Paul, if you hit a pedestrian with a Peterbilt, the plastic bug guard at the front of the bonnet would be the last thing they would worry about. The large alloy bumper would do more damage.
1 Stars and stripes on truck makes you priority target 2 you are lucky to have any tires on your truck, considering doing jobs in africa 3 yes, coastal africa is green 4 will be funny if you get to docks and other player gets you across with ship sim 5 you want to pick people on the road an get more money? What about that girl in red and spend some money :D 6 i live in crap country, can i have your "old" computer?
callum mclachlan Dissolving the furniture in the citric acid before adding the water and sugar gives it that certain bite that pepsi just doesn't provide =3
That glass on the front is usually just plastic, the same stuff that they make bonnet/headlight protectors out of. Here in Australia, truckers like to put little personal messages (most of the time really bad puns) on them. It keeps bugs off the windshield and trust me, those trucks are so huge there's no chance a pedestrian is going to go _over_ the hood :P
The front mirrors are required on school buses but not trucks although they have the markers on the front to see where your truck is those are optional also
in michigan the intersections are huge because there aren't really any weight restrictions, so you have huge trucks and trailers so trucks have plenty of room and don't need to crowd corners much. thats why there are not mirrors on the front
The clear piece of plexiglas with Peterbilt written on it on the hood of the truck is a bug catcher. It's supposed to keep bugs from splattering on the windshield using aerodynamics. XD
that glass peice on the front end is a wing for the wind so it will cause the air stream to go up and over the top of the truck to reduce drag and increase efficiency
As far as mirrors on the front of the american trucks, i don't really know about that being common but some do have mirrors up there but a lot of american trucks have little rods on the front end on both sides to with little orange lights on top to let you know where the front of the truck is along with letting you know how wide it is as well.
the glass on the front is and addon you can buy for juast about all american trucks. its a bug sheild. it cause thethe air passing over the front of the truck to deflect upward . they come as a solid chrome piece and tinted glass. i wish who eer made the truck would have finished it their are a few things missing such as the marker lights / blinkers that go on the side of the headlight pillars. front spot mirrors are also an after market accessorie.
Continue in with this truck my friend. By the way, here in the U.S.A we do have front mirrors on our trucks.Freightliner, Volvo, Mack, Peterbuilts. I'm enjoying your videos. I too never thought that north Africa has so much vegetation
also some north american trucks have mirrors for the front, either just one on the driver side, or one for both driver and passenger sides, so that the driver can see infront and they let the driver see cars that are coming up from behind as well...
the clear piece on front is a bug shield. how aerodynamics work with it it makes them fly over top above the windshield so theirs no bug guts blocking your view.
that type of road network is called a "beltway", Washington DC has one just like it. Its a way for vehicles to pass around a city without going through it and dealing with city traffic.
Lol to answer another question yes american trucks have mirrors in the front to show how close you are something, although it is not required by law, so not every truck has it. Lol I enjoy watching your videos, I recently just finish schooling to become a heavy duty diesel technician, I should just wait to the end of all your videos to answer any questions about american trucks you pose in your videos
Get a MAZ it has the most awesome sound you've ever heard. When I was a child, a lot of them were running around in Hungary. The ground was shaking from the sound of the engine. You just can't imagine, if you haven't heard one. But if that's not available, than change to an IVECO. Where I work, there's a red Stralis 360 4x2 with no sideskirts. It doesn't look that big compared to a DAF or a Volvo, let alone a Renault Magnum. Today I saw 3 white DAFs in a conwoy. I play with DAF, so ...... :D
