Now whenever I'm driving along that particular road I always refer to that blind summit where the collision happened as "Squirrel's Peak".

The AI actually reacts to the horn, also to the blinker, they know your position and what you are gonna do, and if you are honking, they sometimes move out of your line if you are going faster...
Oh yeah, that was before I got v1.22 (I was on 1.17 for a while) I remember I was in the wrong lane and indicating for a while and an AI car was refusing to let me through, I beeped my air horn a few times and he/she backed off. Oh yeah, and another time an AI car was following a bus coming off a ramp, and I had right of way. Luckily he/she stopped when I beeped cos that could've ended really badly.

one time I was going down a 2-lane road in ETS2, what i like to call the "death road" south of Reims, France, and went head-first into a bus in my weak volvo. The truck had 92% damage and costed 40 thousand or so to repair. Now, Im afraid of 2 lane French roads and buses. Thanks ETS2!

This is by far one of my favourite videos on RUclips. Have to come back and watch every couple of months, very very good. I know that Squirrel probably does not check comments for these videos anymore, but I had to show my appreciation for such entertainment!
I knew the £38k repair fee was coming, and that skipping on cabin repair would not help motor stalling (done both!), but I noticed you didn't know that you can rest on the repairshop parkinglot. Maybe it's too late to tell you though. You are very good at reversing! And yeah, this game really tends to evoke the Stockholm syndrome. Lovely game, but oh, so aggravating details. It almost encourages road bullying, because the AI never cares about signals nor gives way when any car is in wrong place.
What I like to do when some idiot crashes into me (when it ain't my fault), is stop,detach the trailer and ram the idiot off the road,re-attach the trailer and proceed as planned...I get a weird sense of revenge satisfaction.lol

Had something like that happen last night while playing. my trailer was clipped by a car merging into my lane, while taking a turn and caused my truck to loose control and hit a median and roll over. 50% truck damage, 20% trailer damaged. A 25k payoff turned into a 10k payoff. Thanks game!

Hi Squirrell. I know this video was some time ago. But i really felt the need to just tell you man, i watch all your content. I literally just love your general conversation throughout. You are so engaging with your viewers. Anyway i have been going through a lot of crap lately, like literally to the point i just feel like i cant go on anymore. But going back on this particular video really made my morning. Just how everything literally went wrong for you. Starting off with the high speed collision, to getting tired, your engine malfunctioning, then it starts raining, then the cost of your trucks damages, and all the fines lol. Man it just gave me a sense of happiness. Which i have not felt for some time now. It makes me want to play this game myself, maybe when i can afford to get a gaming pc, i am definately going to try this game. But my point is i just really want to thank you because creators like yourselves you put your content out there for the world to see. You save do many lives, mine being one of them. I just wanted to thankyou for that. Your a good person, please keep being you.

The M4 goes over the second Severn Bridge. The Old Severn Bridge (and a section of the old M4) became the M48, But both are called "Severn Bridge" with the old one which is now on the M48 known as the "Old Severn Bridge"

I love Eurotruck. Especially when you are on a job with a tight deadline, are already dealing with a damaged truck, lack of rest and heavy traffic, then it throws a road accident that closes off the entire section of road and requires a several mile detour to go around.

I get there early for most jobs. I don't think I've ever been late on one of the jobs. The only time I had a problem was when i got stuck on the WHATTHAFUCKOHMYGOD!!!

So funny, I re-started with ETS2 today and the exact same thing happened to me on my way to Southhampton, I was overly tired, thought I could rest on the train, was running late, did not find the correct track onto the train, etc etc.
Never had a maniac overtaking right into me yet. though.
So much better than the "family-friendly" new stuff.
i've just been speeding fined and i'm sight seeing! hilarious how unlucky that was, in the same episode as that ridiculous fine hahaha
If only he hadn't have overtaken those trucks then they would have crashed not him

I didn't count the loan installment he paid, nor the money that was provided by his drivers in the time period, as those aren't related to this specific trip.

The traffic cameras in the US are grey or white and usually mounted up on the traffic signal masts. Some are even hidden and those are the ones that check your speed or if you run a light or defeat a railroad crossing or speed in a school zone

That made me laugh. I rest before i take a job, that helps a lot, plus time on a ferry counts as rest time. Ive never had such a disastrous trip that wasn't self inflicted. I recently layed my FH16 on its side in Poland (doing 96mph)
