Worth noting that, based on the way Bane/Malediction is phrased, you can't make enemies resave with a Sustain: it only affects enemies which *haven't* been affected, which reads to me as "Enemies which haven't been in the circle". I could be wrong, though. It's definitely ambiguous.

I play tortuga and ride a lancelot with a goblin, the Lancelot move us around and the goblin make enemies trigger my overwatch. I also take bonded with the Lancelot.

I love "even the odds" even if it's not "Mathematically superior" to other options The idea that I have a literal ability where my character can say "5 against 1? Heh, then it's a fair fight" in the corniest marvel way, is 10/10. you cannot change my mind on this.

I agree with quite a bit of your list, but I feel like we have very different opinions on what makes a good roleplay class. I was really surprised by how far you knocked Oracle and Champion. Especially because "Some curses don't actually hurt you" was a complaint pre-remaster too

I find the Flash Cloak trait is a big miss, as one thing it would help you is getting out of engagement. But due to that you are not considered moving until you move at least one space means that any unit that overwatches you can do so before you move and turn invisible. Making in a sense the trait worthless as anything that can overwatch you does so before your defense trait even turns on

Everyone should optimize characters. Optimize for what you wanan do. Thats why optmization content is so important. Conflating optimization and jerks that want to break the game isnt too helpful from my experience.

In a pathfinder game I'm currently in, I'm a wild order druid and we have a "beach base" with a dock and a ship that we found and fixed up. When I'm short on rations, I turn into a shark and swim out to catch fish and instead of swallowing it, carry it all in my mouth and spit it up on shore. We then clean it and cook it or smoke it and sell it for gold or save some for rations

Daggerheart is pretty casual and narrative focused and while it can be complicated and homebrewed, it can even adapt to other ttrpgs and the rules of daggerheart aren't too complicated and can make it easier for new dm's I don't see any reason why parts of Pathfinder 2e couldn't be adapted to run in daggerheart format

Hyperawarenes makes so that your e-defense against tech-attacks could be a 8 on average (which is an average e-def for most mechs) and a 12 at most which is pretty good Invest a few points on systems and you can be kinda safe against hackers, invest a little more in evasion and most mechs will struggle a lot to hit you Then i think it's a matter of choosing between heat capacity from engineering or getting more sturdy by leveling hull But my point is that hyperawarenes makes your already good evasion even better and your seemingly abismal e-def not thaaaat bad (still bad tho)

Fighter isn't the best martial because they just have the expert in weapons. Look what the Ranger, Barbarian, and literally every other martial has. "Fighter is best martial" isn't just narratively unsound, it's also *mechanically* unsound. All this to say that Pathfinder 2e is designed in a manner where "grizzled war veteran" and "nerdy and soft spoken diplomat who prefers not to use his rapier" can both fight as equals.

Congratulations and welcome to parenthood! I am what you would call a “casual player,” with experience in D&D 3.0, 3.5, Savage Worlds Pathfinder and only recently Lancer. That sounds like a lot, but I’m a parent of 4, married 23 years, so I have actually bought and read books but often never been able to actually use them (5th edition books were used literally 2 or 3 times over a few years). There’s not a lot of time. In fact, I have zero local friends and therefore no one to sit down at a physical table with. So I am very interested in things like learning Roll20 and learning Lancer (I plan on running it with friends online since there aren’t any close by). I look forward to your content.