Some trucks in America have mirrors on the very front of the hood on both corners. I don't think they are used for looking in front of the hood but for better visibility on the sides.
One thing for the mirrors is that European trucks are designed for much smaller places. That is one reason why a lot of long haul current American trucks are not cabovers.
The mirrors down the front don't exsist in American trucks because they sit high enough in the cab you can normally see plus they are taught to not get to close to others
Get a cool mod where your truck looks sporty and then use that truck to haul the cars so that it looks like your the truck that hauls the cars for the racing team. Keep up the good vids!
American trucks do have front mirrors but they are at the very front of the hood (bonnet), but the cost a lot and are very very small round mirrors and most drivers don't buy it.
No sorry Haley Nicole the hood on that Peterbuilt does NOT split, it's a tilt hood just like every other truck out there right now here in the U.S. that chrome band down the center is only for rigidity, because its a fiberglass hood and its flat across the top it would bounce all over without any support, the Pete I drove for a little while had the same, so if you want to know about American trucks, ask an American truck driver, I have driven Peterbuilt, Freightliner, Kenworth, and International
i personally don't like bug shields but on this truck they did a marvelous job on animating i also noticed this doesnt have the antennas on the front which enable you to see where the front of your truck is at parking or going round tight bends btw did you read my comment about motorbrake and shifting down ?
keep the peterbilt and in north america we dont really use those mirrors, we use rookie poles. they are the poles attached to the bumper with a light on the top. they are often called marker lights. i know them as rookie poles though. just google rookie poles.
Unlike everyone else it seems, I say you switch to an Iveco. I loved seeing this truck, but in this series I prefer it when you only keep a truck for one long job and maybe a last shirt one.
squirrel, yes there is front mirrors on the american trucks, most of them, and yes some truckers put the front bug screen on..that pete dose not turn very well,,is there any old rigs in the game?????? 60`s 70`s????????
oh and "where the pope lives" is the Basilica di San Pietro ;) PS: check that truck at the right at 13:10, you are not the only one with that awesome truck, and he also was carrying race cars"
in the US aka america they dont really have any restrictions on hood ordmentation or embles or anything like that but tbh i dont see many rigs with that on the front much anymore just depends on how small the company is i guess
The car load is only 9t, so which ever truck has the least power, take that, be it the IVECO or the Peterbuilt. It will make any climbing you have to do interesting :-) Looking forward to seeing how you go with the G27 as I already have one - awesome. Just waiting on my Track IR to arrive :-)
if you want to buy more mirrors you have huge shops in the truckstops with a ton of chrome accessories and mirrors I live in usa and have a Volvo VNL 780 18 Wheeler
i just realized squirrel, when you bought the garage only the first 3 digits of your money changed so you have 8 quaddrilon, or whatever the next step is after trillion
Peterbilt. And we don't use the front mirrors here in the US because, generally, the need to be THAT close to something is not necessary here, not as compact.
it is a bug shield and the make them from plexie glass (a strong plastic) Ive seen them made from polished stainless steel as well
the mirrors are a options you can have them or not
yeah, I see those bug shields all the time on trucks.
Paul, if you hit a pedestrian with a Peterbilt, the plastic bug guard at the front of the bonnet would be the last thing they would worry about. The large alloy bumper would do more damage.
1 Stars and stripes on truck makes you priority target
2 you are lucky to have any tires on your truck, considering doing jobs in africa

