Exemplar: I see what's happening, yeah. You're face to face with greatness and it's strange. You don't even know how you feel, it's adorable! Well it's nice to know that NPCs never change. Open your eyes let's begin, it's really Nahoa drink it in. I know it's a lot, the hair, the bod, when you're staring at a...

Ngl I think the Classes in Secrets of Magic onward have been such bangers that older Classes (especially APG) could use tune up or spice. Exemplar filling in that fantasy of a hero makes Fighter seem a little dry and I hope they add subclasses or focus spells.
Also I find it wild that the Animist can use heavier armor than the Exemplar.

They are never adding subclasses or Focus Spells to Fighter, it ruins the simplicity of it all and the class doesn't really need more magical options. At most, they can probably do some class archetypes to condense the multiclass stretch it kind of stuck with (Brawler for having thigns to do with Legendary Unarmed, for example).
The older classes definitely all need tune ups, if not full redesigns. All the APG classes, with the probably exception of Investigator, all were kind of FUBAR'd at launch and the mechanical changes introduced since SoM have left them all wanting in some degree. I would say:
Swashbuckler either needs Legendary Weapons or the same Bonus Skill Proficiencies as Rogue and Investigator. Bare minimum, DEX-to-Damage. It is outright missing proficiencies overall and the upcoming Rogue Racket reworks will make it very...useless an option to pick.
Oracle can use more Granted Spells, Divine Access for free, and rebalancing on all the Mystery and Curse Benefits.
Investigator needs the Tome Implement boon of letting you choose when to use your Devise A Strategem roll, as well as some INT-to-Damage. Perhaps elaborating a bit on what is too broad a subject to have as your Lead and what makes for good Leads.
Witch we already know what buffs are happening, but they could go further in buffing the Hex Cantrips and giving it Basic Lesson for free.

I'm stoked because my GM is thinking about doing a high power game where everyone is playing these, I'm planning on doing "Argot, earth binder, keeper of cave and mountain." This is going to be fun.

God Peerless Under Heaven is giving Whose Cry is Thunder a real run for its money in my eyes. I love me some lightning shit but good lord the other one is so dope too. Also I imagine these issues will be cleared up in its actual release but the only light armor thing is so sad. My first idea for an Exemplar was a plate male crusader style build. And to that same point the unclarity on the Thunder ability should get cleared up. Yeah I do imagine the intent is for the Thor style throwing your weapon thing. But I stg if some GM out there tries to hit me with "No you cant actually huck your Zweihander like a Zeus level lightning bolt or make a slice so fine you cut the sound barrier to do this attack. You actually have to be using a BOW." I will cry. There will be tears. I want a cool divine ability, not a bomb arrow.

It does say “fire or hurl your weapon” and “weapon’s first range increment or 30 feet whichever is further”, both of which I’d bring up to any GM who says that you can’t huck your zweihander. I’d argue that it literally says hurl your weapon, and if your weapon has no range increment then 30 feet is certainly further than the tip of the sword ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Thunder immanence deals damage to a target within 30 feet. You can hit the same target of the weapon strike or you might need to target an ally against a single enemy.

Cutting whitout blade would let you choose which ikon you use without an action to change it? You would use the one you want to use on your turn than change to the passive you want and could do that every turn.

Peerless Under Heaven's Reap is really bad. If the second attack misses the first attack deals no damage. The only slight benefit is the ability to move slightly between strikes, but you are almost always better off just making two attacks normally.

Skybearer's Belt does not, as written, grant the character increased carrying capacity as you are not your own Ally and it doesn't specify you are included.

A Place Beyond Mortality can only be done once per day, so even if you regain Focus Points every 10 minutes you can't keep doing it. Yes the Exemplar is less immortal than the Animist.
