherbourg at 4pm it's a 12 hour journey and going through caen, nantes and then up to Bordeaux and then got to the Spanish border Saint Sebastian tolls tolls and more tolls wow

Three wiper blades used to be the trend in the '80s. Almost every truck had a period when it was made with this style.
RÁBA, Tátra, Renault, DAF, SCANIA to name a few. DAF kept that classic design even in the shape and design of the cabin. I like this truck. It's a good one.
You can actually be able to put any sun visor on and still be able to put the front mirror on. I did it plenty of times just click yes next time and you'll see for yourself. I hope it helps :)
Euro Truck Simulator 2 has come a long way since then
DAF are Dutch and part of the "Pacific Car and Foundry Company." The HQ and man factory are in Eindhoven, though some trucks under the DAF name are made by Leyland here in Blighty.

i have an Logitech G25 ... an its absolutely worth it... it makes a lot of fun shifting the gears and stuff like that with the G25 and G27... i like your videos a lot, greetings from Austria :)
when editing the truck if u hit the the the icon that looks like a mian beam u can preview what all the beacons and lights will look like
Paul, Daf Xf have 3 wiper blades, Daf CD have 2 wiper blades and Daf Lf also have 2wiper blades
A retarder basically is like a brake system so that your truck doesn't run away down hills, they can apply extended light braking action with no brake fade, thereby controlling the vehicle's downgrade speed, which saves the vehicle service brakes until they are needed. There are many types of retarders (exhaust, engine, hydraulic, electric). All retarders can be turned on or off by the driver. On some, the retarding power can be adjusted. Hope that helps answer your Question :)

You need to enable the mod. on the first screen (the profile selection screen) highlight your selected profile, then click edit, and then on the right side of the screen there should be a box with all the mods listed. tick the ones you want (in this case the africa mod) and then click apply. ;)

I've been using TSM maps since the inception and the 2.0/2.1 then updated to 2.2 is a great map mod, awesome roads and if using the mod to increase trailer weights, it can give you a real challenge on those desert roads and mountain passes alike. Have driven over 80,000 miles on the TSM 2.2 and still not covered it 100%. I also use several other map mods but this is the one of only a few that have minimum faults.

I use the oculus every time i play this game, i have the dev kit 1 atm and have already purchased the latest one. I ordered it in march and i have to wait to the end of june to experience the new dev kit 2. The first dev kit is awesome the only problem with it it is you cant read the road singhs, im looking forward to using the new oculus kit for this game the specks are really good. Keep up the good video's im a big fan of your work and information you give to us all.

The ranger's side bars are supposed to be extra indicaters, also known as flashers
DAF is pronounced as you said it. The 'a' we pronounce a little bit different in The Netherlands though. DAF is short for Van Doorne's Automobielfabriek N.V. But it's part of PACCAR Company (Pacific Car and Foundry Company) now.
Those little lights on the ranger bumper are what my grandpa calls "idiot sticks" because they get knocked off if you graze anything at all.

I hope this mod like adds athentic trucks that the places use, if you know what I mean because in Tunisia, you'll mostly find us driving Scania or MAN and sometimes Volvo.

@ Rodger Black. I don't think ETS2 is officially out on Mac yet. But I bought ETS1 on steam early last week for £3 I think it's now down to £1.50 in their summer sale. ETS2 looks epic and I'm thinking of buying a PC just to play it. These videos just make me want to get trucking. @Squirrel your comment on the G27 is correct, a wheel is the best way to play these types of games, I use a G25 with full cockpit for Gran Turismo and other games. Plus I've been using it for ETS1 on my MacBook.