6 i live in crap country, can i have your "old" computer?
at 14:04, I found myself leaning to the right, to get more of an angle, before I realize, I'm staring at a computer monitor
17:26 In the US we call them lot lizards, a.k.a hookers.
Bvhk g
We love you. You are a professional driver. Not only Truck,Plane,Train,Bus,etc. Even alpha, Survival too.
25 tons of furniture to Coca Cola?
Maybe furniture is the secret ingredient.
callum mclachlan
lol

Dude the Peterbilt is what makes the series! Do not change it!
I don't know about the UK, but yes, the Peterbilt's do have that windscreen. In fact, a lot of trucks in the US have that.
The small plastic shield on the front is called a Bug Shield and they are popular in the US.
Yep
in michigan the intersections are huge because there aren't really any weight restrictions, so you have huge trucks and trailers so trucks have plenty of room and don't need to crowd corners much. thats why there are not mirrors on the front
The clear piece of plexiglas with Peterbilt written on it on the hood of the truck is a bug catcher. It's supposed to keep bugs from splattering on the windshield using aerodynamics. XD
The glass thing on the bonnet is called a Bug Deflector. It`s to help stop bugs flying onto the windscreen. They are on all truck with long bonnets.
Yes American trucks have mirrors on the front, it's just not in your game(mod). We also have that glass, which is plastic, as a bug deflector.
that glass peice on the front end is a wing for the wind so it will cause the air stream to go up and over the top of the truck to reduce drag and increase efficiency
I'm getting so much hw done with these vids. It's kind of relaxing really.
Not that it matters
10:03 major let down when we didn't get the plane
As far as mirrors on the front of the american trucks, i don't really know about that being common but some do have mirrors up there but a lot of american trucks have little rods on the front end on both sides to with little orange lights on top to let you know where the front of the truck is along with letting you know how wide it is as well.
1:32 there was a peterbilt that had the same paint job as you
the glass on the front is and addon you can buy for juast about all american trucks. its a bug sheild. it cause thethe air passing over the front of the truck to deflect upward . they come as a solid chrome piece and tinted glass. i wish who eer made the truck would have finished it their are a few things missing such as the marker lights / blinkers that go on the side of the headlight pillars. front spot mirrors are also an after market accessorie.

The glass is just a bug deflecter and it also is sometimes used to make the wind resestance less noticeable
also some north american trucks have mirrors for the front, either just one on the driver side, or one for both driver and passenger sides, so that the driver can see infront and they let the driver see cars that are coming up from behind as well...

They're nose mirrors and some trucks have them and some don't. Depends on the driver's preference and if it is their truck or the company's. Nice vid.
Squirrel, I love how when you pulled into the delivery point, you missed a Peterbuilt 379, with the same paintjob.
That glass piece on the hood is called a noseshield. It keeps bugs and rocks from hitting the wind shield many american trucks have those.
That piece of glass is a bug deflector... Basically it helps deflect the bugs from splattering them selves on your windshield.
man you're a legend recently discoverd your videos and im loving it :D
I want part 3! I am absolutely loving this series by the way.
that "glass" across the front of the truck is actually just thin plastic you see it alot in the U.S it helps save windsheilds from rock chips.
At 07:00 or so they are options in the USA. Can get them if you want them.
Get a MAZ it has the most awesome sound you've ever heard. When I was a child, a lot of them were running around in Hungary. The ground was shaking from the sound of the engine. You just can't imagine, if you haven't heard one.

Squirrel if the glass piece you are talking about is the bug deflector then yes they are perfectly legal in the USA.
Awesome vids, very nice driving and you do a great job of monolog, subbed for sure, keep it up man
17:20 interesting to learn that lot lizards is an international phenomena...
Awesome Videos Squirrel! Keep up the great work!
I am now really into this game thanks to you and the summer sale on steam and keep the peterbuilt
Can you do a job into split,Croatia? I went from Amsterdam to there yesterday and it's a beautiful drive!
north american trucks do have front miorirs its just not included on that truck and the front wind break is leagal but is usually much darker
I think you should trade it. That is what the research profile is for. You made it to test out more trucks. Please live up to your promise.
One thing for the mirrors is that European trucks are designed for much smaller places. That is one reason why a lot of long haul current American trucks are not cabovers.
The mirrors down the front don't exsist in American trucks because they sit high enough in the cab you can normally see plus they are taught to not get to close to others
on the newer trucks there are mirriors on the end of the hood to see whats right in front of your bumper and how close you are to stuff
Keep the Peterbilt. And yes, they do have a mirrors on the right, front corners of the hood so you can see what's in front.
Have to agree the planes coming in when its on dust they have there lights on...Nice touch
Cheers DSN as always enjoy ;)
PEACE!!!
Loving the ets2 videos keep it up. Cheers.
Get a cool mod where your truck looks sporty and then use that truck to haul the cars so that it looks like your the truck that hauls the cars for the racing team. Keep up the good vids!
Must say I really enjoyed that 3 part trip
Enjoy your vids so much. Oh a no brainer, keep the truck!
13:03
Another Peterbilt with the same paint job
'Its like Milton Keynes this'.... Funniest thing I've heard someone say for a long time!
i have just subscribed and bought the game... looks fun thanks DaSquirrelsNuts!
Hey squirrel, I don't know if you know this but, if there is a yield sign above a red light it means you can turn right legally if the road is clear.
Aha! I knew someone would know :)
The airport in Tripoli was Schiphol airport in Amsterdam, that tunnel and tower is from schiphol
That control tower looks like the tower at Schiphol Amsterdam Airport!
American trucks do have front mirrors but they are at the very front of the hood (bonnet), but the cost a lot and are very very small round mirrors and most drivers don't buy it.

