- Trying out the new TSM 4.x map and Heavy Trailer pack I pick up a 48t Panzer tank and take it from Africa to Portugal in a brand new Majestic truck. It will be interesting to see how the Majestic copes with this load which has a similar weight to the Boabab tree I pulled with the Volvo. The biggest enemy however, seems to be the AI.

I would argue that the TrackIR is very good value. I mean, after 125 hours of euro truck having to look around and check for traffic with the mouse while juggling my G27 with full manual transmission set up, i can't believe I haven't been aware of the TrackIR's existence until discovering these videos yesterday. Being able to use actual physical head checks seems like an essential add-on for anyone looking to spend more than 50 hours on a game like this.
If you already have a webcam you can quite easily build your own TrackIR device. I build one for less than £5 and attached it to a cap with a Sony PS3 Eye webcam as a receiver. Building instructions is at free-track (dot) net, all you need is a couple of IR diodes, resistors and a power source (battery of some kind preferably). You then use FaceTrackNoIR which emulates the TrackIR protocol. FTNOIR doesn't need an IR setup, it can track your face directly but IR is much more accurate.
paul, the 6x4 majestic has the same fuel tank as the normal 4x2 because that second axle makes your truck longer than normal.

No, there is a H-shifter with it. What I mean is that on the H-shift block, there is a switch to allow you to just push the stick forward or back for sequential shifting, or just allow H-shifting.
the G 25 is the previous model of the 27 i have tasted both and i have the G 25 at home... the differences between those models are the 25 has less buttons on the wheel (only two) but it has 3 different shift functions 1) on the wheel, 2) H - shifter and 3) + / - function with the gearstick (last is only G25) ... greetings from Austria, keep trucking ;)
ETS2 works perfectly with a Logitech DFGT, for those who find the G27 out of their budget. I bought a used DFGT about two years ago for £55, and it still serves me very well.
ETS2 recognises the controller fine, even giving proper prompts for keybindings (e.g. the prompt will read "Joy Triangle" to match the actual labels, instead of something vague like "Button 3").
Even the previous-gen DFPro would be a big uppgrade over keyboard or gamepad, and you could find those cheaper still.
Squirrel, if you want to know how many kilometres or miles you can go without having to fill up on fuel, just hit I, it think that's what the default is. It will change the display screen on the dash and there is usually 4 different screens that you can go through. But you may know this already, it helps me so I don't have to stop all the time
The G25 is simply the predecessor to the G27. There are almost no changes to it. I've had the G25, and now have the G27. For those of you who wanted to know, they're essentially the same thing. G27 has LED shift indicators. Also, the H-Shifter has a "switch" on the g25, meanwhile the G27 does not.

I bought my G 25 in late 2007 and it never disappointed me !!! I life in Holland and pre-orderd this steering wheel. Still I use it every time I play ETS 2 and works fine. I had the opportunity to try the G 27, but not much of an advantage with this wheel. In enjoy your video`s.. Thank you for this !!!!!

I noticed with the Majestic trucks, there is a button on the centre console which has the Merc symbol on it...
G25 and G27 are borderline identical.
G27 has a few more buttons, the gearbox is a bit better, and that's pretty much it.
G25 can also switch between sequential, and H-Shifter, which is something a G27 cannot do.

I already had a Logitech G27 or my ps3 so when I got this game it was a simple case of switching a few cables around and then having a great Simulation. Yes the G27 is a lot of money but its also one of the best realistic feeling wheels so its worth the money :)
His research profile is what he tests and plays with mods that he isn't wanting to use on his realistic career profile. I believe he also stays with the currently available release patch for his career profile with him using the older patches for some of these mods on his research profile.

Squirrel, if you want more difficult delivery points, then try to deliver the Crawler Excavator from the TSM Heavy Trailer Pack into Trameri. I think that will be hard enough.(It's called Trameri in the Vanilla game. Don't know what replaces it in your real Companies mod.)

The G25 is just as good as the G27, it just has 2 buttons on the wheel, rather than 6, no shift indicator lights on the wheel, and a rotary switch on the gearstick to swap between H-shift and sequential shift. Everything else is basically the same as the G27.
Trackir has more value than a G27 in my opinion because you can use it with more games. You can use it with Arma and any other kind of sim made these days.The G27 however is strictly limited to driving games, and is still more expensive.
Use the beacons ! You said you put them because you needed it. They add more feel to trucking
Hi, I've watched a couple of your videos and I think they're awesome :D Well done, it's all great, one thing I thought you should know is that you can remove the majestic and turn it to mercedes by getting the ultimate truck mod, from my experience it's well worth it, and the mod adds tons more fun to the game :D

15:45min - What does a car do against the road? It looks like OMSI traffic sometimes. Crazy.
That sounds great with BeamNG soft body physics, but i think, they go a bit 'too far' with the damage. Maybe similar physics, but not as harsh haha.
Are you going to make Squirrel logistics into a series? Personally i want to see more of it

It's very expensive, not everything supports Oculus Rift and besides that, you can't see your hands or the peripherals in front of you or anything in the room around you. You can't very well have a drink or a snack with that while you're playing. TrackIR is way more versatile and it's cheaper.
Love your video's Paul. Just one slight criticism about the mod which I've noticed is that Lisbon is Bremen.
G25 G27 they are mostly the same the G25 is a little more louder and only 2 buttons on the wheel and the H shifter on the G25 can also turn into a sequential shift option
Paul, I agree what you say about the Mercedes being a bit of an ugly ducking, but have you seen the current/newer version of the Mercedes Actros? I noticed Stobart have added one to their fleet and its pretty good looking truck in my opinion, and this is coming from another die hard Scania Fan-Boy
i didn`t know your involved with scs projects and stuff...marvelous i must say.plz if yu culd ask whether its possible to have a 1min to 2min shot video showing handy recovery men attending to your broken down truck on the road side or even your truck getting recovered by a recovery vehicle that is when your truck gets really serious damage.thnx i will appreciate.

That car was invisible on aproach then appeared after you hit it having rewound the vid 3 times didnt come off the slip road.
PC IS SUPERIOR XD seriously i tried every console: PS3, XBOX 360 and Wii. And I owned all of them. I changed for PC last january and seriously I stay on PC for the rest of my life :)
the truck 25:58 stopped because it was a renault and the engine malfunctioned! XD

Question: is there going to be a option that you can make your own companie not like your garages but that you could buy an distributioncentre an let your hired people drive your trailers with an option in the game to make your own trailer skin.
Heres a challenge for ya by the lowest hp iveco truck and find the heavyest load you can find

Because you will lose your momentum during the Gear change, and with lower RPM's you wont have the power to get up the hill
I would really like to see the AI get some work. Make them at least respect your truck's space a little more.

It's a profile with edited money. You can quite easily edit the amount of money you have, look for a tutorial on RUclips.
I only have one question, will they add the option to upload user made logos and use them ass paint attachments?

Haha, but nobody does - truckers get paid very little, and the company owners still won't get €100K for driving from Sweden to France.
SIMcityplayer2002 They do get paid well in America, but they're always on the job, so the money doesn't get spent well a lot of the time.