14:53 OMG! That building there on the right looks EXACTLY like the ING (bank) head office building in Amsterdam! What's it doing in Italy?! xD
That trick looks AWESOME!
OMG...did they put in a "Lot Lizard" at the 14:53 time mark? LOL
i personally don't like bug shields but on this truck they did a marvelous job on animating i also noticed this doesnt have the antennas on the front which enable you to see where the front of your truck is at parking or going round tight bends btw did you read my comment about motorbrake and shifting down ?
WOW!!!! American damn looking truck and an airport, WONDERFUL!!!
keep the peterbilt and in north america we dont really use those mirrors, we use rookie poles. they are the poles attached to the bumper with a light on the top. they are often called marker lights. i know them as rookie poles though. just google rookie poles.
Hey Paul,it should have. Squirrel logo on the planes!!
Round 3:10 after he gets off the plane, there was another truck with uncle sam on the back xD
the sun visor on the front of the truck is an add on for anytype of truck thats not a cab over
The glass at the front is a bug-shield. they come in all colors and are transparent.
oh and "where the pope lives" is the Basilica di San Pietro ;)
PS: check that truck at the right at 13:10, you are not the only one with that awesome truck, and he also was carrying race cars"
In billings Montana there are around 10 of the damn roundabouts
keep up the good job man!!!!#sending love from America

PAUL-2016
How to do move your camera up closer and farther away from the wheel?
I live in Maryland in the us and there are a lot of round a bouts as we call them too maybe not as much in Milton kearns but there are a lot
I mean LOOK AT YOUR TRUCK!!!! You said that you liked the Peterbilt 379 and you're trying to trade it?! CMON my friend...... Keep the truck
I think only certain brands of American trucks have frontal mirrors. That or its just an option to have one just like in game.
I loved how they added the "lot lizard".
if you want to buy more mirrors you have huge shops in the truckstops with a ton of chrome accessories and mirrors I live in usa and have a Volvo VNL 780 18 Wheeler
i just realized squirrel, when you bought the garage only the first 3 digits of your money changed so you have 8 quaddrilon, or whatever the next step is after trillion
I'd love to see this truck rollin' with the sports cars... though this is not what most of us want I guess. :(
in the u.s. some trucks have mirrors on the hod that shows the front of the truck
Ex: international prostar
we do have some trucks that have the mirrors down here that show the front of the truck
With Peter built it will look well coooool
Stay with the Peterbilt. It will look sick with the cars in back
Squirrel it WAS a plane , there is just no way the modders can make it say Airport!
Peterbilt. And we don't use the front mirrors here in the US because, generally, the need to be THAT close to something is not necessary here, not as compact.
Can't wait till next episode
You sound alot like Wheatley from Portal 2. Also great video showing off a great truck
When They said the Airport was a Train station, probably they meant "Airtrain Station" XD
